  1. Thank you people. Tip with Facebook, if you have their account details, set yourself as an "legacy contact" before memorising the account. But it was kinda simple. I think I choose an options under to report an account. after few clicks and digs, it took me to a page asking who to memorialize, date of passing and documentation. They said it would take a few days while a real person looks, but it happened within the hour of me submitting. Still got to boot up her computer. But small steps.
  2. Hello people, Just over 2 weeks ago my wife passed away suddenly and at some point I'll need to tackle the need to trim her footprint. I am looking for advice and tips in these regards. I do have access to her phone and her pc. But right now I am not up for digging into them. (other than her emails on her phone for admin stuff) I am totally clueless, we kept on saying we should do our passwords and accounts in a safe book but with myself at 38 and MrsPsycho at 35 we had no rush. This post is looking for help in that regards, and when I am ready to do what needs to be done. Thanks in advance.
  3. Not sure if this is appropriate if not then just delete Couple of my friends are doing a 24 stream to raise money for mind and they are about over half way though. Many thanks in advance
  4. Taran fair play the amount of effort to make your command center makes total sense. How long befor you can start making and selling this to others who need it... I know silly idea but there must be more people who need something like this? Also my wife asked me to tell you to speak English.... Same when i watch Steve from GN.... but then I barely understand... but I do feel I have learned something. Thank you
  5. Budget & Location: Location is UK based. My Budget is more if it is between £200 to £300 for part(s) than I will get those parts that month. Aim: The aim of the system is basically an upgrade to what I am using right now. When I wanted to try and stream my games to twitch it looked awful… like power point. I also want to be able to reuse my old machine (1st as a rig for my wife to play games and 2nd after she has gotten a new one possible a mass storage rig). I don't want to have same regrets as my last build which was feeling I got a too weak CPU… but my god it has done me good. Monitors: Two 24" 1080p monitors. I've two monitors for over 10 years now, and I feel hamstrung when the times I've gone down to one. (old ones failing in a rage of blue sparks…ect) I don't see me going to 3 but not going to count it out. But 2 at 1440p may be on the cards… but not for a long time. Also Maybe VR, but have to try it out as I only have one eye, so some experiments are needed. Peripherals: I'll be honest I think I am good for them, I generally get them as and when I need them. Also will be running windows 10 home (64-bit) Why am I upgrading: Main reason: Last year I got myself set that I wanted to stream and record my games I play. And well it ended so quick and found out that my FX-4350 was not up to the task (yer I know). Other Main: My wife keeps asking to join me when I play rust/Minecraft because she says it sounds like fun. So at some point she will inherit the old rig, but she will get a new rig at some point Right Basic questions answered. What I am going to do is build a machine by getting a part each mouth. I allready have gotten a new case and psu. The following the plan for the core parts of the new machine and the spec of my current rig Old rig: AMD FX(tm)-4350 Quad-Core Processor ASUS sabertooth 990fx r2.0 16GB DDR 3 (4x4GB) ASUS STRIX GTX 970 Samsung EVO 850 250gb (main) Samsung EVO 750 250gb WD blue 1TB New rig core plan: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X ASUS- ROG STRIX X470-F G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16BG (2x8BG) DDR4-3000 Corsair - RMx 650W Fully Modular ATX PSU NZXT - (matte Black/Orange) H440 The plan is to re-use my 970 to start off with, also I would most likely get some new SSD or even an M2. The reason for the cpu is because I feel looking and reading up that Ryzen will give me best encoding to twitch. I do have an Intel - Core i7-8700k planned build, I haven't pulled the trigger… but I will most likely do the ryzen. As the graphics card, GTX 1070 is the goal but it will be the last part I will get. Hey this is my rambling, Thanks for letting me have an outlet for my crazy.
  6. Right not sure if its in the right area, but I see a VR headsets as an Peripheral. Anyway, I am Blind in my right eye and I have 2 real questions about VR: 1st: Dose anyone else who also has one eye know if VR still works? I am thinking yes as I don’t have stereoscopic vision in RL so not in VR should mean I will still be able enjoy the immersion part of VR. 2nd: If that works then would it be possible to be able to turn off the need to render/run the 2nd screen in a VR headset? The reason that I would like to turn it off is that I think it would not tax my GTX 970 as much. Also I think it would be interesting to simulate being blind in one eye in VR games for those people with heads full of eye balls. Yes I’m weird, but then we all are
  7. Thanks guys! I’m 35. Also the base for my build is that it should be able to stream that doesn’t make it look power point like what my current build ended up doing.
  8. Hi, I thought I better say hi.... Hi *ok bit awkward* I’m well a “hobbyists” pc builder or in other words I enjoy building pcs but Has the common sense that I can not do a new build once a week... **bills need paying and I like food** Only really been watching for a few weeks properly, but kinda on/off since watching 7 gamers - 1 cpu. But the one that really started the watching binge was the broken Mac Pro Video (was watching Louis Rossmann at the time as background while doing some model painting - my other expensive hobby) The end result is that I have pulled the trigger in starting A New pc build to replace my 4 year old cpu. Due to R.L. Requirements I am getting the build basically one/two parts at a time. I have already got the case and psu. (Going to post old spec/new in relevant topic areas) This gives me time to make my mind up on red or blue camps. I work in computer retail in the UK. It’s a job, and even on the really sucky day I remind myself that it pays the bills and my hobby vices. My wife is super understanding, to the point that she keeps asking to play “rust” with me... So that will happen at some point. She also said that I should do an unboxing video... Where cool idea, I might do it like a personal v-blog (? Not sure if that means video blog). Well that’s like a basic introduction... or a basic if not very wordie hello, oh also a big thank you for making all the videos. My wife said that she has noticed how much enthusiasm its given me to do a new build and she said its been a long time she’s seen that in me. (She is saying thank you as well) Anyway its getting a bit late and I better get some sleep. Thanks guys
