  1. I increased my voltage a little bit, still didnt work. And now i have increased my voltage SIGNIFICANTLY and it still will not pass all 8 cores. any other ideas? Or does my particular chip just not like it?
  2. ohhh haha, makes sense. And i was nerding out over this... Is it possible to put an h110 and a h90 in it 0_o. that would be sick.
  3. If you have switch from the 240gb to the 120gb, you may have enough room to step up to an Asus P8-Z77 WS. This board is built specifically for people who use editing and coding applications to help increase overall speed and reliability. The only other thing that you have to realize, is that if you are only using photoshop, your MONITOR may be actually more important than your computer. Photoshop isnt that heavy of a program. When i switched from a 260ti to a 550ti, i couldnt even tell a difference in performance. So you may want to adjust your budget a little.
  4. Since the firmware of 1.0.4 was absolute trash and corsair wouldnt even let you download it, they have been working on it for a LONG time which was really starting to aggrivate me because i had my fans stuck at 1600 rpm and they were making a ton of noise. The new firmware is fantastic! and it is not up on their drivers page yet, but here is a link to their forums page where they released it. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=115836
  5. This is kind of irrelevant... but why do you need two h90's? Why not just one h110?
  6. Hey guys, Today was the first day i have used Prime 95 to run tests on my CPU, and i ran the test for 8 hours. Within the first hour, it said that my Core 6 and Core 8 cores were shut down and not running. I only have a tiny overclock (4.0 ghz) and I am cooling with an H80i, and using corsair link saw that my CPU temps never went above 40 degree Celcius; and i have also run a memory diagnostic and a memory test to ensure that memory is not the problem. Does anybody have any ideas as to why two cores would fail? The error was that they rounded above .40 which i dont even know what that means. Thanks.
  7. you can put two 120's in the front, and also two 120's on the drive cage also pulling in air. In my 1100 right now i have 5 120's, an h80i in push pull, and the 200mm at the top. And it runs VERY cool.
  8. Corsair Neutron GTX ssds are amazing, but i have also had Vertex 4, Intel 330, and a Samsung 840. They are all great drives. The vertex and GTX will give you more speed, and the Intel and Samsung will give you more reliability.
  9. i am not a gamer, so im not TOO worried about the speeds. i am more worried about it just working at all. and thank you, i will try this out and see if it works!
  10. the n600 and the n300 are both netgear routers.
  11. The problem is i want to use what i have, not buy something else. Here is my setup: Modem > N600 > Computer Here is what i want: Modem > N600 > N300 > Computer, Xbox, Laptop is that possible without creating a serious bandwith issue? can i turn the N300 into a switch?
  12. See im not a networking guy, so i have no idea what you just said. This is the first time i have really gotten into anything networking, any chance you guys could walk me through it? Or show me something that will help me out?
  13. $100 USD Music/Video Production 1/8" Jack Closed (completely encasing the ear) Alot of fullness would be great. I dont want one section of the EQ to be more powerful than the others. No Sound Card No Microphone Needed. Thank you!
  14. The Antec 1100 is a FANTASTIC case. GREAT COOLING options, and incredible cable management.
  15. I have to say, I have an MSI GD65 v2 and i absolutely love it. My overclocking was really simple, their support is unbelievable, and they add in alot cool funcitonality in the bios and on there applications disk. Its pretty cheap on NewEgg and it cools VERY well. Im also a fan of its readout LEDs that it has in the top right of the board. This helps when you are trying to focus on the power consumption of the board. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130677 the price will also allow you a little room in your graphics card area if you would like. and you can stick with that 8350
  16. Is it possible? I have a router connected to my modem and then a network cable coming from that into my room to my pc. But i also have a laptop and my xbox in my room. So i was wondering, can i take a router and just basically daisy chain it so that i can run more cables in my room to each of my systems? Thanks
  17. I dont know if you just passed off what i said before, but i wasnt trying to ask if it worked in the USB 2.0 ports. I was saying that keyboards and mice dont typically enjoy USB 3.0 ports. If you have drives plugged into the USB 2.0 ports, take those out of the 2 ports and put them into the USB 3.0 ports and plug your keyboad into the USB 2.0 port. Have you tried doing this to see if in fact is isnt the port itself?
  18. Hi, Try and plug the periphrial into a USB 2.0 port. Alot of the times input devices dont give too fondly to USB 3.0 ports. Not sure why, but thats just how it is.
  19. I use after effects almost more than i do premiere, so i think my best option here is to go with TWO 660tis
  20. I use the full Adobe suite. So, After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop. So basically you are saying that Adobe only uses half your cuda cores on a 660ti so there is really no point in getting a 680 right?
  21. The topic is in the title. Basically, if my main goal of my PC is to edit videos in Adobe, then will SLI help me or should i just buy a card with more cuda cores? Ex. 2 - 660ti's will i get double the Cuda Core usuage? or should i just get a 680? Remember, i dont really care about gaming whatsoever. Thanks
  22. correct me if im wrong. But i believe on the 500R and 300R the spacing is actually off centered on purpose so that the rads will coincide with the spacing neccessary to fit the motherboard. I believe on the 800D it is a big enough gap, but it is still centered. And last i heard the 650D was a TIGHT fit... but it would still work.
  23. Swiftech's new cooler looks freaking awesome, but is it really worth the wait? We all saw the booth at CES.... but i dont know. There is still some part of me that just doesnt feel as though it is going to be worth it. The other part of me really likes that i can use it to make a custom loop once i am ready. What are your guys' thoughts?
  24. @youngmanmatt its not about having two fan mounts next to eachother. its about having the proper spacing between the fan mounts And here is something i have always pondered. On an antec 1100 the drive cages each have a space to mount a 120 mm fan. So (maybe with a tiny bit of modding) could you potentially mount an h100i using those two fan mounts? I think it would look SO clean and simple if so.
