Licencing industry =/= distribution industry. The distributors attain a licence from the producers through a licencing industry. this way 3 corps get money. not just the producer and the distributer.

moron -.- ive explained this to you already... 256/384Gb per die. your dies come in integer numbers. meaning you can either have a capacity of x dies or y dies. you cant have x.something dies. then you have your controller which is a z channel design. meaning your number of dies has to be a multiple of z (its not that simple actually you can have dies with more channels or more dies per channel, but lets not get into that). that means you can only have certain set capacities in a design. those capacities are A*z*(die capacity) where A is a positive integer, z is the number of channels on the controller and die capacity is self explanatory.
