  1. Hey all! I've been grappling with a peculiar problem for the past few weeks that I just can't get to the bottom of. My system will randomly crash, sometimes while completely idle, other times when loading an intensive scene in a game, but also sometimes it'll work completely fine for hours. After checking event viewer I saw that there were two warning and errors that appear every time the system freezes/crashes like this. Either it's event 4101, Display "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." and/or event 13 with a different exception each time. And just yesterday, i was rendering something in blender when cycles crashed (but not blender itself) and i got the error "Illegal address in CUDA queue copy_from_device". Furthermore, ocasionally upon crashing windows will generate a minidump file which I've attached below, which seems to state "Arg1: 0000000000000002, The driver failed upon the submission of a command."

At first I believed that this was due to me using an experimental BIOS on my MSI B350 Tomahawk to use a R7 5800x as this issue began to occur after I changed the CPU from a 2600x, however upon buying a different board (MSI b550 Tomahawk) the issue persisted. Furthermore, it continues to crash with a different set of RAM, and yes, I have updated drivers using DDU first to 511.79 and again to 512.15 with no change.

If anyone has any insight to these issues I would be highly grateful for any help. 🙂

    The system specs are:

    Ryzen 7 5800X

    2x16gb 3200mhz CL16 trident Z RGB

    MSI B550 Tomahawk

ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti GAMING OC

  2. I've been trying to update my bios on my mobo as it's been causing me issues due to it being 1st gen ryzen and I have 2600x cpu. However whenever I go to the MSI website, there are now download links for the bios, or any download for it at all. Can anyone show me where to look?

Heres where i've been looking: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/b350-tomahawk

  3. Hi all,

My first real smartphone was a nexus 4 I bought 4-5 years ago, after swapping the lcd, as it had failed, I noticed that the proximity sensor was obstructed meaning whenever I place a call the screen goes black immediately until the call ends. Since then I’ve rooted the phone and installed poses, and the sensor disabled module. I then manually set the distance to it’s max, 5cm, and checked it with another app. Even though it reads 5cm the screen still goes black. Is there any simple solution to this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

  4. I recently decided to water cool my old raspberry PI B+ (original), but before I assmbled everything, i needed to stress test it for thermals. I ran the stress test after OCing it to "TURBO" and saw that after the test finished, it had only gone up 1 degree C.

Any suggestions on what went wrong?

    Thanks

  5. I need to us Msi Afterburner to limit fps on my stream or else the GPU is overloaded trying to get 100+ FPS, the problem is every time I launch Msi Afterburner my WIFI goes from 50+ megabits to less than 1 megabit.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Edit: I have re-installed it and it still hurts WIFI but not as bad (10 Mgbs)
