  1. USED PHONES - Best Bang For your Buck! or Best Phones for Long Term Users I would love to see a breakdown on what phones are worth the money for people that buy phones they keep for multiple years or for those upgrading with used phones. - you could compare price ranges vs what you get (for example I just bought a 6-month-old Galaxy S9+ for the same price I could have bought a four-year-old Iphone 7+) - comparison of battery conditions you're getting on the used/refurbished phones you buy - known issues / or problems that are common with certain phones when they get old (for example, Galaxy S5 ram turned to junk after a year of use) - quality of long term software support for products Hope to see my suggestion show up on LTT, I think a whole lot of people would get some use out of this one ? Congrats on 8 million subs.
  2. Thanks for all the replies, for starters I don't have a problem waiting a few months if there's something absolutely worth waiting for, although black Friday is a great time to buy. So as I gather so far 1. Performance gains will be worth the extra dollars to just move to either 8th Intel or AMD. 2. I'm completely open to either platform, I just want to get the best performance per buck, my current understanding/perception of the market 8th Gen - better single threaded performance ... so games AMD - better multi threaded performance ... so workload/editing etc Or will it be like everything else and just come down to who it was better tuned for per game? 3. sell the 1070gtx and get a 1080ti bc SLI is hit or miss (yes in this area I do want NVIDIA over AMD) .... 4. I would RAID0 my drives because I have other backup, I just want a fast drive for games and OS
  3. I currently have a i7 920... so an old CPU and mobo and I want to switch to a new build, and obviously with the AMD and Intel changes right now everything is up in the air. I want two things, 4k gaming performance and storage performance. 1. Should I stick to the I5 7th generation and a cheap~ish Z270 motherboard, or will the new more expensive Intel/AMD generations give me significantly better gaming performance? 2. Would a M.2 SSD impact my performance due to PCIE lanes being used up or should I RAID0 some SSDs? (my understanding is i5 6700k has 16 PCIE lanes so a M.2 could drop that down to 8x lanes for my 1070gtx) 3. I have one 1070 GTX and I'm open to getting a second one for SLI, again with limited PCIE lanes would choosing an I5 be bottle-necking myself? I plan on spending $600~1000... I only need CPU/MOBO/RAM thanks for your input!
