  1. YouTuber Bob Of All Trades is reporting that while the Walmart OP Gaming laptops perform well in benchmarks such as AIDA64, in CPU intensive games like Battlefield 5 the CPU is given a cripplingly low power limit (with the laptop operating relatively cool and not thermal throttling). Bob has tried flashing multiple other vendors BIOSs on the laptop, but they all experience the same issue. https://youtu.be/eMSyXGD-Fx8
  2. This would be a little longer of a video, and maybe more LTT appropriate, but it would be amazing if you could have a guide to building a diy or kit power bank. You frequently review gaming laptops (which we love), but many of them have poor battery lives and can't be charged by reasonably affordable power banks. If you could cover buying proper cells, give a few recommended power supply enclosures, and list a few simple equations to make sure that we have enough amps and volts to charge our laptops' batteries without frying them, college students and everyone else who can't afford or justify the cost of purchasing both a more portable laptop and a separate desktop for gaming, would be eternally grateful.
  3. I don't know about Amazon, but I know that at least Dell does if you buy directly from them.
  4. Ideally, I'd build a power bank around 100 watt-hours (I can currently get around six hours of battery life during use). Are there any videos or forum posts you can recommend that discuss how to figure out all the right voltages and amperages of the cells one uses, and are there any large power shells that you can recommend?
  5. I've undervolted with throttlestop (make sure to uninstall xtu first if your using throttlestop). This video should give you an idea of how it's used. There also are a bunch of guides and I'd recommend looking for a forum or group of people with the same laptop who can suggest settings for your specific laptop.
  6. I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 15.6''. I have already undervolted it, but I am looking for a power bank to get a bit more juice for watching movies while traveling. I've seen power banks like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XJ31XZR/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B06XJ31XZR&linkId=0fe7d8be82aa986ae29c11571c240a28&tag=linus21-20 (and some for a bit cheaper), but I can't seem to find any affordable power banks that can power my laptop (power adaptor Input: 100-240 V ~ 2.34 A 50-60 Hz Output:19.5V 9.23A). Is it possible to buy a laptop battery such as this one http://www.love-battery.com/product_detail.asp?id=10912 , and use it as an external battery pack? (and if so how)
  7. Make sure he checks for any service member discounts.
  8. Why is there a massive price jump between the dell inspiron 15 7567 and 7577? Does thunderbolt 3 and an extra Wi-Fi antenna really cost that much?
