  1. As our famous racing car driver solberg famously stated: it isnt only only;)
  2. Epic. Exactly. Haha. Anyway. No harm done. I guess the paste is not conductive and it was only paste around the legs of two or three pins on the Edge
  3. It's actually an implicit question. But if you dont like it or mods feel it's to facebooky i couldnt care less. The point is i left some paste on the base on one area of the pin side. And i dont know how this can affect if at all.
  4. Btw i did not use the inappropriate alcohol on the pin side ....
  5. Yo #thatfeeling When you just thought that taking off the fan and swapping paste was a day job and eeeverything should just work out you know. Nope. I had smashed standard ryzen 7 cooler with default paste on top of the cpu. Not the most horrible idea really. Didnt have cleaning alcohol at the time. But seriously. The paste had covered the whole cpu. And when i took it out my fat dumb fingers managed to transfer some of it to the pin side..... Omg. So there i sat for at least half and hour with camera zoom on mobile, sewing needle, ear cleanser and "rødsprit" (dont know the translation, red alcohol? No idea). And tried to clean the tiny part of the pin side that had gotten the transferred paste. It was like climbing a 90 degree with no security. But in the end i just thought. Ok, its no paste on the pin it self. Just on the base. And my educated guess was that it was not silver paste. So i carefully reseated the cpu, added back the fan and started the system... It booted.... But to hell with fabric paste! Never more !!
  6. Ive heard whispers in the wind talking about ESO pegging one of the cores, and spreading the remainder of the work to other cores. This might explain my problems because I have a relatively modest cpu (if 1700 can be called modest, in unclocked terms). Maybe ill just try to overclock it, to see it helps anything. But I think ill check wifi/cable issues also. ram is at 2666mhz.
  7. I am using a godforsaken USB Wi-Fi adapter. That might be a part of the culprit. Been thinking about getting a pcie Wi-Fi adapter or actually dragging an ethernet cable across my apartment. I highly doubt it's memory speed. I'll check cpu usage
  8. I am maybe not too fluent in optimal gaming setups, but I thought that Elder Scrolls Online should run fine on my system. Both the gpu AND cpu is not bottlenecked. So why am I still not getting good fps? Any help is appreciated. When I run modern games like deux ex man kind my gpu is practically bottlenecked, so I usually turn the settings down one notch. But if ESO is not bothering to utilize my GPU 100% what can be the bottleneck that makes my fps dip below 30 sometimes?
  9. Ok. So if floatplane is the solution which contains LMG floatplane and bitwit ultra, is this floatplane? Its very confusing, since it says "Forum -> Floatplane -> Bitwit Ultra". From a users standpoint I am currently in a forum and not in any floating or non floating plane. Not a plane at all actually
  10. Script failed. Sent email to floatplanehelp. But this is utterly confusing. What is floatplane and what is not floatplane? Isnt bitwit also on floatplane? </confused>
  11. Landed on the following buy list: MSI B350M Mortar Arctic, Socket-AM4 (1 stk) AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Prosessor (1 stk) ASUS 24" LED FreeSync VG245Q (1 stk) Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" HDD (1 stk) Corsair Air AF120 Quiet, 120mm Vifte (2 stk) Kingston A400 120GB 2.5" SSD (1 stk) HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 32GB (1 stk)\ Works quite well as you can see. The machine has been idling for quite some time. Not sure if the gpu temp is low enough, but low enough for me at least. Thanks for all the help
  12. Ok. Adding a CM V650 fully modular psu to my buy list. Thanx for help. I have actually been thinking about getting a modular PSU. Much simpler cable management.
