  1. Heyo all, so I found an ASUS Z13 (13900H/RTX 4050) on the Officeworks website, for AUD$2297, where everybody else lists it as $3399, not sale/regular price. So I buy online for pickup, and then an hour later they fix the price to $3397. It was clearly a pricing error, and it's been over a day since I ordered it and they haven't updated it to ready for pick-up, and now I'm worried and wondering if it's legal in Australia for them to cancel my order because their pricing error?
  2. I bought a 12vhpwr cable for my AX1200i from cablemod about half a year ago, and ive started having issues with my PSU the last few months, and need to replace it. The AXi was compatible with both type 3 and type 4 PCIe corsair cables, and I need to know what the Cablemod spec is, as the new HXi are only type 3. Nowhere do they list what spec it is, so hoping somebody knows from experience or a cablemod employee sees this. https://custom.cablemod.com/bec0820f86de
  3. So after removing the dGPU, I found the issue was CSM. The 7950x locks the iGPU if you're running a Legacy boot loader.
  4. So I'm trying to change my install of Windows 10 from Legacy to UEFI, except it fails the validation. I've then read to run "X:\Sources>dir /a W:\" to check for the bootloader except WindowsPE console always starts with X:\windows\system32> How would I change it so I can run the sources command? Thanks in advance.
  5. So I've looked through my BIOS, even updated to the latest BIOS on Asus' website, yet I still can not find a setting for enabling the iGPU on the 7950x. The board is the Asus X670e Hero, I've seen some people say they don't have a way to turn theirs off, then say a BIOS update helped, didn't help from what I can see. I need the iGPU for additional monitors, as my GPU already has it's ports filled, and I no longer have space for my T600 I was using before (main reason I upgraded from Ryzen 5950x). Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Planning on buying some DDR5 for a 7950x, and not 100% sure which kit would be best. I assume the 6000/30 kit, but I want to double check with people more knowledgeable on RAM speeds. Prices have no impact, they're all within the same range. The kits are: - Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz CL40 - Corsair Dominator RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6200MHz CL36 - G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 EXPO thanks in advance.
  7. Heyo all, Looking into buying a UPS, as I'm currently having unstable power issues in my home (this is seen in weird issues with my PC, that are solved when I unplug a monitor), as well as brownouts and a few 1s blackouts a year. Now, I was wondering if these issues should be fixed with an UPS? As well as if CyberPower (VALUE2200ELCD) is a good brand of UPS, as they're what dominate the market in Aus. The weird issues: Headphones are full of static, whether directly plugged into PC, using my desk dac/amp, or my M15 DAP for output. Keyboard goes full spasm and doesn't register keys, then thinks I'm holding keys in.
  8. Idk what was going on, but it was by default that, after changing it to PEG then back, it worked. Thank you for help.
  9. Hi, as the title says, I am need my iGPU for output, but only works when I unplug my actual GPU, even though I've gone into the BIOS and set Integrated Graphics to Forced instead of auto/disable. I'm running an MSI B450-A Pro Max and 3000G. I've confirmed the iGPU works alone. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Damn. Would I be correct to assume just adding a 2nd card such as the GTX 1650 would solve my problem, and I could run 4 displays 3090 + 3 displays 1650? Albiet with cooling issues.
  11. Heyo all, Just wondering if it's possible to run 2 differet monitors (extended, not mirrored) on the 1x HDMI 2.1 port on my RTX 3090. I need a total of 6 (7 if I want to get a TV down the line) displays plugged in and only 5 ports. The best thing I can think of is plugging my 2x 4k60hz monitors into 1x HDMI 2.1 port (and then hdmi to dp adapters cause they only have hdmi 1.4), but everything I've found so far only works mirrored, not extended. I'm running a 5950x so I dont have an iGPU I can use, and I don't particuarly want to add another card into the system for thermal reasons. ~Any help would be appreciated.
  12. Ended up applying to a warrenty with PCCG (shop I bought it from), since they usually are willing to test it and then handle it for me. Shame I couldn't fix it myself, my Mobo doesn't have any display ports.
