  1. Is there a technical drawing for the table top itself? What kind of wood, size of original sheet, etc etc
  2. Yes both go to the NightHawk XR500 from Netgear. I have my main rig hard wired right into the router. I do have a 24 port switch in the network but my computer does not go through it.
  3. Unsure. We were given a config file to import and so thats what I did. 4. Networking Noob question. We have been all sent home to work remotely we are having to use Azure VPN to connect to work. I normally run PIA as my default vpn, since my system has two on board NICs can I marry(?) one VPN to each NIC? The thought is one NIC will handle all my work stuff and the other for my normal home use so I dont have to keep swapping VPNs. Not sure if this is possible but the hardware in use is: Mobo: Asus Prime X-299 Deluxe and the router: Netgear Nighthawk XR500. I would like to hard wire it vs going WiFi. I have a very basic understanding of subnetting (not sure if that will be required) but havent done it in years and never done it with a VPN softwear.
  5. Really only need the one stream. Used to needing same size drives for not wasting larger drives when your smallest is 4tb. That wont matter with Unraid will it?
  6. Been looking at building a plex server so I can off load it from the NAS drive (Seagate Black Armor 4 bay) which does alright for home use, not so well for streaming remotely. Was out walking last fall and came across a garage sale and found an old server from a bar that closed for $5. Life got turned upside down and I am just getting back to the project. Managed to use MRI to get around the OS password and install CPUID. I think I got a nice little score with this thing. Specs: CPU: Intel Xeon X3220 @2.40Ghz Mainboard: Intel Corp S3210SH RAM: 4x Kingston 2gb DDR2 PC2-6400 8704ELP LSI Logic Raid 4-Port 3Gb/s SAS PCI Express Controller I know I am going to transplant the system out of the mid tower case and into a rack mount case that will allow storage expansion (in the end 12 4tb drives). Raid cards are not something I am familiar with. Should I look at a new SAS card (if so thoughts on brand) that has 2 ports vs this ones single port or should I try and hunt down another one of these cards? I think I'm going with Unraid for the OS. Not sure if I can toss in a Quadro p700 or p1000 for transcoding. Thoughts? Am I barking up the wrong tree with this hardware? Any guidance or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. Long time watcher first time poster. Thought I'd just passing along this information along I got from Lastpass today in my email: On Thursday, Under Armour Inc. announced that 150 million accounts from it’s subsidiary, MyFitnessPal, were compromised. The breach included user names, email addresses, and hashed passwords. (Hashing is a mathematical function that converts an original string of data into a seemingly random string of characters.) Driver’s license numbers and payment cards were not comprised. Under Armour has created a Frequently Asked Questions page to help consumers understand what happened. They cover more of the details at https://content.myfitnesspal.com/security-information/notice.html along with a follow up link at the end of FAQs.
