  1. I did know that part too Anyways I love you are and you are an amazing human being and I hope to know as much as you But back to the topic at hand! I do appreciate your help! Thank you for trying! just try coming off a little more lax next time
  2. passive aggresive as I felt like I was being treated like a noob...But I'm infact a noob Grade 2, I know my basics lol I do already have my HDMI running to the GPU, would this prohibit the rest of the mobo IO from working?
  3. They don't, only when I plug into the Audio Ports on the top of the case will it show that those are in fact connected, but when I plug into the IO, nothing...
  4. yes, All intel CPU's have integrated Graphics, you have an I7, you should know this. I didn't set anything to default. Yes. Only an idiot wouldnt be able to read,"Line in", "Line Out" ,"Mic"
  5. Hey guys, I've recently purchased a pre-built HP Omen 870-224 gaming PC. The PC is awesome, Intel I5-7400, an ok Odense2-k MOBO, GTX 1060 3GB, 8gb DDR4 2133, and a 450 wtt psu. I have aceess to two usb ports as well as a mic and headphone jack on the top of the case. besides the Graphics cards, the MOBO IO includes multiple USB ports (that work), however, the HDMI ports on the MOBO as well as the audio in/audio out as well as the microphone jack don't appear to be working?? Is there some set up I need to do for this or do I have some bunk ports?
  6. tell me about it....Thats why I'm sticking with 2x8 gb, and I've heard Ryzen CPU's only love 3000 types so I said screw it if I'm paying that much then I might as well get some RGB! I'll eventually switch my 1060 then to a 1080 ti, when money falls from the sky
  7. good to know then haha my bad here you go guys! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VnwnQZ
  8. Hey guys, I'm going to be upgrading most of my pc however I'm keeping my current GPU which is a GTX 1060 3gb. This is going to be the system after all parts upgraded https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ I'm already running 1tb WD Blue Hard Drive as well that will be kept with this new pc. My question though is if I were to run this system would my gtx 1060 3gb still run perfectly with no bottle necking? If I were to OC my cpu would this also cause any bottle necking? And while I have all youre attention, would running an sli with another 1060 improve my gaming performance without having to purchase a thousand dollar 1080ti? I do know if I did SLI I would need a different mobo Thanks for any feedback!
  9. Bump, or as CDProject Red likes to do, *BEEP
  10. the current psu is a 450wtt 80+ Bronze
  11. Thank you for all the info guys I really do appreciate it as I'm still learning everything! But reading your comments and trying nooooot to go over budget too much, I've revamped my list and heres what it now looks like https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ Yes...I chose the rgb memory....
  12. Definitely will do then! My total budget is $800
  13. So after owning my pre-built gaming pc, it just isn't enough.... I want to build my own by hand!! I'm going to keep the current pc however and probably use it as parts for this next build. It's current components are: -Intel I5-7400 -Odense2-k MOBO -8 gb DDR4 2133 memory (some small market one I'm sure -1tb WD Hardrive -NVIDIA GTX 1060 3gb GPU -450wtt PSU Pretty great pc and I have no complaints, especially for the price I bought it at! ($819 before tax) Streaming whiling gaming is no problem at all but trying to run music or any other background program does start giving me fps spikes, nothing to bad, but I just want to build a beast of a machine!! I will be just buying 1 part per month more than likely as I am no millionaire, yet. Below I'll post what I'm wanting to use for my build, if I put a (+), that means I'm adding to what I currently am running The Dream Build CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x with included GPU Cooler (yaaaaayy overclockable) MOBO: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (I chose this one mainly cuzz it looks sexy as f*ck...) MEMORY: Adding a G.Skill Aegis 8gb on top of my current 8gb giving me a total of 16gb of 2133 memory, will inevitably be adding 2 other sticks for a total of 32gb DDR4 STORAGE: I'm going to be using the current 1tb WD Hardrive but adding a Kingston A400 120 GB SSD GPU:Still going to be using the GTX 1060, one day I'll swap it out for a 1080ti, when the prices come down a bit...if they ever do PSU: will my 450wtt still run al this fine? Or should I consider getting a 500 or 550wtt? So what do you guys think?! PC Part Picker reports no compatibility issues for this build but if you guys think there would be any at all please leave a message down below Why am I switching from intel to Ryzen? I've read many posts and watched many videos displaying that the Ryzen 7 is phenomenal for multitasking especially for gaming and streaming. I'm paying more for the 1700x ,however, compared to my current i5, it's overclockable!!! And comes with an RGB GPU cooler, cuzz who doesn't like rgb?
  14. A coax cable does run into my room which the router downstairs runs off of coax as well, Would this be best current bet then? so it would be terrible to game and stream then?
  15. What software would I want to use to do this and whats a good program to monitor the gpu at that point?
  16. Damn i was afraid so, it isn't necessary for me to OC with what I currently do....but I feel myself transitioning form a "pc owner" to a "I need to get the best performance with what I have and what I will have " person...what do they call that? an enthusiast? Yea I'm definitely becoming an enthusiast haha
  17. I've bought myself an HP Omen 870-224 that comes with an I5-7400, a gtx 1060 3GB, and an Odense2-K mobo. Is it possible to overclock either the GPU or the CPU on this MOBO?
  18. I'm sorry I do not understand this part. There currently is no router upstairs, only the single one downstairs.
  19. Will this switch kill off the other router while I have it active?
  20. What would you suggest? I'm open to any feed back! I do have the FIOS modem directly underneath me in the garage with an ethernet port, would it be safe to plug straight into that? I do have other people in the house with xbox's and ps4's however if this will take away from their connection...
  21. Hey guys, So currently my router is not only downstairs from my pc, but on the complete opposite end of the house. The landlord doesn't wan't an ethernet cable running the stairs...totally understandable. I'm gaming while also streaming the game to Twitch and I need someone way to improve my internet connection. That's when I found the Powerline Adapters. I want to get one and test it out. Which one however would provide the best connection for not only gaming but also streaming at the same time. But this is a 3 fold question (nothing is ever easy) 1. I've read that using a powerline adapter completely takes over any adapter, but there are some that don't, i would need one that doesn't take over the entire wall outlet. 2. I've also read that both Powerline Adapters need to be running on thew same circuit, How can I test which circuits are connected. For instance, a downstairs living room and and upstairs room (complete opposite side of the house) 3. What is the major difference between the Powerline Adapters and the DLink Adapters? I'm not looking to spend more than $100 unfortunately...yet! Any and all information would be very beneficial and greatly appreciated!
  22. It probably is but I want the i7-8700k for heavy multitasking such as streaming those games as well as audio production. I would as well inevitably upgrade to a gtx 1080
  23. what kind of wattage would I want to look at thenfor a power supply for this current set up?
  24. Running the Z370 and the Dark Rock Pro 3 along with my gtx 1060, would i want a mid atx tower or full tower?
  25. awesome thank you yes I have heard this, would it be safer to just water cool?
