  1. Linus once mentioned how his phone drained quickly for unknown reasons, I have this same issue on all my galaxy devices, I had assumed it was microsd card, but its doing it even without it installed on my note 9. For the last few days I've been using an anker power bank to fully charge my phone, since doing this I've notice my phone is retaining a charge alot longer, I typically end the day with 30% power where as previously I'd have my phone die around 3pm. Please note I used the supplied charge of the phone, I'm thinking this issue could be a safety mechanism for over night charging limiting the potential charge and preventing overcharge as this issue only appeared when Samsung had battery bloat issues.
  2. I'm using the asus GT5600, current firmware. I was just hit by a botnet attack of 1100 attacks with in 2 mins and it was sustained for 19 mins before I managed to stop it. It almost took out the router, my request is. What is currently the most secure wifi router with gigabits lan ports. Price doesn't matter.
  3. Any idea? I usually just use my computer, but I'm considering an external unit for backup and video streaming in home and off site
  4. I have a friend who has had 3 GPU die the same way, while gaming, sudden black screen, followed by reboot, loads into bios but when loading into windows displays corruption the reboots. My first assumption was a bad power supply, possibly underpowered or damage by voltage spike under high load. As I've not managed to get my hands on this interesting specimen I cant confirm. His system is mid range, the gpu was well tested before I gifted him it(980ti) His psu is a corsair maybe 600watt. I'm trying to track down all possible risks prior to getting my hands on it. So, as I'm not an electrician and I run all my systems through UPS what are the effects of dirty power on a system under high load with a psu running 80% of its wattage?
  5. This is my point, so we actually know they work now days? Surge protection is pretty simple tech, but is it really performing like it should in avg consumers model
  6. I'd really love to see this test, do cheap consumer surge protectors and UPS really help or are you throwing money down the drain.
  7. What is the bios error code, is the system booting with no gpu found error? Buy a cheap £15 pcie gpu, gain entry into bios and check to see if its booting from the Igpu by default. The motherboard might need an update before it supports the igpu
  8. I dont have a screen shot atm, but after getting sli ti work I got a score of around 19.380 /19.408 this was 4k optimized benchmarking, overclocked. Cpu 5ghz 6950x. GPU 1080ti x2 + 60% voltage core 2200 memory 6000 Not 100% stable. How does this compare with others?
  9. That music! My new ring tone. Of course I'll never answer the phone ever again
  10. Point me to it! It's as good as bought. Still the project sounds fun still
  11. I'd really love to see if its possible to build a full pc inside the corpse of an old amiga 500. With this system it would need to seal perfectly inside the case and have the spec to play both emulate-amiga and old pc games, external drive is possible only if it looks like the old amiga version. Setting up the amiga emulator and dosbox boot fun. Sounds like a job for linus!
  12. I need a little information, my loop has developed a fault, I have a slow leak which is causing no issues other than loss of 1 inch of coolant a month, however I've decided to renew my whole loop. My new case will be the corsair 1000D, I'll use the EK 140 D5 pen rgb pump, my issue is I need 2x 480 mm radiators to maintain my temperatures and stability at low gan rpm. Currently I'm using 2x ultra thick monsta reds with fan rpm at 700. Is there any other rads you can recommend?
  13. 1 You have a faulty cable between your home and the Fibler/broadband box. 2 You are being throttled at peak time. Your traffic is being managed due to provider policy 3 Network is unstable due to poor maintenance at the local box 4 You have Vpnfilter virus infection on your router with is causing network resync. (This is unlikely) Phone your provider and complain they're lazy and it's their job to solve the issue
