  1. If you're going to include some bad, I think you also need some good. and there are PLENTY of accurate and decent scenes in MR Robot to do with code. Some not so also. BUt that would be my suggestion.
  2. Hello! I used to have a plex server running years ago. I'm finally coming back but for some reason, I can't get the setup wizard for my server to load. Whenever I click "My Media" there is no setup windows like there used to be for my server where I can manage it all? I'm sure there used to be a GUI for the server? Whenever I click on My Media, it just sends me to download plex server, which i already have installed. Everything is up to date. I've tried to reinstall. I've tried deleting everything from local app data. I cannot see how to set up a server anywhere without the wizard. and cannot seem to get the wizard to launch no matter how much uninstall and reinstall i try. Any ideas?
  3. PSU was second hand before I got it. Its had a LOT of use. Every day, 6+ hours a day. Some less, some more. So that's why I'm leaning towards it being a PSU issue. Yes, 3 HDD. Should be able to see that in the HWINFO data.
  4. I've stated them. 8700k EVGA 1070 Hybrid Corsair ax 760i PSU LPX ddr4 16gb Tomahawk Motherboard. Various HDD's, An SSD and an NVME. Parts havent changed in years. Never had an issue.
  5. Update: I've ran both Furmark and Prime 95, not an issue. It's completley random. The PC can be idle and it will shut off. Or it can be under a full load. Or, either can be completley fine.
  6. The reason I am thinking PSU is it was already second hand when I got it. And that was 7 years ago. If it was software, I would see something somewhere. but its not even a blue screen, it's like it's a thermal shutdown or PSU overload.
  7. 8700k. 1070Hybrid Corsair 16gb ddr4. Msi Tomahawk motherboard. I've done a memtest. Everything checks out.
  8. It doesn't make a difference. It's not been an issue for the past 5 years....
  9. Everything at stock. XMP is on and has been for the past 5 years.
  10. Im not comfortable enough to repaste the GPU. But the temps never get above 50. Usually. Again, with the data, nothing is reading as high. Even remotley.
  11. Had the same pc for about 7 years now. Same GPU for about 5. Nothing like this before. So it's not like anything has changed recently to warrant that troubleshooting step I would have thought. 8700k, 1070 Hybrid. I have tried a different power cable too, same issue.
  12. I remember in the past having CPU thermal shutdowns. (not on this PC) Where if the CPU exceeded the max limit, just, instant off. I'm having more and more frequent similar shutdown or restarts (the PC will restart itself) Where everything just, instantly turns off like I unplugged the power cable. I have logged one of these shutdowns using HWinfo and NOTHING is exceeding temperatures. CPU, GPU, Motherboard, all voltages seem fine on the motherboard, nothing is an outlier in the data (Provided) My only conclusion now is that it is a Power Supply Shutdown. Does that mean time for a new one? Edit: Update. Update: I've ran both Furmark and Prime 95, not an issue. It's completley random. The PC can be idle and it will shut off. Or it can be under a full load. Or, either can be completley fine. I have also checked event viewer, and it seems almost everytime it does this, 10016 logged. and also 6155. Update 2: I have removed the filters to the PSU. I think it may have been starved of air and shutting down. pc logging.CSV
  13. Hello everyone. i was wondering if anyone had any idea if the exclusive content will stay up after LTX is done? Can't get a digital pass this week but plan to next time payday comes around. Thanks.
  14. I remember asking Linus a long time ago if they needed help and was told to wait! I'm a big boy, (over 450+ lbs) and usually wear 6xl tshirts. So glad this came around! I submitted the form using a different email to my forum account (So I won't miss it!) I have bought LTT shirts in the past and unfortunatley have never been able to actually wear them. Hope to help! and actually be able to rep LTT! I am currently only able to buy shirts that fit from one retailer in the UK (Bad Rhino) And have often found them to be decent, if not lacking in style, they're usually plain. It would be nice just to have the opportunity to even buy something with a bit more, style. The "ebay" shirts I have usually fall apart after a couple months, so I'm also looking for some quality too. Happy to take whatever photos you need and will be able to reply in detail about the fit. It's something that is actually an ongoing concern for me and has been for a number of years.
  15. Summary A public swimming pool is being heated by a small data centre in the UK. It's about the size of a washing machine and can provide the pool with temperatures up to 30c. Quotes My thoughts What I find interesting here is the fact it's submerged in mineral oil. It doesn't leave much room for troubleshooting, but I find it a little interesting that LMG have been speaking about heating pools with computers, and also the recent discussion on a new submerged system. I wonder if this could be scaled at all. Sources BBC News - Tiny data centre used to heat public swimming pool https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-64939558
  16. In the 3d printing space they are indeed the "LG" sure, they're not as big, but I don't see what that has to do with offering parts for you to repair your devices. When you scale, It only becomes easier. There is NO WAY apple can't afford to warehouse house spare parts. They just choose not to offer them to the consumer.
  17. Hardly. They're one of the top players. Anycubic.
  18. Not as far as i'm aware. I mean, when you buy the product, they literally ship you a little toolkit in case you need to take it apart. Not legally, no, But they do actively do it.
  19. I've been having some interesting thoughts recently. It really frustrates me that certain companies really restrict the ability to repair your own device, and it really does seem to fall mainly within the tech community (Although Farming is hit hard here) We all know this, I'm sure. I'm just prefacing my point. I needed some bits for a resin printer, (Mainly a FEP sheet) and it got me curious. I went to the manufacturer of the printers website, and low and behold, I could buy a replacment motherboard, replacment screens, replacement, Anything critical really. Shipped directly from them at decent prices too. So it got me thinking, what other replacment parts would be available.... for my FDM etc, and I could buy anything from motherboard, to a screw, and everything in between. Not only that, I could buy upgrades and side grades and all manner of other things. Just, shipped to my door. The fact that other companies don't see this as a PLUS for their business is really frustrating. Take, a phone for example. (Im trying SO hard here not to name a company) Let's say we break the screen on this phone and we go to get a part, and it's either, prohibitively expensive, or just, impossible without a lot of frustration. Next time, i'm just, not going to buy one from that manufacturer. However, if I break my phone, And I can buy a part for it, from the manufacturer, not only do they get another sale, they keep me invested to upgrade when it finally does come to that. I know that we all possibly know this, but maybe some people don't. The right, or even ability to repair your own stuff if it goes wrong, is HUGE. Did i need to drop 300+ on a new printer? Nope. 30 quid and about 20 minutes of time fitting stuff. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. TL:DR. 3d Printing companies offer replacment parts and it's awesome.
  20. Thanks for the heads up. It would mostly just be used for discord and chat monitoring while streaming at most.
  21. One of my 27 inch monitors hit concrete today during a house move. Rip. Luckily it was my older one, not my 144hz baby. If I was to buy a cheap monitor with just hdmi, can I use a dp to hdmi cable to run it? My gpu only has one hdmi out and that's being used for a TV. The rest are all dp.
  22. Yeah, I was thinking that, but i have hotkeys on the keyboard I'm not using, that can use streamdeck software so I was wondering if i could trim it even more
  23. I am wondering if there is a way (google isn't helping me right now) To use streamdeck software to setup hotkeys so that i can choose between Extended displays, and show only on display 1. Sometimes I don't want my second monitor on when im watching something for example and it's a hassle going into the settings everytime. Thanks!
  24. The reason to post is because linus requested it a while ago
