  1. I have researched the motherboards' QVL and seen the memory you have chosen to be compatible. Have you ran MEMtest 86+?
  2. After further review of the total motherboard it shows that there isn't a second slot for you to try. It looks like all the slots' controller is damaged either way. I'll pay respects to your motherboard. F. Sadly the only other options are to use the APU graphics or obtain another Motherboard.
  3. Have you tried to use a different pcie slot? it seems as though the controller is missing a couple of resisters or whatever those miniature rectangular objects are.
  4. Found the solution! Updated the BIOS and now it acts like normal. Tried a few settings you suggested too. Now it acts in the manner suggested by the spec sheet woo!
  5. I was hoping to get this over 3.3Ghz Seems a bit low regarding the spec sheet. I was hoping to see most of what it's spread said it could do, between 3.4-4.5 GHZ. But it is what it is I guess. Thank you for teaching me the location of the cache chips!
  6. Docp enabled from the start. I will begin with an offset of 15 and massage the setting from there. Also, I'll try disabling TSME since I'm not using any virtualization. Thank you for your insight into the X3D chips, I hadn't taken that into account!
  7. I recently "upgraded" my motherboard from an Asus Tuf Gaming B550M wifi plus, because I had an extended 4 year warranty from Amazon I added a few dollars and purchased my new board. I wasn't much of a BIOS nerd and now need to be to really unlock the processors' potential. I have plenty of air cooling to handle the heat. Noctua fans all over, beginning with the CPU cooler NH-D15S with push pull config for quietness. AND 2 blowiematron noctua fans to pump cool air in and out of the case respectively. SO, I have plenty of air cooling capability! I am asking the longbeards, the wise ones, to assist me with the BIOS version/settings suitable for my current mission!
  8. So not as a general application accelerator for folding or games eh?
  9. I had a theory that it was a sorta math co- processor silly me

  12. I have had great thermals with this cooler. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835670001&cm_re=cpu_cooler-_-35-670-001-_-Product It's a different type of air cooler. typically my overclocked amd a10 7700k at 3.8 ghz didn't see over 60C very often. It's worth a look...
  13. Depending on how hard that cpu was used it may also be near the end of life, if you have to hold onto it for a year at most, use a aio water cooler on it that would fit it and the new cpu/build later. The least you could do is keep it cool enough to slow wearing it down to a halt till the next one!
  14. Convert a Hackintosh! Throw salt back!
