No display signal after starting 3D application

Still no luck after updating the vbios or motherboard bios. I really appreciate the help though, I’ll reach out to EVGA to see what they say. -
No display signal after starting 3D application
matterlord1 replied to matterlord1's topic in Troubleshooting
That is a possibility, though wouldn’t the vbios still be corrupted when it’s running in Linux? The card has a waterblock on it so doing an RMA is technically a possibility but something I would very much so like to avoid. -
Specs: Ryzen 9 5900x RTX 3080 XC3 64GB DDR4 3600mhz Asus X470 Strix Corsair AX1000i WD SN750 2TB CPU and CPU are on a custom loop with a 280mm and a 420mm rad. To preface, I’ve had this system up and gaming for the past year with no real issues until about 2 months ago. When the print nightmare update was release my system would not install it for some reason, it went about 3 months without a windows update. Once the system updated to the latest windows patch I was no longer able to open any 3D application without the system losing all display signal almost immediately. Sometimes it will hard freeze requiring a hard reboot but other times it will continue playing audio. Looking at windows event manager it doesn’t give any events besides a power loss from the hard reset. Troubleshooting Steps: 1. DDU’d current Nvidia drivers and reinstalled latest. 2. Installed various versions of the GPU driver to include studio drivers, game ready drivers, older drivers that are reportedly more stable (472) 3. Reverting windows update 4. Nuking windows and reinstalling 5. Upgrading to windows 11 6. Resetting GPU driver with win+ctrl+shift+B The applications that I’ve been using to test is Metro: Last Light, Furmark, rocket league. Temps are max in the low 70s. In my experience this points towards a hardware failure but as a last ditch effort I installed Ubuntu and I while I’m not the most well versed in Linux I wanted to give it a shot. While in Linux I was able to run GPUTEST, rocket league, and metro exodus. I could potentially try to revert back to windows 7 but I’d rather not if I can help it. I would really appreciate any help as I’m thoroughly stumped.

Computer randomly shut off while playing titanfall
matterlord1 replied to matterlord1's topic in Troubleshooting
So, Update, I tried the other psu and just connected the 24pin and the 8pin, turned the thing on and the rear fan turned on! My h100i fans didnt because its plugged into a SATA power cable that I didn't remove. After which i proceeded to check all the cables all of whih were fine. I think I'm going to have to call in the warranty on this PSU. Has anyone ITT called in a warranty on a power supply? Do you have to just send the unit and not the cables? And how long did the process take? -

The computer won't turn on. At all. -
So I was just playing titanfall when suddenly out of nowhere it just shuts off! When I went to see what the problem was I saw nothing visually wrong so I went to go turn it back on and nothing, no fans, no light, and no sounds. I checked the socket, the breaker, power strip, and still nothing. There are no lights on the motherboard whatsoever that come on, and there was no smoke or anything of the nature. All of the parts besides the GPU and hard drive are less than 6 months old so I can still use the warranty. Thank you in advance for any and all assistance or input. Specs should be in signature.

The standalone is still fun although there isn't much to do in there yet. I could never get the mod to work for some reason so i never got a chance to play that way.
