  1. i would not sell the 55-200mm, because it is a different type of lens. you may want to use it when you heed the reach of a 200mm. i would save up for the 50mm. for landscapes you can use a tele lens. i do that occasionally. look at this video how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zresAM2eXs
  2. in adobe premiere it is called color key. you select The color of you green screen with the drip tool. play around with the tolerance, edge thin, and edge feather and you can get a good result. this is found in the effects tab -> keying -> color key. But in after effects you can get more control of what you remove in the frame. but this is a good way to start and play around whit a green screen.
  3. i would say: go for it. the benefit of this wide angle is you still have a filter tread. so you can use a polarize filter or nd filters with ease.
  4. it all depends on your budget. you cant go wrong with a 70-200 mm F/2.8 to F/4 is just one stop of light less. what you could do is invest in some video lights. a lighting setup will have more impact on your video that just changing the lens. or you could try out different lenses before you buy a new one or a used one. websites like http://borrowlenses.com you can rent the lenses and also lighting.
  5. adobe has a preset that will do just the perfect settings for you tube.
  6. The second hand market has some great dslr`s availeble. as said by alwin. if you look good on ebay you can find for 200-300 dollars a nikon d300. these camera`s are still being used by a lot of professional photographers because these wont break down. and whit this body you can used the lenses without build in autofocus motors. so you can save a few penny`s on lenses.
  7. You may want to look into the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM. it is a constant aperture zoom lens so you wont lose light. and you have a evective focal length of 24-75mm. wich will be great for video. and you have image stabalisation. only it is 100 bucks more expansive than your budget. but maby if you look on the second hand market you can find a deal.
  8. awesome. i never tried the blender software but i am curious what you can do.
  9. as a practise of making human models in 3ds max. i have found its not for me. i should just keep it with products and environments. but i hope the people whom saw the screenshots i made think they were funny and had a good laugh.
  10. Day 8 i added a simple body for linus. now maby he got a new name: bobble clown linus head. and he is in a running position. also pumped up the purple in the cape.
  11. the same cape as he used in the latest wan show could be awesome
  12. day 6: i totaly screwed up with the uv unwarp. linus looks now like a clown. drawing in photoshop is harder than i expected (used to autodesk sketchbook).
  13. Day 5: today i made the uv maps to create the bitmap of linus`s his head. next step is to recreate the colours and facial hair on the bitmap file. this is probebly harder than creating the 3d model.
