  1. I'll just stick to HDMI for now until I can figure out what's causing the issue with DP since I do dual boot Windows and Linux.
  2. It worked fine before I switched the GPU. I just tested the 1440p monitor with HDMI (the one thing I haven't tried yet) and the POST and BIOS actually came up. I guess I can deal with using HDMI, but wouldn't be able to get the max refresh rate (it can only do 165 Hz over DP)
  3. BIOS doesn't even come up when I keep pressing delete with just the 1440p monitor connected. It will only show if the 1080p monitor connected.
  4. Tried all 3 DP with both monitors, works with the 1080p but not the 1440p monitor I'll be using
  5. I recently upgraded from a RTX 3060 to a 3070 Ti. Before, everything would display fine, but nothing displays on my monitor until Windows boots and brings up the login screen after the GPU swap. I've tried different DP cables, reinstalling the GPU drivers, and updated my systems BIOS (since a newer version was available). When I connected a smaller 1080p monitor (my main one is 1440p) with DP and HDMI, I get the POST screen and was able to get into the BIOS. I tried using this Nvidia tool for DP I've seen mentioned in some other posts, but it says that it doesn't apply to my GPU. What else could I try to get it to work? Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz 32GB PSU: Corsair RM 750 OLD GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 3060 Elite NEW GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 Ti Trinity OC Main Display: Asus VG32VQR (used a Samsung T55 27" for testing output when nothing but Windows would display)
  6. Didn’t have much of a choice. Came with a prebuilt from Cyberpower that I bought at Best Buy over a year ago. Been slowly upgrading components as I could to eventually have a decent PC. GPU and PSU were the last things on my list (but may upgrade the cooler and CPU in the near future and give my brother the 3600 for his rig)
  7. I think I'll go ahead and replace it. I was on the fence, but might as well go ahead and bite the bullet since I plan on some more upgrades (and my brother getting some more "new" stuff)
  8. *facepalms* of course I would forget to mention that. Yes that's what I currently have (had to double check, thought it was 650 but I was thinking of the PC I built for my brother).
  9. I got lucky and managed to get my hands on a RTX 3060 (the AORUS GeForce RTX 3060 ELITE 12G to be exact) and on the specs page on Gigabyte's site says the recommended PSU wattage is 650w. My system currently has a 650w PSU and I've seen in a couple different places that you should have a good PSU for this card specifically. Should I get a PSU with a higher wattage rating, or should what I already have be good enough?
  10. Could possibly be a driver issue? Does the drive show up in Device Manager?
  11. Ok. Where is the rest of your networking equipment located?
  12. Going off of what I know from experience, you probably shouldn't be storing any sensitive data on your personal computer. My mom works at a major hospital and with her position, she can work from home currently. She can't have any work-related data on her computer. She can only access anything work related through a virtual desktop while connected to a VPN.
  13. I agree. Ask someone in the IT field that is familiar with HIPPA. I'm sure more than just encryption will be needed.
  14. I can assume you're running Windows, but what OS are you using? And if it's Windows 10, is it Home or Pro?
