If your at 1080p those cards overkill imo. Don't know about rtx and lynix but personally rtx don't excite me at least current gen. Really most of the scenes i've seen comparing rtx vs non i liked the image from the non better:/ I'd consider a 5700xt unless you can score a good deal on a used 1080ti. Saw some used 1080ti for < 500 us$ on ebay recently.

You have sticks at different ram speeds? If that's the case it's my understanding that the faster ram will downgrade to match the slower rams speed. A chain only as strong as it's weakest link and all that.

I have a similar setup. After much research i went with the Asus Tuf x570 wifi. Seems the best bang for buck and all the reviews i saw were positive. It's not a tot tier board but more upper middle tier

I believe the 970 motherboard takes ddr3 ram(i'd double check) so you should be fine.

Cards against humanity, jenga,chess and more hardcore axis and allies. Not actually tabletop but i mentally add fibbage and drawful to that list.
