I need to run cable a across a church sanctuary ceiling (25'-30)'. Preferably without using staging. Dropping through the ceiling is not an option. Do they make extension polls you can use to attach adhesive cable clips? Other ideas?

There is a network switch about 35 feet from the projector. would it work better just to connect it to that? I have never used a network projector.

Hello everyone, I have a ceiling mounted projector in a large gathering room. We have a dedicated Audio/Video booth at the back of the room. The projector currently is connected via an old S-Video cable, through an S-Video to VGA connector, to the laptop. I would like to upgrade this cable to HDMI. The run is about 80-100 feet. What would be the best way to get the HDMI run? Will I need boosters? Is there a better way than HDMI? Thank you for the help!

Hmmm, as I understood it, more cores is always better for rendering. Even if the programs I listed don't render on CPU, others in the future might.

She is using GPU rendering for VRay.

My girlfriend is in architecture school at RPI and is finding that her school provided XPX laptop (i7 - 1050) isn't really as efficient as she would like for rendering. I am also in need of a new workstation. We are thinking we could build a new one with the power shes going to need and we can split the cost. I've put together a hardware list that I think will be adequate for what she needs. Software she is running is VRay, Rhino, Auto-CAD, Adobe CC products and Photoshop. The GTX 980ti I have selected is in my current PC and we would just swap it over to the new system. Will the 980ti be good enough for now or should we not even consider it? What monitor setup should we go with? Dual 4K 27"s or a 4K ultra-wide?
