  1. Since sound is an open topic discussion, i share here one article from Yamaha Blog with Dr. Floyd Toole, who is a famed loudspeaker and acoustics expert and weighs in on the importance of listening through neutral speakers. Yes, neutral speakers. Check it out Yamaha Blog - How We Interpret Sound: An Interview with Dr. Floyd Toole
  2. You can buy a mule too BTW: My wife handle the money in my house too. And we have a super tiny company... so... I never used to carry money with me either.
  3. Can you try this place? https://www.macpartsdepot.com/661-7513-lcd-assembly-display-a1418-for-imac-21-5inch-late-2012-2013.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw2dvWBRBvEiwADllhn5NbPxMnn2UDWQqQ7RJmo98ulJn1n30rZoC64WxVKcl44kmJoQVEpBoC7bEQAvD_BwE
  4. Some important tip-data that maybe is relevant. - Plex doesn't need a huge processor if you choose "original" to play on your device. - In the (client side) settings look for "original" even another option tha is not original is recomended. - Always use a wired connection, (that kind of buffer problems reminds me several treads on Plex support forum) Keep looking and tell us
  5. The Seagate BarraCuda® Pro HDD That's the best choice for this end of 2017 start of 2018 checkit out, I found only good reviews for a Desktop PC 24x7 and great performance for multimedia. Hope helps!
  6. With handbrake leave the anamorphic in auto and the crop in auto, check the preview. Works for me. I found this answer in the handbrake wiki. The latest versions of handbrake can handle that "bug" Hope helps
  7. I think, that maybe my answer to a similar question can help u (Click the link above)
  8. Hello In my experience you can expect some issues if your server needs to encode the stream to your TV or Stream Box. Example: If your TV doesn't support Atmos try to add a second audio track that your tv can support like ac3 or dts 5.1. Read your manual and find for the audio supported by your TV. If you have a HT Receiver be sure that it can handle the audio and passthrough the video and audio with you HT using HDMI wire. For 4K + Dolby Atmos or DTS-X you will need one HT that support that kind of audio and video formats and use HDMI HDCP 2.0/2.2 wires. *HDMI 1.4 only supports 1080p max Hope helps! Regards!
  9. Ok, I found this Video in Linus Tech Tips channel and the "HEVC situation" Info about my "HEVC decoding concerns" in the chart comparison (time is setup in the video to start in that chart) Thinking about have a Plex Sever in my computer and nVidiaSield streaming TV box I wondering if i need to change to i7700k just for the HEVC Thank you in advance
  10. Hi, thank you for your answer. The server is on the PC. My streaming box is the Nvidia Shield gen2 it can handle a Plex server, but I use the Plex client only and i have disabled the Server app on it. If you say that the "CPU on the Plex-server doesn't even matter".... That's good news to me!!!. I really appreciate your answer. In fact I always use "Direct play" i don't like decode nothing on ny Plex server, I like to play/watch the files in "original mode on my nVidia Shield. Thank you!
  11. That's a very handy info. I still use my old Paradigm 10" sub 120W powered, is more that enought for the space where I have my setup. My Receiver can handle 2 subs (It is a 9.2) and i like to add that those guys recommend use two sub's to get a better balance in the room and avoid "black sound holes" in some areas of the room. Thank you for the info!
  12. Hello, I have a Plex Server since 2 years ago. I'm running it on windows 10 OS My computer has a i7 6700K over a GA-Z170X-Gaming 6 16GB Ram G-Force GTX 750 TI (I don't use the card to watch 4k content on my PC, I stream all my content to my nVidia Shield) 6 HDD 3TB and 2X 4TB more on the way to add to a PCIE card eSata with a external eSata box I have some 4K movies (around 20-30), and I wondering if is true that the i7 700K can handle HEVC and my i7 6700k not. I read between difference in an old forum post here in terms of speed, but I can't find nothing about this HEVC specific question or other improvements that maybe 7700k have and the 6700K doesn't ...... + (question)... 16700k is 6th gen and i7 1700 is 7thGen? What is the real deal and why is that i7 700K is consider for many reviewers the best processor, even looking the Linus new videos and comparisons. I'm confused. I'm not an overclocker ( I need stability) I'm not a gamer either I just ask here because i know that are many expert people that can help me with my... stupid knowledge about this questions? .. I don0t know but I need help. Thanks in advance. H.
  13. Thank you for your complete response and time, sorry, i don't receive notification of your answer and is marked to get the notification... that's why until today I read your comment. About the perfomance 4K content , Plex Server and 8 hard drives handling between both. HEVC works in the same way is on 6700K and the 7700k? I just wondering, in some place ( I'm not sure) i yhink that I read thta I need the 7700K for HEVC codecs Is that true? Thank you! Really appreciated
  14. Hello, One year ago I bought the i7 6700k @4GHZ,I don't like what I read about my processor, in that time was one of the best in the market... Do I need to think on change motherboard processor and memory again? I use my computer for Plex Server, with 6 HDD of 4TB each full of movies and for personal use an development of apps, web, photoshop and things like that, I don't want to be short of resources. Thanks for any advice.
  15. Hello everyone! Ok, I have a Gigabyte z170x Gaming 6 (firmware updated F22) with 32GB of RAM Corsair, Intel i7 6700k @4GHZ, corsair water cooling processor, CX 750M Corsair power supply, HDD Intel 600p Series NVMe PCIe M.2 256GB (for OS only) with Windows 10 Pro updated, and AOC monitor C2783FQ (I know, is not the best but works fine for my needs) The situation is... IF I use my AOC C2783FQ connected to the "DP" ONLY, the computer won't boot... Well... boot, but after several wired tricks like hit the reset buttom or wired things like that. I'm very curious about this situation that bother me for some months UNTIL I unplug the DP wire from the card and the monitor, leave at side an try with the HDMI port and voilá! Problem solved, the computer boot perfect, no issues, nothing. My question is WHY in this world the "DP" have this kind issues. I choice de DP because it has more advantages with the picture. I don't use or need the nVidia audio via HDMI. I use the optical port of the motherboard for the audio. Does anyone can figured out where is the problem? Is the video card, the monitor, or is the motherboard maybe? I'm lost. nVidia needs the HDMI port always working to send the signal? Before change the DP for the HDMI I try everything on the bios video section, but nothing works... Well... that's my question/issue. Thanks in advance for any help or clue I'm glad to be here
