  1. I do have a Switch already. But besides Zelda and Mario there's not much that gets me interested. I also have a PS5 though. I am just looking for a Handheld PC since there are the games that I play the most. Thank you all for your replies!
  2. Hi everyone I figured I'd ask you, as you are all tech savvy and might have some experience with the two devices. The thing is this: I am from Switzerland, and Valve in their infinite wisdom do not sell Steam Decks here. So I would have to buy it from a reseller that sells it at a much higher price than justified. The ROG Ally is freely available. But: The price difference ist 0. So I could either get a Steam Deck 256GB at 100$ cheaper (although it's not dollar but swiss francs, but it's basically 1 to1) or a 512GB one for 799.- The ROG Ally is also 799.- I have most games on Steam. But I do have all the other launchers like GOG, Origin, Epic, Battle.net and uplay. And I also have some games on them. I heard that the ROG Ally has a lot of software bugs, but I don't know if this is still the case. The Steam deck on the other hand is polished on the software side but a) less powerfull and b) almost 2 years old now with tech according to that time or even older. What do you guys think? I will only have money to buy one, so posts like buy both are not helping
  3. I know changed some settings in the G7 monitor (enable DP 1.4, it was on DP 1.2 because of GTX 980). I would have to restart and see if it still works. But I hope so.
  4. Yes, G-Sync is enabled. But it doesn't change anything.
  5. It does show up as second screen in the display settings
  6. I have a very strange problem. I recently bought a Samsung Odyssey G7. As soon as I populate two display ports in the graphics Card, the monitor goes black and non responsive. If I detatch the other monitor (LG Full HD) from the graphics card it works just fine. At first I thought it was a graphics card issue, since I still had a GTX 980. I now bought an RTX 3060 Ti but the problem is the same. I am now connected to my second Monitor via HDMI. That monitor would be 144Hz but it's now only working with 120Hz. It's not that bad but I'm wondering why my G7 does this. It worked before with another 60Hz monitor and the 144Hz. The Firmware on the G7 is M-TG700CCAA-1005.2 Thanks in advance Gaborsk
  7. Thank's, that was a very nice and detailled answer. I DO actually run a 144Hz monitor, but no GSync, only feesync. And since I don't have an Nvidia 10 Series Card there is no testing wether Gsync was even possible. I think that concludes my decision, that I will first upgrade the CPU and later on the GPU. Beacuse my budget only allows me either of them next month. I'm excited, finally going to upgrade my system after several years.
  8. Hi I have a similar question. I wan't to upgrade my Core i5 3570K as well. I settled on the Ryzen 3700X with 16GB of CORSAIR Vengeance LPX Black (CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18). I have an Nvidia GTX 980 (non Ti). Will there be any significant Bottleneck? I will use the PC for gaming (Anno 1800 is the most recent) and CAD (AutoCAD, Revit). I play in 1080p. Any response will be highly appreciated.
  9. Well, dead is normally dead. Linus once baked a GPU, but I don't guarantee that it works. Or if possible, you could try the gpu in another pc or one of the other PCIe slots.
  10. Also maybe try another hdmi or power cable.
  11. Do you have a dedicated graphics card? If so it‘s most likely not the MB. Try plugging in the monitor to the MB hdmi (or DVI). But only if your CPU has a built in graphics card and your MB supports it.
  12. If your PC won‘t start at all or shut down after a few secs I‘m pretty sure it‘s the PSU. I would try to replace this first.

  14. I used to pirate games frequently when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I earn money so I can pay for the games I like. There's plenty of reviews before the official launch so you don't have to buy a pig in a poke. Even if piracy doesn't hurt their sales I see it as a sign of respect towards the developpers and everyone involved. I also own Assassins Creed Origins (on XBone X though) and it's a great game. Better than Syndicate or Unity. Still, if this is really true to the PC version, it's a shitty move from Ubisoft.
