  1. Peruse your local electronics recycling plants if one exists near you, check out local government buildings like schools and ask about any recycled electronics. If you are lucky you may snag one for free. Good luck!
  2. With this motherboard, you could scoop up a super cheap graphics card like a GT 710 and put it in the lower PCIe slot. Then, if you get back into windows with that, you can try tweaking the 1050 TI
  3. what motherboard do you have? There are less expensive options to try a fix
  4. I still recommend trying to boot into safe mode like I said. Your 1050 ti could still be stable with lower clocks applied. I had an RX 570 that ran for a few years that way, and it didn't even die I just sold it off for cheap.
  5. that's usually how these things go, I hate to say. There is not often a slow decline to the product.
  6. based on the picture, it looks like a vram failure is most likely, sorry to say but this card may be defective. You may be able to launch windows in safe mode, then install a program like MSI afterburner, and significantly underclock the ram
  7. You can only update it, to actually interact with the bios you need a CPU and graphics output
  8. Does the boot behavior in the Inspiron change when only the SSD is installed, and not the hard drive?
  9. I went on PCPartPicker's price history and saw no records for the Vertex GX 1000 or 1200, so this may just not be an item that was ever sold in the US. Consider these https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PJvqqs/seasonic-1000fx-white-1000-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-1000fx-white https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kDvD4D/corsair-rm1000x-shift-1000-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-side-interface-atx-power-supply-cp-9020275-na
  10. Dell optiplex power supplies are generally not bad. You should have no problems with a 1650
  11. the hard drives are only gonna be like 5 watts each. Get an SSD and it's like 3 watts so no issues there.
  12. yes, should be fine. What CPU are you using? Can't imagine it's pulling more than 100 watts.
  13. that's true but the difference may be imperceptible. @Jaw709 do you live in the northern or southern hemisphere? If these are the temps you're getting during warm season, you are probably sitting very pretty.
  14. Nah, you basically said it already that if the CPU is not near throttling, lower temps won't help. Max of 76C is also a pretty nice and low operating temp in general.
  15. I would not use the 1x2400. Ryzen is very sensitive to ram speeds, and a Ryzen 5 1600AF should be accompanied by 2x DDR4 2800 or higher
  16. Yes, I think that would be a fine choice. Do you already have the 1x8GB and 1x16GB? What speed are they?
  17. I agree but I couldn't find the same model in a lower wattage. If you do, and it's cheaper, it's a good choice
  18. This might be the best one in your budget https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-1727169858-fuente-de-poder-cougar-x2-750w-80-bronze-color-negro-_JM#position=5&search_layout=grid&type=item&tracking_id=ac20b368-63c0-43b6-bf01-e1cbae1c2a39 I often use this site as a reference for PSU quality because it's a good comprehensive spot for the info https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ That cougar unit falls in tier C and everything else I can find on Mercado Libre looks like tier F and lower, or too old to be on the tier list. It might be worth it to bump up your budget https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-1422586285-fuente-de-alimentacion-asus-tuf-750w-gaming-bronze-80-plus-_JM?searchVariation=182522475341#searchVariation=182522475341&position=20&search_layout=grid&type=item&tracking_id=fa6783a8-b712-4d71-9ce9-b540c4692ac0
  19. I looked up this teardown video I see one 2.5 inch hard drive slot and one M.2 slot
  20. Did you try putting the graphics card in a different PCIe slot on the motherboard?
  21. Make sure to quote us so we can see your responses @YoungBladeshared a pretty helpful guide, all you need is a USB stick and Gigabyte's copy of the BIOS from their website so I hope that's doable for you
  22. Did you update the BIOS of the motherboard? I would guess the firmware is not up to date for this brand new CPU
  23. Yeah I am thinking you might want to reach out to Corsair support and see about a replacement cable for this power supply. Their customer care is pretty good and they might replace your cables free of charge.
  24. Are you certain that this power cable is original to this power supply? That 8 pin should absolutely go into the PSU.
  25. I've been using a program called OpenRGB recently https://openrgb.org/ But gigabyte has Aorus RGB software that you could use to control the lights as well. Both programs are free so it's your choice. Some gigabyte boards have RGB control in the BIOS but I think it's AORUS motherboards only and the DS3H is one of the lower end gigabyte boards in terms of features.
