  1. 4.7 ghz on all cores with dr3pro in nzxt s340, my fans have 1000rpm max, ill try 600rpm max to see if i get much higher temps
  2. i know that but 250rpm under load wont be enough, bcat said that he runs 600rpm no matter what which i dont understand how
  3. how in the earth did you manage that? my case fans run at ~800rpm and cpu at ~1300
  4. the sound was so annoying that i just gave up and bought the damn ssd, it shall come tomorrow....cant belive it costed as much as a i7 8700k
  5. the only option that i have is really to maybe buy some longer cables drill a small hole in the case and most likely mount the hdd under my desk in a soundproof box or something? 400$ for a samsung ssd is ridiculous here...
  6. i have the dr3pro and even with the fan on 100% you can barely hear it at all and it cools my i7 8700k easily 60c no problem
  7. omg i just found the problem, its the segata barracuda 3tb hdd, i tried plugging it out from the pc and i swear to god the pc is 0db omg i cant belive it you cannot hear the pc its impossible and then i plugged the hdd back in and now its jet engine so the hdd is the problem not my pc wow i had no idea, so i need to change the hdd and then my pc is literally impossible to hear i cant belive it all this time i had no idea....guys pls help i need to find a new storage device that has 1tb and is fast, my segata is 7200rpm, i was looking to buy a ssd but they cost like 400$ for 1tb and no 100% quiet hdd exists, i have no idea what to buy because 1tb ssd is so expensive
  8. im wearing the hyperx cloud headset right now and i can clearly hear my pc idle, i swear i dont understand how other people can get silent pc's, not the best experience with my first build so far...
  9. 80c is totally fine for 2 maybe 3 years, the clock on the gpu sits at 1964mhz and never gets under, going on water with the gpu isnt really possible so i have to skip that, btw 0 rpm until 60c is the default actually i think it says that on the package too but cant remember exactly, the temps on the gpu dont spike either they either always stay under 70c when playing lighter games or gets stuck at around 77-80 without going higher, if you meant going water on the cpu would the be quiet 240mm silent loop be a good choice? i've heard that water is much cooler but makes more noise, and about the case i dont know why you think it has bad airflow 4 fans seem fine to me and its not too big either but if i were to change it do you have any recommanded ones? (preferably black too)
  10. So a few weeks ago i built this bad boy ( https://imgur.com/a/5ExFy ) i especially tried going for a more silent pc as my previous prebuilt was a jet engine, here are the spec ★ Cpu: Intel i7 8700k ★★ Gpu: Asus Rog Strix Gtx 1080 TI OC ★★ Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB 16gb (2x8) ddr4 3000mhz ★★ Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 Pro ★★ Case: NZXT S340 Designed By Razer ★★ Hdd: 3TB Segata Barracuda 7200RPM★ Ssd: Corsair Force MP500 240GB★ Psu: Seassonic Focus Plus Gold 750W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ★★ Mobo: Asus Rog Strix Z370-F GAMING★ Fans: x4 Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 PWM★ Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit ★ ROOM TEMP ~22C The case fans and the cpu cooler are both from be quiet and they are supposed to be one of the quietest on the market, the gpu isnt the quietest but its supposed to be atleast decent enough to not be loud. I did try to set fan curve for the gpu, and under very heavy load it gets at around 80c (im fine with the temp i just want it as quiet as possible, this is the fan curve for it https://imgur.com/a/evFBD I tried to measure the sound with a phone app called Sound meter, its probably not that accurate but the average noise is 55db while idle, i also set the fan curve in bios for both cpu cooler and case fans to silent, the case should have pretty good airflow (1x120mm back, 1x140mm top and 2x140mm front) it looks sexy too, the pc is not very loud and i understand that it has to make some noise because of the fans but for the price of 3000$ i really expected something better...so the question is am i doing something wrong? Is the pc supposed to make this much noise? Thanks in advance
  11. thanks, ill try that when the parts arrive and edit this post with how it went
  12. i can use splitters, its just that i dont like them as much, i was asking this because i never plugged fans into a gpu and wanted to see if the gpu would control the fans speed as good as the motherboard..
  13. i think you misunderstood me im talking about the case fans not the gpu fans, i was asking whether i should connect my case fans to it too because i dont have enough headers on motherboard and im not a fan of splitters, the gpu has its own fans for cooling (3 of them to be accurate)
  14. the gpu will be colder than the cpu so im just a bit worried for the fans not spinning when cpu is hot but gpu isnt
