  1. I am going to finally sell my laptop soon, and I want to buy a new PC right now. This is what I got so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TvyMmG (I have marked the stuff I have already purchased - mainly the 250gb samsung SSD) 1. Budget & Location I will be buying in Austria, and I can spend up to 900€ with shipping and everything included, but I would like if the budget doesn't go over 850€. The site I will be using to purchase all my parts is: http://www.mylemon.at/ 2. Aim I basically won't do any work on my PC, just a little video editing now and then, but 99% of the time I will be using it just for browsing and watching movies and playing games of course. I guess I will play: Diablo 3, Bethesda RPGs (TES and Fallout series), Mass effect and a lot of other games that came out since 2012 (which I wasn't able to play), and I plan to play a lot of the upcoming titles, so a good graphics card is a must, and I am already settled for the GTX 970. 3. Monitors I have a 27 inch 1080p. This one. I don't plan on upgrading to anything better or buying an additional monitor anytime soon. 4. Peripherals Nope, I have everything I need when it comes to peripherals, and I'll just be using the Windows I already have. 5. Why are you upgrading? Because my laptop is not good enough for gaming, and it gets very warm. I don't need a laptop anymore, and I would love to play some games on a good gaming rig. Just a few notes: I have already bought an SSD that has 250gb, and I don't need an HDD right now, 250gb is enough for me at the moment, and I have a portable HDD of 500gb that has USB 3.0, so storage really isn't an issue. And my mind is already set on the define r4 (because of the silence it provides and I really like the quality) and I don't want to downgrade to an mATX motherboard. And I also don't want the i5-4690K, because I definitely don't feel the need to overclock anything and the i5-4460 seems fine. Also, if there is anyone from Austria/Germany here and sees this, could you tell me should I wait for the black Friday sale or the cyber monday sale, I'm not sure which sites give discounts (it's not like the US).
  2. Nice builds, you guys seemed to cut my budget a lot, thanks! I think I will got with that, but with an i5-4570. Thanks!
  3. Ok, so I made a post a couple of months ago, but due to financial problems, I couldn't build my PC until now. I need help with the components again. 1. Budget & Location I am buying in Austria, and my budget is 700€. 2. Aim The system will be used for browsing, watching youtube/movies and gaming. I would like to play the new games which I wasn't able to play, and the upcoming AAA titles. So I think I would have to go with a GTX770 or an r9-280x. 3. Monitors I have just bought a Samsung SyncMaster T27B300. It's a 27 inch 1080p monitor, and I'll be using that for my PC. 4. Peripherals No need for peripherals, and I will be using my copy of windows 8 that I already own from my laptop. 5. Why are you upgrading? Because I can't game on a laptop, and I want to enjoy good graphics and PC gaming, and the faster processing and less heat issues that come with owning a desktop. ----- I will be buying from amazon.de (amazon.at), but if anyone from Germany/Austria knows a store where I can buy from, please feel free to recommend. I also don't need a DVD burner/reader, because I never use that. And I already own a Samsung 840 EVO 250gb, and at the moment I don't need any more storage, so I'll be using that. I had this in mind: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/3cRfu If anyone can bring the price down, but keep the performance, thanks!
  4. Thanks for the tips, guys, I'll try formating everything now, because I plan on selling next week. I think I will have to download the Windows 8 iso again and put it on a USB, and try it again that way, because I think i can get extra money if I sell with an OS pre-installed. Thanks agan!
  5. I am trying to sell my laptop and I have an SSD in it that I want to put in the new PC that I will be buying. I would be selling the laptop with 2 HDDs (500gb + 600gb), and I want to delete all my data from them. I have an original copy of Windows 8 (Windows 8.1), and I've downloaded the .iso for it and created a bootable USB stick, but I can't seem to boot from it. Does anyone know any other way I can delete the data from my HDDs? Also, if I sell the laptop with a fresh install of Windows 8, will I be able to reuse my CD-key, or would I have to buy a new version?
  6. Thanks, but I can't deposit money through paypal using btc-e. Only with OK pay. Any other site I should look for?
  7. I want to buy low and sell high, just like the guy you helped in the thread. But I am from Europe. Austria, to be more precise. Does the same procedure work for me to? Really? How come?
  8. Sell the monitors and get a 1440p 27 inch display
  9. I don't plan on mining, but it's a good thread, thanks! Any more tips or tutorials I should look at? Localbitcoin seems preety good. Should I buy with paypal, or cash?
  10. Can someone please explain to me how does one set up a bitcoin account (I am not sure if account is the proper term) and how does one buy bitcoin in Europe? I am a complete noob, and I'm sorry in advance for opening stupid threads like this on this forum.
  11. I thought I was late to the boat. Oh well, I guess I won't be getting rich just by pure luck.
  12. Can someone also explain how do you actually make money using cryptocurrency? Do you mine and then sell? Where do you sell the cryptocurrency? Can you open a bitcoin wallet for people to give bitcoin to you, without actually mining or anything?
  13. If I don't sell my laptop, then around 600-800 euros. If I do sell my laptop then 350 to 400 euros more than that. I would be buying in Austria/Germany..
