No, I do not have the original packaging.
Then I'm sorry, you need that to have warranty. Memory kits are guarantee to work properly with each other, and are usually manufacture in the same packaging.

assuming it is not already installed, (in which case just uninstall it through the control panel, then install the new one) go the
C:\Program Files (x86) and C:\Program Files
folders and delete any folder or file that has anything to do with folding at home
Uh this is a newly-installation so no old FAH files...

I highly recommend not running anything like that on a laptop
Nah I just want to try out my laptop abilities. Can you help me to fix this?

A memory kit means memory sticks inside its original packaging, with labels and everything. Do you have your original package? And does your memory are the same thing?

Hi everyone. I tried to install the Folding@Home on my laptop, with Windows 7 Professional, i7-3540, 8gb RAM. Everytime I tried to install the app it just show a screen like this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It gets hot as hell - he doesnt have good cooling and youd need a 50 dollar noctua cooler.
Its IPC is absolute shit so it wont matter. Its terrible for gaming and wont do any good at content creation.
Jayz2cents did a video with the step up 8 core version and he paired it with great cooling and a titan xp. He got 50 fps max at mediujm/low settings in gta 5.
Ryzen 3 would be much more worth it if someones buying a PC because it wont require another cooler, they could get an overclockable board for 50 dollars.
Uh Hyper 212 EVO is pretty decent for overclocking. Ryzen 3 is overclockable-True. But its stock Wraith cooler is not enough for overclocking, and again, a cheap $30 Hyper 212 and a overclockable board is enough. For the seller, this is a hard sell because I admit the FX-6300 is only equivalent to a 3rd Gen i5. It would be quite bottleneck for the RX 560.

Sorry for my recent post, I would suggest $400-450 without peripherals, and because your mouse and keyboard are all great value, and I will just assume that your Asus monitor is a normal 1080p one, I would suggest $600 for everything.

The FX-6300 is still a 6-core, RX560 is still very new and powerful enough to run games, and your PSU is 80+ Gold. I wonder if your monitor is a gaming Asus monitor. All your other stuff is decent enough and $500-550 is worth it. But,the RAM price is still skyrocketing as hell and you should check price regularly.

Excuse me, the FX-6300 is a 6-core, overclockable, can reach well 4.8Ghz if have decent cooling. It's around $78 now, and it's still a bargain and a decent choice for budget system.

Welcome you to the PC master race! If you are wondering the front usb, audio,... then all your cables are included with the case. Pls refer to your motherboard user guide for details. About the case fan, then you would need to check your case detail to see if your case include fans.

Uhm there are really no attempts out there to implement RGB lightings on CPU's cover so... Funny btw.

AMD is ready to release Raven Ridge now

Budget players have a lot of decent choice for a solid CPUs-GPUs combo. However, AMD has a lot of good CPUs with decent Radeon graphics in it. So I'm considering an A10-7890K because like they advertise it has got more than 1 TFLOPS, which is probably enough for 900p gaming. Is it worth a shot for AMD APUs? Need cmts.

I didn't say it's not built well. It has perfect battery life for my daily usage (if I'm not gaming) and great design. What I mean is it would be nice if Apple can squeeze in a 7th gen Core i5 in it. That will make my Mac more usable, and it's more powerful and power efficient

Considering that this is a $1000 laptop at the time my parents bought it, it just doesn't make sense. Even MacBook Airs today still use fking-slow 5th gen Core i5 U version

I have boot camp already. Mind you that MacBooks aren't upgradable. Their RAM is stuck into the mobo.
I have tried CSGO and it performs at 40fps Low Settings. For some reason, my POWERFUL graphics card don't increase it VRAM automatically.

Recently my parents just gave me their old MacBook Air early 2015 version so they can upgrade theirs. I have my own desktop, but the question is, what can I game on my MacBook? My Mac got a 1.6Ghz Core i5-5250u, 4Gb of RAM, 250GB SSD, a powerful integrated Intel HD Graphics 6000. I'm a shooter kind of guy, but any great games that are playable on MacBooks are fine. I don't mind low settings or anything.

Nvidia and AMD both have a lot of impressive budget gaming GPUs such as the GTX 1050 or RX560,... but today I want to take it a level further (partially because I'm poor). I have a budget of $60-80, so what can I have for that price range for a decent graphics card that can run CSGO and League of Legends no prob? I'm considering the GT 1030, GT 730 or R7 250X. I'm not worried about low graphics quality or anything but a bump to low at 1080p or high at 720p/768p would be fine. Any other options? Thnx very much guys. btw I got an i3-7100 and 8Gb of RAM...

@CapitalistVN If you already have an i3 7100, you're going to spend much more money on an 8th gen CPU + 3xx motherboard than you would on a much better 7th gen CPU for your current motherboard. Why would you do that ?
That's my question! Wait 'till things get sorted out or just buy the newest 8th gen processors? Waiting might get me some cheaper 300 chipset mobos and better CPUs, but then the CPUs that will be released in 2018 will flip the whole market. Guys like me will want a 4 core i3 for a bargain price, then the CPU stock went out, then the whole thing will get like mining GPUs out-of-stock thing. Buying now will help me avoid those problems but higher price tag.
-
No really. Since the last i3-7100 only has 2 cores/4 threads, this year we have i3-8100 and i3-8350k with 4 cores/4 threads for the same amount of money!

A few days ago, Intel has introduced its newest microarchitecture, the 8th gen CPUs, called Coffee Lake. Now as a moderate gamer, I'm very excited about this as I can increase my core count in my i3-7100 to 4 cores for free! But since this generation is so new that the CPU market is not stabilized enough, and also there are only a few motherboards with chipset 300 that supports Coffee Lake, and they are really expensive (which is a really dumb thing to do Intel. Why they won't support 200 mobos longer?). Anyway, I planned to upgrade my rig to an i3-8350K to get overclocking and better performance. Should I upgrade it now or wait at least until 2018, because I also know that Intel will still introduce more 8th gen CPUs next year. btw I'm new and come from Vietnam, as you can probably guess...
