  1. Hi there I need to upgrade my laptop's memory capacity, and the only kit available for me right now is a 8GB PNY 2400MHz CL19 stick. My laptop is currently running a 2+4Gb at 2400 CL16. So I was wondering if I could loose too much performance in the switch. Thanks for your time
  2. Um, sorry, I have an R5 1500X @3.8ghz+8GB DDR4 2400MHz, RX 480 GAMING X 4GB, B350M-A, EVGA 600 BQ
  3. BTW I have a MSI RX480 GAMING X Looking at the graphs, it seems like the power is throttling too, and seems that its unable to maintain the max frequency, although the GPU load maintains at 100%
  4. This in Ultra and Low settings low-settings.mp4 ultra-settings.mp4
  5. Is this CX450M hold for an GPU upgrade, let's say like a 1070, or a Ryzen 7???
  6. Hi there, this is my setup Ryzen 5 1500X RX 480 Gaming X 4G 8GB RAM Asus B350M-A Prime 1xSSD, 2xHDDs 1xLED Case Fan My current PSU is a ThermalTake TR2 430W I'm planning to buy one of the two PSUs of the title https://www.pcfactory.cl/producto/27286-fuente-poder-600w-80-bronze-da600 This one cost about 65-67 US dollars https://www.spdigital.cl/products/view/59283 The EVGA is about USD$80
  7. @fasauceome and what about facts that prove one cooler is better(gaming x) than the other one(armor) .
  8. @JM21 @mail929 @Jurrunio. LOL I know that logically, the gaming x should be better, but he sayed that the Armor is better because the pipes touches directly the GPU and the Gaming X has a copper plate. And I just don't have a solid argument to prove him.wrong
  9. A friend of mine says that his RX 580 Armor cooler is better than my RX 480 gaming X. How can this be possible if my GPU is a higher branch?
  10. @bindydad123 , @circeseye, thanks for answering, I figure out what was causing the crashes: it was - apparently- a malfunction between the MSI Gaming App and the MSI Afterburner. I rebooted the PC and nothing wrong happened.
  11. Hi there, I have an MSI RX480 Gaming X 4G, a R5 1500x, 8Gb of RAM(ultra cheap RAM, NO VENDOR) and ThermalTake TR2 430W PSU. OK, now my computer has crashed like 3-4 at start of loading programs in the OS. The screen image corrupts with what seems like a checkerboard artifact's grid. One time in past week this happened, but it was after I stumbled with the PC desktop. So... What could possible be this issue? Thanks, and greetings from Cuba.
  12. Hi there, the problem is the following: Installed the latest drivers I have available the 18.11.1, and felt a shitty performance, so without noticing installed the chipset drivers and it installed and older pack (17.2). At first I thought it was the reinstalled OS (1809) but later testing (GR Wildlands benchmark) I noticed a 10FPS loss and a different CPU And GPU usage.
  13. OK thanks for tips, but here the power bill is very very cheap though.
  14. So undoing the CPU OC, with this should be enough for handling the RX480??? What about underclocking the GPU???
  15. Trust me if I could I'll do it, I had thr money, the problem is that I can't pay in here an insane amount for a PSU. I stated that I wanted to last at least 1year, because maybe I can get an EVGA 500W or an Corsair, both 80+ certificated. It's very complicated to be a gamer here.
  16. Yes I now, but I live in Cuba, so US trade blockade/embargo, rips off my chances of shipping to my location. It's impossible to me to acquire in decent price a good PSU. This one cost me 70 bucks here. The 550CX are @$100.
  17. I also have a SSD, and 2 HDD drives, as well one Corsair LED case fan.
  18. Hi there, I have an GIGABYTE 1050Ti Windforce OC, the one with on extra power plug. So I'm thinking to change for an MSI RX480 Gaming X 4G. I have read that this card TDP is 150W, so I'm wondering if my PSU would hold it, at least for another year. My PSU is a ThermalTake TR2 430W, the newer version. My setup: ASUS B350M-A PRIME AMD Ryzen 5 1500X @3.8GHz BIOS pre-made OC profile 8GB DDR4 2x4 1050Ti from Gigabyte Thanks for reading this.
  19. Hi there, recently I buy an used monitor, and I didn't realize how used it was, a big mistake I'm paying now. So today I perceive a serious of tiny, very tiny, red dots organized in a pattern, my guess is they are subpixels. Is there anyway to fix this, I have pixel healer program. I can't buy another monitor so I kinda f*****, I know. Well, thanks for listening. PS. The dots are red but my cellphone camera didn't show it correctly.
  20. Oh ok, Thanks a lot. And this tec what really does?
  21. Hi there, I purchased a home 27es monitor and activated the HP enhance+ and the image quality quicky bumped up, now I wonder if this cuts the screen's lifespan.
  22. The mobo is an ASUS B350M-A, and last night after taking the pictures of the rig an the RAM, I assembled the PC as usual, and voila... No video signal. Take out one RAM stick, and signal, try the other one... nop, nothing. I started to worry at that point, but I call a friend and he told that clean the ram with alcohol and heated it with a hair dryer. After it cool off, I try again and... It worked. F*** the cheap RAM. Quite an scary night. After that ran some stress test to the memory and a few games and it behaved stable.
  23. The PSU cable are too short, that's why cable management is almost impossible
