  1. YES I saw this yesterday too and couldn't believe it. Could get one off FB marketplace for cheaper than them. Except now the scalpers will buy them for 1300 and try to sell for 1400+ at this rate Whats hilarious now is that if you search for 3070s on their mobile website, they've dropped the prices back down to £800-1000 Curry's is hands down the best in terms of actual retail price
  2. Well yeah if he can budget it in then of course, case fans consume like 5w each or something so its good if he plans to overclock or upgrade

I think you've made some great choices, a 1070 is great for 1440p gaming 520W power supply is sufficient, I'd say not much point going above 600W - in this case I would be more concerned about the quality of the PSU since your specs really only use 350-400W load (from what I've read, the evo version seems better if you can get it, although the standard version is still great) In case you aren't completely sure I am using a 1070, DDR3 ram and a 3rd gen i7 with a 450W mini-itx power supply. No issues at all.
