  1. Hello, I recently built my computer which has a ryzen 7 3700x, 32gb of oloy warhawk ram, a 500gb m.2 ssd, and a 2tb hard drive. As well as an Asus x570 tuf gaming wifi, and a r9 280x, which is temporary until my 2070 super comes in. The computer works , I know it does because I tested it before the case and it booted properly. Now I put it in the case and the debug light for the cpu stays on no matter what, I reset the computer turn off and on. The same thing. Do you guys know what's wrong?

  2. Hello, I recently setup my computer parts outside of the box to make sure everything worked properly. It did I installed Windows 10 pro 64bit, but then after it rebooted it kept in staying in a constant turning on and off of the monitor and the led light for VGA is on. And it's been like this for 4 minutes.

    CPU: 3700x

    Mobo: x570 tuf gaming wifi

    Ram: oloy 32gb

    Ssd: hp ex900

Temp gpu while my main one gets here: sapphire r9 280x vapor-x

EDIT: I RESTARTED IT AND IT WORKS NOW.

When I checked the promotion, it says that when the card has shipped, you'll get the codes in your email within two business days. If it hasn't shipped then, then you'll have to wait for a little bit.

Okay, I will order it, but then if I haven't gotten anything I will most likely email Amazon or Nvidia.

If you wanted to get the redeem code in your email, you would need to purchase it from the first-party vendor. What I mean is when you look at who's selling the product in question, it needs to read "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com". Anyone other than Amazon.com as the seller are not participants to the promotion deal.

I am getting my EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Black Edition in the mail on the 10th of September, and it was sold by a third-party. So I'm not getting the codes.

Yeah it shows ships and sold by Amazon.com, but no free download code.

yes, the cards arent available in masses. it will soon become better so you should wait. wait till stores have a bunch of them. then prices will drop a bit. However the msi gaming x trio or gaming x gaming z etc etc etc are always more priced due to the cooling design and clock speeds.

However it would be good to know your pc system and which msi rtx card you were thinking of buying.

Yeah, I am planning on getting a 3700x and the rtx 2070 super gaming x trio.

  6. I'm not quite so sure this is the proper forum to post this on, but since it's involving graphics cards I thought it would be fine. I'm going to purchase a new graphics card for my system I'm building soon, and really liked the gaming x trio card from msi, but checked and saw they are overpriced on Amazon, and b&h has had them as a pre order for the longest time ever. Does anybody know what's going on?

Never had issues with G.Skill, as for OLOy, I don't have much of an opinion since I don't owe any ram sticks from them. If we were comparing them by raw performance / size, then I would take the 32gb as well.

Okay sounds good. I've seen reviews on newegg about people really enjoying their experience with oloy sticks. I believe they have sk hynix ram chips.

  8. So I'm getting pretty close to actually being able to purchase parts to build a computer, and saw that a 16gb kit of g.skill neo is $135 at 3600mhz cl16, but then I saw a 32gb kit of oloy warhawk rgb memory is about the same price, just at 3200mhz cl16 as well. Should I spend the extra like $3 for the extra 16gb's and try to oc the ram, or am I good with the 16gb of ram? I plan on mostly gaming, but I'd like to do stuff like hosting a server for me and a couple a friends as well as rendering.

What is your CPU? As it plays bigger role when talking about high refresh rates. I would suggest to go straight to 1440p, As even at 1080p you will not be getting the 144hz in many titles (not talking about CSGO etc.) and the addition of extra detail and bigger screen will be much more enjoyable

My cpu is going to be a ryzen 7 3700x.

  10. I will be getting an rtx 2070 super soon, yes I know 5700xt aib cards are coming out, but I do not know when those will come out, so this is why I am going nvidia as I am on a tight schedule to get my computer parts, with trump imposing his new tariffs on parts. I'm trying to save some money, and yes I know if you're spending around $540 on your graphics card you should be spending a good chunk of change on your monitor as well, but I do not necessarily care much about the monitor as long as it works. I'm debating whether its worth spending the extra hundred dollars to get a bigger screen 24inch vs 27inch and higher resolution. I have linked 3 monitors below, two of them seem to be similar, just that one has a VA panel rather than a TN. Which one would you recommend?

At this point it should include bracket. Unless you have really bad luck and get over 3 year old unit.

Jeez, those coolers have been out for a while.

  12. I'm going to be building a new PC soon, and I originally was going to get the drp4 or dr4, but then I saw the nh-d15s is slightly cheaper than the drp4 but a little more than the dr4. But then I looked at their warranties and noctua provides a 6 year and be quiet provides a 3 year. That's a no-brainer to go with noctua, so I was wondering if the nh-d15s would work out of the box with the AM4 socket, because it is listed as compatible, but pcpartpicker says it is possible that I could need an adapter to make it work.

the 6xx is narrower in soundstage and not a good imaging as the 58x the 58x is much better for gaming. the he 4xx is a decent music/ gaming can but I would pair it with an Atom or a liquid spark along with a d10. I personally think the he 4xx basically requires one of the $100 amps

okay sounds good, I will probably use the dt990's and use my 439's until they completely die for music.

now I know I basically reccoemnded my personal gear but they really are the best for your use case and needs IMO at that price point.

Okay the dac x6 sounds good, and I will either choose between those two. Do you think the hd 6xx or the hifiman he4xx would be good?

its generally not reccomended to spend more money on the amp/Dac than the drivers or in this case the headphones. what kind of sound are you looking for what kind of music do you listen to? and will you be using this for mostly music or gaming?

I will be mostly gaming, but although I will listen to music through spotify, and something that has a great sound stage for fps games would be great.

  16. Hey! I just got my new mic, and it sounds fantastic, but the headphones I have are dying, and I really don't want to use the direct monitor port on my umc202hd. I've been looking at dt990's and hd 599's or 598's, or hd58x. I come from having sennheiser hd 439s and I want to try something different, like open-back which is why I have been looking at those headphones. I don't want to spend too much money on the whole group, so like maybe $170 max for headphones, and maybe $150 to $200 max. I saw many people run the schiit stack, or now more frequently the jds labs atom with a topping d10/d30, but I don't want to spend too much, as I have about $500 or so, and i'd like to keep some of that money if possible. What would you recommend?

  17. I was looking at buying a monitor under $300, and found this one. I saw some videos on how stretched 1080p on a screen this big wouldn't be a good idea, but my cousin has a monitor with a similar res and screen size, and it looks fine. I'm particularly looking for something like an ultrawide because I don't want to have to buy another monitor soon due to not having enough screen real estate.

60hz? I saw that it can go to 75hz, which is fine for me.
