Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
LeeJC73 replied to osgalaxy's topic in General Discussion
You mean like the mob culture that’s being displayed here? Cos that’s a pleasant social construct. The crux of my statement was that this nonsense of Linus must throw himself to the mercy of his follower and do as they demand ‘immediately’ like some martyr because ‘my trust is shaken’ What a complete crock. Society can’t get it’s leaders to be accountable, and repeatedly return them to positions of power. Here as there you’re ‘entitled’ to nothing, so get over yourselves. -
Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
LeeJC73 replied to osgalaxy's topic in General Discussion
Every single one of you, myself included is posting into this thread on a device manufactured by a company that has at one time or another done something that I’m damn sure wouldn’t meet your exacting moral standards, or it seems the moral standards of self righteous Steve. I’ve stopped really engaging with videos for either of them. LInus has become more mainstream entertainment, Steve has become more I am the bastion of all knowledge do not question me. Anyone dead…… Thought not. Get a f@#king grip. If you don’t like it vote with your fingers, but get over yourselves in believing that anyone owes you a thing because ‘you supported them’ Grow the hell up. -
I had an MSI GE72 6QF (Apache) the build quality is appalling, don't know if it's improved over the last few years but I wouldn't go near one again. I've not used Lenovo outside of the business environment. Have you considered the HP Omen? Cheers Lee

Some more watercooling questions
LeeJC73 replied to asim1999's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
That's a lot of questions. 1. assuming same fpi/flow restriction and thickness they will perform roughly the same, there are so many variables with rads. As for cooling they'll probably be sufficient for stock (dependant on rad dimensions stated above) although I would suggest a 45mm+ thick rad. 2. Wherever you like as long as in and out are on opposing sides, water has to flow through and if you're connecting to the same chamber you won't push flow through the rad. 3. Don't know the 900D that well but remember it being a monster, just assure the res can provide an uninterrupted water feed to the pump so at a higher point than the pump is ideal. 4. Most GPU blocks flow in one side out the other (there was a 295 block that was in top out bottom) so you will want to cross flow between 4 to avoid missing a GPU. Specific vendor crossfire/sli blocks will do this for you. 5. No they won't fit (misread edit), couldn't open the data sheet but the blade arrangement suggests they'll be "OK" although noctua details them as air flow fans and the static pressure measurement is the more important one for rads. 6. Simple pwm splitter will apply the same voltage to all the fans. If you're using the same fans they will all (within tolerance) spin at the same speed. -
Question about H100i in Define R5 (Front mounting)
LeeJC73 replied to Puddleuk's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Precisely. Fan location won't make a difference to your cooling performance. The R5 is well isolated on the front end but you may notice less noise if you mount them inboard of the rad. -
Question about H100i in Define R5 (Front mounting)
LeeJC73 replied to Puddleuk's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Heat rises. You'll be exhausting the coolest air in your case. Doubt the air from the rad as intake will even get to the h100i. You'll also run at negative pressure so you'll end up with a high probability of dust accumulation. -
Best case for watercooling and help for radiators

I've seen something similar when installing from USB. I unplugged the USB disk and reconnected it for it to detect the USB and destination drive.

xspc Photon 170 (no pump) reservoir mounting help
LeeJC73 replied to adamjlemoine's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Are these genuine questions or are you trolling? If you invert how are you going to insure the feed to the pump? Same problem to a lesser extent with a horizontal mount, can be done but lower output needs to go to pump or the tube res needs to be slightly off the horizontal. -
Just remove as much of the paper as you can and then anything with alcohol in it will soften the glue. I wouldn't heat it the bullet could fall out of the body. Why do people keep calling this a blank? It's inert/drill/pretend. Blanks contain a charge but no bullet (they have a crimped end)..........noobs.

Will i actually get better temps with water cooling ?
LeeJC73 replied to Effenbach's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Is your profile correct are you still running the 300r? What fans do you have installed at the minute? -
Is offset like the arc midi so you'll get an h100\i in no problems. It'll also go in the front no problem, the mounts are slotted and you can move the drive cage towards the PSU. Have a quick look at my custom loop.

I've got an R5. I disconnected the power and HDD LEDs. Won't suffer like the R4 as it's got the midi roof panel.

All cases are silent until you put stuff in them. Bit odd that you want a silent case with a side panel fan mount......... Fractal Arc Midi Corsair carbide 400\500r

This might appear harsh but don't waste your time. For what you're intending to do you'll spend a lot of money and get no improvement over a D14\15 if anything it will be noisier and you'll have increased your maintenance overhead. A single 120\140 in a custom loop with the associated components would be a waste of your money. Buy a case more suitable for water cooling and a top quality air cooler and then start saving.
