F0rfrey's Achievements

  1. I have recently stepped-up from an ultawide LG 25" to Dell S2716DG - QHD TN panel 144Hz with G-sync. I've been using 144hz panels before, and that was my goal. But I decided to go even further and get a G-Sync monitor. And while high refresh rate gives better expierience, I find G-Sync the real game-changer here. Quotin reviewers that "40fps with G-Sync looks like 60fps without it" is quite bullshit. But the difference is definetely noticeable, as the image stays smooth. Not as smooth as 60fps or above, this is sure, but it just doesn't HURT when you get that drop from 100fps to 40 or around. Can you spot the difference? Yes, you can. But it doesn't impact your experience as much.
  2. Ultrawide is glorious when it comes to productivity. Tell us your budget, most likely demanded size. Besides, ultrawides have nothing to do with competitive gaming as 21:9 support for games is still crap - usually UI is screwed. More than that - good color reproduction = IPS or derivatives.
  3. There is also AOC 2460PG . Also a TN panel, also FHD. Another one is BenQ XL2420G. FHD TN. No idea about the availibility in the US tho, since I'm from EU.
  4. Then your overclock is unstable. This is how you reveal stability issues. Usually ends up with software or driver crashes.
  5. Wait what. You do NOT connect monitors together, you only connect them with your graphics card. Like, your graphics has 2 HDMI's, then one HDMI connects to one monitor, and the second one goes to the other.
  6. Order placed, the choice has been made, taking Silent Wings. Thank you for your input. Close it, please!
  7. @WoodenMarker They're kinda expensive, nearly twice my budget. But if you're sure they will perform well with H440's restrictive panels, I'll surely take them. What about a white one for the back? Will a Bitfenix Spectre Pro do well?
  8. True, for the front white fans are not mandatory. I'm Polish and I'll pick the fans in polish shops so I am not sure if linking you the website where I compare prices would be any help. However, here it is: http://www.skapiec.pl/cat/73-pc-tuning.html Maybe using some on-the-fly translating will help you a bit. As for the hardware, you can see it in my signature
  9. Hello everyone, thanks in advance for your interest. As I mentioned in the subject, I need help with selection of case fans. Housing is the NZXT H440, white version, and therefore white fans are most welcome;) Due to the construction, on top I think the best will be some SP 120mm - but which ones? On the back I would prefer a 140mm one, airflow focused of course. But here I have a wrinkle, what with the front? Put on pressure or flow? SP will do much better on top, due to very little space for air ejection. However, at the front, the situation is exactly the opposite. The front is very restrictive when it comes to air intake from the outside - but nothing is blocking the flow on the other side, drives frame is nearly empty, I've got only one HDD there, in the lowest section of the bay. I also wonder whether it's better If I go with 140mm or 120mm fans? Given that the 140mm at the top and front are up to 2 pieces, and 120mm up to 3. I'm not talking here about money saving, but rather about the very viability. I think, 3x120mm fall out better than 2x140mm in terms of air flow, but 2x140mm will run quieter - at the same speed, of course. But what about the temperature differences? Will it be noticeable? Because, if they would make similar noise, while 3x120mm giving better temps, I'd rather spend a bit more and get more 120s than less 140s. For fans I can spend hmm ... I think about 15$/each. Silence is the priority here, and as already stated - white ones, which would match the H440 would be the best, or partly white even No leds tho! My attention was caught Boreas Alpha from Raijintek - black version with white wings. However, I have decided to abstain from the purchase and ask you for advice
  10. Enjoying your stuff almost since your beginning! Guess what. You evolved. LinusMedia isn't a company, it's a living and breathing being made of passion and hard work of few friends. Much love from Poland to every single member of LMG
  11. 8350 is not officially supported EDIT Also, Wooden Marker. I am getting the GPU NOW, January~ will be another upgrade. Seems like you misunderstood a bit.
  12. Anyways thanks for your support, will just go with 770 and psu for now Thanks a lot! Cheers.
  13. Ya well, according to the tests I've seen, it's not really worth to stay at amd camp if I'll have to change mobo anyways... It's still not going to be cheap and still will make me upgrade all that stuff in parts because of cash so I'd rather just keep myself with a brand new gpu then collect the cash for new gen intels Anyways, answering your question: Yes, it supports 6350, but it doesn't support 8350. EDIT Interested in shadowplay, that's why 280X isn't considered I am not a fanboy or whatsoever! 280X is amazing in that price chart afaik.
  14. Errr I am from Poland, and our prices a bit differ from yours. When you look at average earnings of 2000PLN, while the GTX770 costs 1200PLN on average, you can easily find out how much a rock solid and powerful psu will cost me. Also, according to this, while good 750 is enough for double Titan, I believe strong 600-650W will be way more than enough for double 770, which I'm not even sure of getting
  15. Yeah in case of psu I though of Corsair RM 550... But maybe I'll go with some platinum up to 600W. Just in case if I'l want to sli in the future.
