  1. Still running the same hardware as last time. 1080 and T600 going to net me average 2m PPD. I had a weird issue where all cores were corrupted after updating the docker image. It was giving me the following error for both 22 and a8 cores: FahCore returned: FAILED_3 (255 = 0xff) A quick delete of the cores folder and let FaH download them again got everything running well.

CALL TO ACTION: I am looking for people to work…

Seems interesting but I doubt I have the skills to be useful... yet.
  3. I'm surprised I ranked all the way up at 45th just squeezing out @BondiBlue. Very happy to be top 50 :D
  4. Yeah ideally I'd have liked to get a much larger capacity unit but it was cost prohibitive at the time and even more so now. I might just make my own battery or accumulator to use with the unit after this one shows its age. It does seem a little involved but the longer running times will be well worth it.
  5. I also run a typical APC 1500VA UPS for my server and internet. I actually used it during the event when I had a power outage for 5 hours. Server and networking are on it just for a little safety but it did its job well. Server ran for another 15 min then gracefully shutdown and internet stayed up for another hour.
  6. Woo that's a wrap. Thanks everyone for the lovely competition for those participating and those who didn't sign up and participated anyways with special thanks to our leaders @GOTSpectrumand @cbigfootfor keeping things rollin' despite life and configurations getting in the way. Time to game with full exclusive GPU access and gain back those few frames that never stopped folding with everything I was doing. Cheers!
  7. Yeah good to know. I kinda figured it was a problem with their servers, internet routing, or something as I didn't see anything submitted by me in WU status. I restarted the client and then my server it's running on and neither changed anything. Routing wise they take the same path to the highland servers. Oh well who knows
  8. I don't know if any of y'all have had issues with sending in a few WUs but I've had a couple during the comp with 18201 being the most recent where it'll upload 5mb before quitting. I just noticed that it's been trying up upload it for 4 days now and is about to time out. No other problems with other projects on this machine or the others. Kinda sad it's such a waste of resources.
  9. Woo made that final position jump on the last corner. Lets see how things stack up across the line!
  10. I might actually manage to take a further spot or two if the stars align before the end of the event. Lets see this final push!
  11. ooh CT854 coming to join me in that fight for top 50. I luckly gained a spot from Dildor going offline for the day.
  12. I just noticed this was my best day yet.
  13. Hope you recover soon Spec. I love participating in these events as well and try to contribute when I have time and spare resources (brain included). I'd be into donating for a sponsor spot if that's how things turn out.
  14. Yeah I've been working on them for over a decade now. They incorporate just about every major facet of technology to accomplish the features, cost, and efficiency that you'd expect now-a-days.
  15. hahaha I'm actually just about to rebuild mine with a new switch and vlan config.. lets see if I suffer the same fate.
  16. The Tesla mining article could just be a fictitious proof of concept but most hybrid battery packs have a high voltage to 12v converter mounted on the battery itself since each hybrid battery design will have different voltages depending on which vehicle it came out of and cars electrical systems also run on 12v. I could see this being actually set up to work with that new Intel 12v standard where all the step down is on the motherboard and then just hook up a couple cables directly to the battery packs (with fuses for safety of course). It wouldn't be too hard to fashion up an adapter cable harness with additional PCIe power cables for a mining setup.
  17. I'm a little late but this is pretty typical of it's standard config. I have it installed mostly for transcoding on my server but it's folding for the month. Firmware tops the fan out at 60% and easily hits power limits through PCIe with no external power.
  18. oof I'm in a precarious 47th position with the few below me pushing some solid numbers
  19. I guess I'll see my hours of non-folding next update or all the WUs decided to cash in at the right time and would've been a record day for me.. either way is good news for now :p
  20. Power outage for most of the afternoon should have my numbers down quite a bit. It was actually starting to get cold in my basement again
  21. that's my line. apparently you're coming up comin' up quick
  22. oof lost a level but I'm still top 50 so I'm satisfied
  23. RIP OEM Indian PSU. Luckily it wasn't proprietary nor too cheap as to break anything on its way out. This TOP244PN piece is all that remains of it after yesterday.
