  1. Hey guys, lately I've been experiencing a strange edge lighting issue on my 32" 1440p 60hz Viewsonic Monitor. When I first turn on my computer a good 1/3 of the screen is tinted green. Then when I go to reinstall my graphics drivers it either fixes the issue completely or it changes the green tinting to only being around the edge of the screen, however then when I leave it the green changes into a pinkish tinge before completely disappearing. Based on research I've done into the issue it appears that the green edge lighting can be a sign of monitor death but as in my case it's revertible, am I experiencing the same issue and it is just more mild, or is this more likely a weird software issue? Also for some extra context I've had tolerable BLB since day one, it is about 2 years old and the model is the Viewsonic Ultra-Slim VX3276
  2. Thanks heaps, was worried I might have to replace a GPU while saving up to go overseas.
  3. Hey I was recently playing an intensive game (Witcher 3) at 1440P on my overclocked 1070ti. And noticed that my monitor completely lost signal after a few seconds of gameplay while audio continued to play. This happened each time I tried to play it. I also tested on Jedi: Fallen Order and the issue repeated. The only way to get signal back was a complete restart. Temperature was around 80C at approximately 90% utilization. I have since downclocked the GPU back to stock and that has seemed to fix the issue, not sure for how long though. But as it has been working fine for almost a year and a half without any issues and then suddenly got the black screen today, should I begin to start looking at a new GPU? Or are there other steps I can take to lengthen the life span of the card. 4. Hey I have an Acer Aspire 5 (A515-51G-53CB) with a 1 TB Hard Drive accelerated by 16 GB of Intel Optane. I'm looking at upgrading to an SSD but as I don't want to replace the hard drive. Can I replace the Optane with an M.2 drive, and if I can does it have to be a specific key and would I be able to get a NVME drive or be restricted to SATA.
  5. Just got a new monitor (View Sonic VX3276-2K-MHD) and noticed some significant backlight bleed when the screen is dark. Should I RMA this or as it is only properly noticeable when the screen is dark should I just learn to ignore it. Also note it looks a bit worse in the photo than in real life.
  6. Hey guys I'm currently trying to toss up between two different monitors for 1440p 32-inch monitors on a budget. In my market (New Zealand) the two best offers I'm finding is the View Sonic VX3276-2K-MHD or the Acer EB321HQU which is $40 cheaper. And while on paper both these monitors look decent and relatively similar, I'm just wondering if there are any differences in panel quality or if there is anything else I should be aware of and if the View Sonic is worth the price jump. Primary use will be thesis research (Speadsheets, word docs, GIS) with some gaming.
  7. Hey guys I am currently looking at upgrading my case from the Phanteks P300 to one with better airflow. I am currently looking at the Fractal Design Meshify C, but am also wondering if there are other cases in a similar price category out there with similar quality and airflow conditions. I also don't mind going for a more premium case if the quality is good enough.
  8. Hey, I recently purchased a 250 GB Samsung 970 Evo for my new boot drive + important programs. As my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming 3) doesn't have a M.2 heatsink. Should I get one, or is not necessary?
  9. Hey, I have some money for upgrading my pc. Would I be better off upgrading to an X370 motherboard such as the Asus Prime X370-Pro or maybe get a case with better airflow instead to improve cooling? The primary use is gaming and I am considering overclocking in the near future.
