  1. I'm hoping 2 gtx 660 ti's will appear at my door, even though I haven't bought them yet... There's always hope!
  2. I would love a 4K or 8K computer monitor! I would need to virtually split it though, I'm not sure having all those pixels just for firefox would be overly productive!
  3. Intel do have 8 cores in some of their Xeon's, but you can't OC them :(
  4. I buy all of my hardware from Novatech, they have great prices and great support (if needed)!
  5. But where are the 4k tv's to go with it? (for a sensible price)
  6. Set it up on my home server, its not overly powerful, but it can help :)
  7. What genre's of music are you guys into? I personally like some metal, especially power metal! My current playlist includes: DragonForce Scar Symmetry Nightwish What have you been listening to recently?
  8. **envy** I just love the British knife laws :(
  9. I use http://www.gfi.com/pages/backup-freeware.asp to do backups and folder syncing, and it can be very advanced if you want it to! However it only has ZIP compression.
  10. I've been wanting to make a media pc in a prodigy for what seems like ever! So much customisability in such a small area. If only I had the need and money for a media pc.
  11. I think that tops the list of PC building error stories!
  12. It's extremely counter-intuitive on Sony's behalf, it annoys the community and makes them more money. Hopefully this will make more console gamers turn to PC!
  13. I have never used one myself, but there is a product called a Pogoplug, which accepts a USB and Ethernet as inputs, which effectively does the same thing as your BT router.
  14. I got given the nickname at school of Martyni because another spelling of my name is Martin (I spell it as Martyn), and you put an i on the end, and get a drink. I then created a long lost project of mine Martyni Productions, which I then shortened to MartyniP for IRC.
  15. SP120 dual pack, and some obscure batteries which my recently purchased torches take (14500 and 18650) from Hong Kong, which have taken 3 week so far.
  16. Crysis 3 Battlefield 4 Watch Dogs ARMA 3! (I know but...)
  17. I have only ever really played PC games, and sadly most of my offline friends use ps3 and xbox, and argue over which is better, and they never take into account my opinion. I think there is a much wider spectrum of games on PC, you can see that just by looking on Steam. From the FPS market to indie games, and even down to the emulation of old school console games. You can't get this sort of variety on consoles.
  18. I have recently been looking at the 660 ti and it is a very nice card. I found on PassMark that the G3D / Price scores for the 650 ti were higher than the 660 ti, but not by miles. However, the benchmark score for the 650 ti isn't overly good in comparison to most cards. I personally would go for the 660 ti, especially as my current 560 ti is still doing strong. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
  19. I've been using my 560ti's for a while, and they do me fine for all the games I've thrown at it. The problem with technology is you can wait for the next generation for the rest of your life, as the next generation will probably be better and faster. So I personally would just go with the current generation, as it will probably still be able to run anything you put at it for a long time.
  20. I have bought almost all of my parts from Novatech, and I have even found them to be cheaper than other sites like amazon on occasion. Also being close to a store where I live is also a nice. They also have very good support from when I've dealt with them.
