  1. Hey guys just built a new rig with a ryzen 7 5800X3D and wanted to try an aio liquid cooler(corsair h115i elite capellix) I've always been scared to try one due to water being involved but anyways when I put the standoffs in the mobo and into the backplate for mounting pump/pump screws 3 out of the 4 standoffs were just kinda spinning in the hole so I tried to mount the pump anyway and none of those 3 screws would tighten only one is fully tightened so I presume the cpu isn't getting adequate contact with pump heatsink. Temps aren't great idleing around 60-70 degrees and hitting 80-90 degrees in games. I'm wondering if I l need to buy a new mobo backplate or if the aio standoffs are just hecked
  2. Thanks much appreciated, the only thing I'm worried about now is the gpu being too heavy for the pcie lane but I just purchased gpu support bracket so it should be fine
  3. Hey guys I currently have a build that includes a msi b350m gaming pro motherboard which I bought for a budget build a few years ago.trying to save money by not buying a whole new mobo and I just found a sweet deal on 1080ti but I'm just wondering if it'll work OK if I put a ryzen 7 1800x and the 1080ti in it. Kinda worried that if I put those two on that motherboard it'll fry it or something. Thanks in advance.
  4. What’s actually funny about this picture is you can see my Xbox ones power brick unplugged under my desk don’t think it’ll get plugged in again
  5. Feelsgoodman running league at 250+ frames running paragon well on medium t9 high settings ayyye
  6. Thanks for all the replies guys, after I posted this I started doing some more troubleshooting I took everything except the cpu and cooler out of the mobo and one by one started to plug things. So one of the wires coming from the case had my case fans wired into what I think is a molex connector with a 4 pin connector on the end and I assumed once I hooked the psu up to the molex connector I was supposed to plug the 4 pin connector into the system fans header on my mobo but I guess that wasn’t the case turns out me plugging that 4 pin connector into the sys fan header was preventing my pc from powering on at all, I removed that and everything fired up smoothly thanks again everybody
  7. So I’m trying to switch from Xbox one to pc and my parts came in today. Ive got all the parts installed and it won’t even power on no fans, just the ez debug led which flashes all lights for a split second, all connections are snug. My build is as follows Ryzen 1300x, GTX 1050ti gaming x, two sticks of 8gb ripjaws v ddr4 2800, msi b350m gaming pro, evga 500b, Samsung 250gb ssd, seagate barracuda 2tb hdd, and nzxt s340 I just took everything out of the motherboard except the cpu and cooler, put it on some cardboard, and put in the one stick of 8gb ddr4, the gpu, and then plugged the 8 pin cpu connector, 6 pin gpu connector and the power switch and it fired up with the ez debug led staying lit solid on boot so I put everything back in but I’m back at step one please help me I’m new at this and so close to just bringing it to a shop I hope this is detailed enough thanks in advance
  8. Thanks for all the help glad this community isn't as toxic as league lmao, I don't really care about price, I don't want a loud psu if possible, and I don't care if it's fully modular or not. cable sleeves are prefered, I mostly play League and want to get into overwatch on pc but sometimes play mmo's. If I wanted to upgrade my cpu and gpu in the future I would like a little wiggle room though thanks again guys
  9. So i just bought a Ryzen 3 1300x, MSI B350M gaming pro motherboard, Samsung 850 EVO SSD and a 2 TB hard drive. I plan to buy a GTX 1050 ti,16 gb of DDR4 3000 and a NZXT S340 case but the thing that i'm having trouble with is picking an appropriate PSU. I've gathered a fair amount of knowledge on this matter but am concerned about picking the wrong one.I think a 500w PSU would be enough but i dont know. Help would be much appreciated. I also wanted to maybe put in an led strip and/or RGB case fans but don't know if that would influence what PSU I would buy. This is my first PC build by the way so, sorry if my part list looks stupid. I think that covers everything thanks in advance.
