I'm looking at getting a gaming laptop to replace my sub-par desktop, but i'm not wanting to wait for months of paychecks to clear to get a beast machine, so I was wondering if a laptop with a GTX 1050 Ti was going to graphically outperform my GTX 1050 i currently have, or if i should spend a bit more on the GTX 1060 version

Having some weird issues with my phone/SIM card. I keep getting a voicemail notification at random times even if i clear the notification. I've also tried calling Voicemail, but the call doesn't go through... Not only that, but after fiddling with it for a bit, I can't even get cell service working on the device. I've tried the SIM on another device and it didn't SEEM to give me the same issues, but when i called voicemail, it didn't go through. Phone: Moto G4 non plus. XT1625 DISCLAIMER THINGY: My phone is pretty significantly bent due to not enough care on my part when pushing heavy objects (using my phone pocket part of my leg as a support to push). It is entirely possible that i just broke my phone....I hope not....and i'd prefer to jump though every hoop until i know for sure.....

I've recently been a huge fan of computers from the 90's, and that's probably because one of my first memories is getting #REKT by my dad in DOOM. I've been looking into building an early pentium machine, but don't yet have the funds. i'm also upgrading my current rig and would love to get one of the old, beige, sheet metal lumps of joy that old cases used to be, but i'm not sure how ATX standard components fit in AT cases. the biggest question is whether or not i'll need to physically modify anything, or if i just need to shop around.

Just bought a Xeon W3530 on Ebay with an accompanying motherboard and cooler. The cooler is so poor that it doesn't cool the CPU in the BIOS.....looks like an LGA 115x cooler, but i don't think it's that stock cooler. any help?

101 on a passively cooled GT 210 playing WoW. I've never had a CPU go over 85 though

I'm getting a Z170 MoBo for upgrade reasons if i get the i3, so not really.

i3 6100 vs Xeon X5650 for streaming games at 720p. I'll be pairing both with 16 GB of memory (2400 MHz for the i3) and a cheap cooler. Both configurations are about $250 USD. Any thoughts?

was gonna pick up a focusrite scarlet and the SM57 with the let's play mic, hence the budget. Funny enough, i was looking into that mic because my fave streamer uses it

Getting into streaming and recording videos, but my DJ Hero mic isn't sensitive enough despite the "okay" audio quality compared to my webcam mic (when using socks as a pop filter) and i was wondering what some good budget options were. I was planning on getting a shure SM57 for recording my guitar, but would that be good for non-singing vocals as well? and the cheaper the better and i'd like to keep it under $150 US. Thanks

I installed Cyanogenmod 11 on my Moto G GPE because the stock rom was more or less bugged to instability. I was going to use CM 12.1 or 13, but they got stuck and i wanted an easy way to get my phone working. It ran well and good up until this morning when i needed to reboot. It then was stuck in a loop of android system UI crashes until i reinstalled CM11 from scratch. Every time i reboot, it does this. Any help?
