  1. Thanks everyone for the reply’s I tested a short new wire while setting my laptop next to the router and that didn’t have any drops so yeah it’s the cable. Ordered outdoor rated cable
  2. I’ll have a look at it I just expected a slow speed or out right not working if that’s the case but it won’t hurt to test it yeah where I live I wasn’t able to find one (easily) unless I import it and patience is not a virtue I have I could probably find it if I go shop hopping but I don’t have the time to do that
  3. So I'm having random ethernet drops every now and then. it works fine most of the time but suddenly it drops for 5-10 seconds then continues going. I talked to my ISP and they said they didn't see a problem at their end. they also sent me a technician to check over my network and we replaced the main router. my only thought now is that it could be the ethernet cable that I'm using as it sits outside where the temperature reaches 45-50C. but before I change it to an "outdoor" rated one I wanted to know if these drops could be caused by it as I don't want to invest in 1000ft of it as thats my only way to get it
  4. an the cpu market isnt that huge so im trying for complete systems, cheapest 6th gen i7 (hp prodesk 400g3 i found so far is around 300$ 4gb ram no gpu(i offered 200 which i believe is fair), stand alone cpu i5 6th gen is 80$ and there are people who ihave i7 3770's for 100$+
  5. Yeah this is was the plan, while not a bunch but rather 2 or 3 to test out the market as the Used PC market over here is very overpriced in my opinion, if they would make decent machines i'd be able to sell them with a small margin while staying pretty fair but from the looks of it i'd better stay away from those systems. thanks everyone!
  6. Hello, I've been searching around for used components/pc's the only CPU's that ive found where they are priced reasonably are 2nd/3rd gen intel CPU's. i was thinking of "fixing" these systems and throwing something like a 1050/1150 and using it for gaming. would this be viable?
  7. Alright. What you guys are saying makes sense. thanks for the help ^^
  8. I backed up all my stuff and have a lot of random programs and files that i don't really need. its more to clean up rather than having problems. but if a fresh install would be better I can do that too i guess
  9. Not sure if this belongs here, if not please tell me On Windows 10 I have recently bought an M.2 drive and i'd like to move my operating system to it. I'd like to also do a complete reset of my system. Currently I'm thinking of resetting my windows then migrating it using a migration tool to the M.2. Is there a better/easier way to do it? Thanks!
  10. im guessing one of the fans is making that noise not all of them which probably means a bad bearing?... if you wanna diagnose this maybe try to stop one fan at a time. from the looks of it it seems to be the fan on the left making the noise
  11. Hello, Friend of KJH, the issue has been fixed, it was a problem with the display cable (it was slightly loose) after putting it in properly the issue was fixed.
  12. So I had this phone for around 3 years give or take. It’s been working fine ever since I’ve gotten it and only had 1 battery replacement (new battery is oem) done by Luis Rossman ship around a year ago. so today out of no where my phone suddenly started heating up (under normal use) and slowing down. Should I update to the latest version and hope that the software was the problem or is this some apple shinnangings?
  13. yes you can, make sure in the bios that the M.2 is set as the boot drive
  14. GPU was around 224 GBP MOBO around 120 (i think) ram around 40 CPU around 165-200 Total : 509-544 I got them back when 4th gen was released so im not 100% sure about the prices of those but the GPU price is the correct one
  15. I5 4960K OC to 4.2 CoolerMaster 212 EVO GTX 1660 Ti 16GB HyperX fury 1866 (2X8) MSI Z97S SLI Plus Corsair RMi750W 500gb 2.5 WD Blue SSD 4TB Seagate Barracuda HDD 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD some random cheap coolermaster case (i think k275) is its name not sure though
  16. you can see here how much even one of the best cpu's of the AM3 sock (fx-8350) with your GPU and it massivly bottleneck it https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/amd-radeon-rx-580/amd-fx-8350-eight-core/ Either look around for used 4th gen intel CPU's or look into 2nd gen Ryzen CPU's if you want to remain AMD(prices went down since ryzen 3rd gen released).
  17. just thought if you'd go with a new CPU you will need new ram since everything is on DDR4 now. if you want to keep your ram i think DD3 went up to the 4th gen of intel core series. AMD cpu's are really not that great before the ryzen launch
  18. get your self a new cpu as the old FX series is... Bad. but that also means new MOBO and ram
  19. go for a 7200 RPM HDD if possible, it makes a decent deference in load times
  20. i'd say go for a 650 watt PSU and get ur self a mechanical hard drive as games these days are too big and 500gb is not enough
  21. So i recieved the adaptors and tried them out they work. i also grabbed a different one from a company called trands which was over double the price of the amazon basic one. Both are working fine but the colors are a bit off on both... since i the trands once seems like a high quality one that might be a common thing with the adapters unfortunately but im not sure
  22. check if the cooler is properly mounted or if the thermal paste application is good. your temps should be lower
