  1. I built my new pc 2 days ago, and i had everything running fine. That is, utnil I decided to restart it just now. When I went to restart it, windows prompted me to update and restart, and i thought "yeah, why not, I'm restarting it anyways, might as well update." Well now it doesn't even boot, and I'm struggling to find out why. All I know is that my mobi keeps throwing code 0d, which I've read has something to do with my ram, maybe. IDK, I'm not an expert (contrary to what I like to think) so I decided to ask the forums, because you probably know something I don't. Thanks for the help in advance. Here's the build: cpu- Ryzen 7 2700x cooler- Corsair h100i v2 gpu- Gigabyte gtx 1060 6gb Aorus rev2.0 ram- G.Skill ripjaws V 16gb 3200mhz mobo- Asus ROG Crosshair VII hero ssd- Samsung 960 evo (for OS and core programs) hdd- WD Black 2tb (for games and junk) psu- Corsair rm750x os- windows 10 home 64 bit
  2. I'm building my first pc today, but I'm curious to know if i should partition my ssd for windows 10. My boot drive is a 500GB 960 Evo, and all my games and stuff are going on a 2TB WD Black. When my friend had his PC professionally built at our local Fry's Electronics, I noticed that's what they had done. Should i do the same? If so, how would I go about doing that? I can't seem to find any decent answers elsewhere online.
  3. How should I go about getting the cable outside though, without it looking tacky. If it's obvious, my mother will make me take it down. Also, would it be okay to bury the cables? She has 3 dogs that like to chew and urinate on things, so I don't want it within their reach.

  5. Unfortunately, my mother is a bit picky, so moving the router isn't an option.
  6. I finally managed to afford to build my own PC, there's just one problem... I'm not sure how to get ethernet to it. I live in a building in my parents backyard (ikr, what a bum), we had the building put in about 5 to 7 years ago. The power to the building is routed from the original breaker box on the main house, into a secondary box next to it, through some wiring laid in the ground, to another breaker box on the side of the building I'm in, then into the building. the main house was built around 1982 or '83. The modem is located in the living room, on the opposite side of the house from the breaker box. All of this has me thinking powerline may not be a viable option. The WiFi is total garbagio, so I'm not even really considering that as an option. I'll only be living here for another 2 months, so I don't need any drastic solutions (not that my mom would let me get away with any) but I don't want to be stuck with this nice, expensive PC that I can't use for a few months. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
