  1. Ive done all of this. Posted my CPU temps as well lower in the thread.
  2. I see my CPU is below the base clock all though the thermals are good. why??
  3. thanks for the tips but I've already gone through steps 1 and 3. I'll try step 2 now but I have 664 of 918GB free.
  4. No I have not installed any new software. And yes the game is on a hdd. It always has been and performed fine up until recently
  5. Frames dip even when playing GTA story mode and For honor as well. Is there any way to fix this though. Im fairly certain that thermals are not the issue
  6. haven't checked those, but they seem about the same as when I got the laptop. doesn't feel noticeably hotter under load
  7. I got a dell 7567 just about 2 weeks ago. Everything was running smooth until about 3 days ago. Even when plugged in my frames dip and games stutter about every 10 seconds. I play mostly GTA V, Fortnite and For honor. I also get a HUGE amount of pop in when playing GTA 5, the VRAM usage is still the same 2GB as it was when I first installed and played GTA I've kept the same graphics settings since I got the laptop but now I'm noticing worse frames even when plugged in. This is super annoying, any ways to fix? I've tried trouble shooting and I have latest graphics drivers as well as the latest windows updates and BIOS installed. PLEASE HELP!! Specs: i5 7300HQ 8GM RAM GTX 1050 4GB 1TB HDD
  8. Finally got a new gaming laptop and im looking to get some Bluetooth headphones primarily for music listening and some gaming on the side. My budget is a $100 and i found 2 headphones. The Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT and the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless. I was wondering which you guys think is better for music and has better build quality. (im also open to any other suggestions at a $100) (they have to be over ear as well)
  9. the TN panel models do not exist anymore. Most of the ones being sold are all IPS I bought one a few days ago; its an IPS and its quite good for the price
  10. i'd go with the Dell inspiron 15 7567. its got good quality and good specs for what its worth. I suggest you buy the 1050Ti model with 256GB SSD and then get a HDD of your own later. The only con is that the lid of the laptop is made of a material that catches onto oil from your fingers very, very easily.
  11. Check out the Dell inspiron 2 in 1 (I5379-7923GRY-PUS) <-- Model Number
  12. i believe the base clock for this particular CPU is 2.5GHz. Meaning it will remain at that clock speed or slightly lower when using it regularly eg browsing or typing a document. It will however turbo up to 3.1GHz when its working on a heaver load eg. a video game. Its nothing to worry about. Just measures to prolong battery life by keeping the CPUs power consumption low when it doesn't need the extra juice. hope this helps
  13. i assumed the servers would have been shut down by now
  14. for that price range i think your best bet is a Dell G7 15.6" i7 8750H GTX 1060 MAX Q Solid Build quality The only disadvantage is that it comes with 8GB RAM
  15. try the Asus GU501GM. goes for $1400 but you can get it during sales for $1300 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-gu501gm-15-6-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hybrid-drive-128gb-ssd-brushed-black/6207900.p?skuId=6207900
  16. its going to be hard to find a laptop that has 4 hours on screen and can play games at 1080@60
  17. its on sale right now for $1400 instead of $1500 so act now if you do plan on purchasing
  18. i think 6 pounds for a laptop with these beefy specs is actually quite impressive. In my opinion a sleeve will be just fine but the charging brick will have to be in a bag
  19. You get 16GB RAM standard as well as a 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, 6GB 1060 and 8th gen i7. 120hz display, no G-sync or V-sync. 0.7 inch thick Hours you're looking at about 3 hours with regular usage (browsing with reduced brightness)
  20. Asus GU501GM. Great specs. only disadvantage is that it kicks out quite a bit of heat when under load and the battery life isn't the greatest in the world.
