  1. Hey people, I just searched a bit more and using your opinions and i came with the following: AMD Athlon II X4 750k (€65,80) MSI FM20A75IA-E53 (€72,90) MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 (€88) BitFenix Prodigy Black (€64,10) Corsair Vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 (€38,99) Corsair Builder CX430 Bronze (€37,98) Hitachi Travelstar Z7K500 (€48,92) Total price: €416,69 (This doesn't include part shipment here in the Netherlands). All the parts can be bought here in the NL so that is a plus. Any thoughts about this?
  2. Seems like a good build. ill keep it for now. Does anyone else have some suggested builds?
  3. Hello, I'm planning on building a Mini ITX build for €500. The PC will be mainly for videos, some rendering, downloading and the occasional gaming like BF3, Crysis Warhead, Supreme Commander. The games are fine for me if played on low to medium so this doesn't need to be all high end. So i just looked around and currently came up with the following build. AMD A10-6800k APU ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB 1600MHz CL10 be quiet! System Power 7 450w Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST1000DM003, 1TB BitFenix Prodigy Black The build price will put me at €435 which seems reasonable. However i'm unsure if this is even the best option. I would like to ask you guys for a better maybe even cheaper option. Intel is fine with me but as long as the price stays below €500. SSD isn't something i need for this PC because my main PC has it all.
  4. Well everything plays still but i'm such a person that when i see other people or a new card comes out and look up the speeds i just have the urge to sell my still new card because of no real reason then having ''The latest and fastest card''. I have a couple of plans but my main thing was to get a all new monitor because hey this one is 3,5 years old and against that i can say ''That needs a upgrade''. And a new keyboard because my G110 died during the weekend because i made it clean with water and soap...yeah soap..buttons didn't even work (lol).
  5. Hey, I have a Sapphire HD7950 Vapor-X and was wondering if it's about time to upgrade it already. When i was going trough my papers i found the purchase paper and it said January 31th 2013 purchased, so lets say it's about 1 year old.
  6. Hello, First of the topic title may sound strange and you might be wondering ''Google it'' well it isn't exaclly like that so let me explain! About 2 weeks ago i split my SSD which had Windows on it trough the middle so i should install Ubuntu on the other part. Everything went well until i removed ubuntu leaving me stuck with Windows unable to boot so i had to re-install EVERYTHING. The reason that this happened was because i just partitioned the Ubuntu and then expanded the Windows volume again trough Disk Management. Well what i would like to ask is how i can prevent any issues like Ubuntu interfering with Windows (Aka: 100% separate) and how exactly can i install Ubuntu on my 320gb Hard Drive? My PC is as followed. I have Windows installed on my 120gb 840 SSD and a 1TB HDD for games, files, storage. I would then like to use my 320gb HDD which isn't in use at all for Ubuntu. I'm no Ubuntu expert but i'm not talking about ''Installing besides Windows'' i think. So well hopefully someone understands my story and can help me out!
  7. The Netherlands isn't in the country list. The only country that is close is germany. For some reason i can't find the i5 4670k however. Am i correct when i say that the 4670k is the i5 version of the i7 4770k?
  8. Hello, First of let me introduce myself. I'm Robert Oortwijn, 19 years old and i'm learning IT in The Netherlands. I have been in love with doing things with a computer like making my own configuration, repairing something and just everything related with it like CPU's, GPU's and more. So here i am with my very first topic on LinusTechTips and bare in mind that what i'm going to ask is a planned upgrade still weeks/months away from finally happening. Let's begin. The very first thing i would like to talk about is monitor. For the past 3 years i have been typing, gaming, viewing on a Samsung Syncmaster 2333T which i bought when i was 16 and till this date has served the purpose. Now i have the feeling that it's time to upgrade after my friend bought a BenQ XL2420T. I got impressed by it and really want to have such monitor. What i would like to ask regarding a monitor is if there are also other BenQ monitors with the same features but maybe a bit cheaper, lets say around the 300 euro mark instead of the 380 euros here in The Netherlands. Secondly and this will be a big one. I want to fully upgrade my PC with a new CPU, Motherboard, GPU and a bit more if it's necessary. I bought my CPU and Motherboard back in 2011 which is a i5 2500k and ASUS P8P67 REV 3.1 which has served well to this date. My GPU was bought at the very beginning of 2013 in Januari which is a Sapphire HD7950 Vapor-X. My main question for the planned overhaul is that i want to try and get the money together to spend more then i usually do. Today i came up with the crazy idea of getting a i5 4670k and the GTX Titan. However the price might be so big for me that it might all change and knowing it will take some time till i have the money it might even be that the CPU won't be the fastest when it's time. So my main question is if you guys can advice me some tips, what is better and so forth. I know for a fact that my GPU is being sold for 200 euros second handed here in the Netherlands and that my CPU and Motherboard still earn about 150 euros. This was my very first topic and i hope that other people around the world can help me out and understand my point of view and situation regarding money. Thank you for reading my topic and hopefully ill get some nice read time ! Greetings, Robert Oortwijn