  13. I can feel the heat from CPU AIO, but nothing from the GPU. Used to be around 35 idle (Cause Australia ambient), but now since I ran DDU (after i created this thread), it just overheats and crashes within a minute of turning my PC on, not even running any apps. Are there any easy ways to check that don't involve me opening the card?
  14. Hi all, I own an MSI 2080 Ti Sea Hawk X, the AIO, and have owned it for just under a year. Recently though, it's stopped cooling itself. The fan is still running, I've felt the tubes for vibrations, and I believe the pump is still working, but I am idling around 52 degrees, and I hit 100 and crash my PC 5 seconds after launching a game. The fan isn't pushing hot air out of the radiator, and I can only feel cool air, but if I touch the backplate, it is burning. Any help is appreciated. ~Vizz.
  15. If it's October, please don't be around PAX AUS, because I plan to do both. Anything except October would be great.
  16. Heyo all, I've been planning to invest in a home network for a while now, and just wan't to confirm what I plan to do will work. As I live in Australia, home internet is pretty much a no go, as my house only has Fibre to the Node, and copper to the premise, meaning I get about 10 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up, with constant drop outs. I have an unlimited mobile data plan, which I have been using as my main source for internet, which gets an average of 150 Mbps down, and 30 up. I only get 4GX in my area, but looking at all the Mobile Broadband Hubs that Telstra offers, only the 5G one has an ethernet port. So what I am planning to do, is get the 5G hub (https://www.telstra.com.au/internet/mobile-broadband/htc-5g-hub), and plug an ethernet switch into its GB Ethernet port, and plug all my devices (PC, consoles, smart home) devices into the switch. Was just wondering if anybody can confirm that this should work? I Googled around for an Ethernet Hub, and all Google gave me was Switches, even though all the networking diagrams I have seen list Switches and Hubs as 2 different things. Thanks, Vizz.
  17. Hiya, This might sound dumb, but I'm planning my LTX 2020 holiday already, and was wondering if there's anywhere in Canada that shows in Summer? Being from Australia, I never see snow, and have to travel a huge distance to get to Vancouver to begin with. Cheers, Vizz.
  18. 2nd hand market? His local shops availability? A game he plays may hate AMD *coughs Destiny*. May be an Intel fanboy. ?
  19. They still only run in dual channel, so 4 identicle stick is the same as 2 + 2 sticks. As long as it runs in 3600, it should be okay. I don't know how much of a hit VM's take from RAM, but if it's comparable to gaming, the higher cas timings and the hit from using 4 sticks of RAM are about the same. Looks like these might be your best bet: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/47128/g-skill-trident-z-neo-f4-3600c16d-32gtznc-32gb-2x16gb-ddr4
  20. I 100% agree. I'm just going by the assumption that those are his only 2 options, as that's what he has listed, and others have already mentioned that Ryzen is the way to go.
  21. Is this an XB271HU? Have you tried the monitors menu, setting it to 144hz, because if I remember correctly, it comes at 120hz out of the box. Could I recommend setting the monitor to 1080p144, as it may be that your GPU can't handle 1440p and is throttling. All my nvidea gpus have locked to 24fps when they throttle, and only a reboot will unlock them.
  22. It really depends on what games you play, do you want to stream, and what monitor you have (60/144/240hz)? For most just gaming use cases, an i5-8600k would be plenty. If you want to stream, then the i7-8700k is the way to go without a second thought. If you are playing any CPU intensive games at 240hz, then I would recommend the 8700k. An i5 is still a solid choice for gamers who just want to game.
  23. I would recommend 1 piece. From experience, having 2 pieces may cause it to be lobsided, as one side sinks into youyr carpet more then the other. If a whole piece is too expensive, I would say front and back before left and right pieces.
  24. This isn't just a Ryzen issue. I had a single stick of cheap RAM with a 9900k for a few weeks (I bought the PC in chunks), and it causes major issues. I highly recommend always buying a dual channel kit.
