  1. yeah i would say we have 2 desktops, an xbox, 1 laptop, and 2-4 phones depending on if i keep my wifi on for my phone.
  2. So the problem started way back when my family started upgrading the internet. the main office which is on the opposite side of the house from my room holds the router where a few laptops and computers are connected through ethernet. Because the router is far away we have a ethernet cable connected to a wifi extender which connects to another extender in my room. That extender really helps because without it i basically get no wifi. After upgrading our wifi my internet seemed to be getting worse. We upgraded a few times actually even switching internet providers, but the problem is still getting worst. We tried to switch network adapters for my computer but that for whatever reason seemed to make it worst too. My brother, who is in the room next to me, doesn't seem to have too many problems with the wifi, but is computer, xbox, phone, and laptop is all connected to it, while i have to turn off the wifi for my laptop and phone to make it a little better for me. Like I said before, we only upgraded so our internet shouldn't be getting worse. Whenever i play games im always at 100+ ping and on some hours 200+ making the games unplayable. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Im just talking about bad for a gaming laptop. I know they drain really fast but im assuming there are gaming laptops with better or worst battery life
  4. i can't give you an exact because i don't know much about laptops but i have been seeing some at 6ish. I just don't want anything that can be considered bad.
  5. that's a 1050 ti though. i would say there are a few 1050 ti laptops in my price range but very few. a standard 1050 is cheaper than a 1050 ti so we must have just not been on the same page.
  6. i have seen laptops in the $600 range sold by newegg, bestbuy, or amazon with a 1050 in it. I don't know what to say about the touchscreen though but typically you don't see too many "gaming laptops" with a touchscreen so i'm not really expecting anything to come out of it.
  7. So im looking for a laptop but i'm kind of stuck with reviews and specs and stuff. My budget is $880 dollars including tax but might be able to flex it a little bit. I'm looking for a low profile gaming laptop that i can use for school work but also some casual gaming here and there.I would prefer to have a 1050+ and a 1tb hdd is a must but an extra bit of ssd space would be amazing. If you want games that I would probably play on it then I play rocket league, csgo, and maybe some pubg. and i want it around median settings. I have been looking myself but I'm always mixed between a few like some acer laptops like the aspire 7's and the nitro 5 spin. I have seen a few with some pretty good specs but they are laptops that just spell out gaming if you know what i mean. Any help would be appreciated as I do not understand laptops as much as PCs. List of what i want/prefer shortened~~~~ 1.1tb hdd is a must but extra ssd space would be very nice 2.prefer a 1050 gpu or equivalent but would really only go higher 3. a decent battery life so I can focus on the student side of the laptop 4.low profile, nothing that screams out gaming and that i can bring to class or a nice place to do homework or something 5.a touchscreen would be nice but the only laptop I have found close to what i want with a touchscreen is the nitro 5 spin 6.good cooling and don't have to worry about it exploding from the heat 7.generally good reviews because i have seen some nice laptops but the reviews change my mind 8.($700-$900 with tax included) I don't expect the "perfect laptop" within my price range, but as long as it has the basic idea of what i want then i should be good. also if you need anymore information just let me know in the comments.
  8. nah I wouldn't be on the hunt for an amp. I have read from somewhere else that an Amp would be basically useless for 38 ohms and he also mentioned how it would be a small difference that I most likely won't from the computer to a phone. Plus either way these headphones are maxing out my budget on what I want to pay
  9. Thanks for the input! I was really worried that there would be a large enough difference that i would notice and wouldn't be able to get them.
  10. So i have been looking to get headphones and I found a pair I like. I mainly want it for watching videos or listening to music on my ipad Air 2 or my Samsung galaxy s8, but I also might use them on my computer as well sometimes. I have 1 problem and that is that im not sure if the headphones will recieve enough power to run well on my phone. I have read some people complaining how it sounds kind of quiet on their phone but they seem to have older models. The impedance is 38 which is cutting it close since i have heard for phone use you typically want around 25 and for nonphone use you want 50+. The head phones are call ATH-WS1100iS. Im not sure if i should settle on these or if I will have to keep looking. Any help will be much appreciated. Here is a link to the headphones- https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-WS1100iS-Over-Ear-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B018UB3HU0/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529015052&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ath+ws1100is
  11. lol I can't blame you, but thanks for the help. I was just hearing that about 25 and under are used for phones and such and 50+ are home systems because of how much power they need and stuff.
  12. sorry can you retype that i'm a little confused on what you said lol
  13. I want to keep away from getting used or refurbished and keep it on amazon as well because I have a few cards for it. Thank you for the suggestion though,
  14. Update- Looking at the ATH-WS1100iS and the Sennheiser 598C. The ATH-WS1100iS looks like the better choice but i'm worried about the 38 ohms with it being used on my phone. Any suggestions?
