  1. There's really no reason to go for a 3070ti, unless you plan on live transcoding many high bitrate streams simultaneously. Even then it would be a questionable choice. 1070 will be more than enough for most use cases.
  2. How much money are you looking to spend?
  3. Hmmm.... I guess this could be possible, have no idea as to what it would be though.....
  4. Well that's creepy to say the least, but good to know that it isn't something dangerous.
  5. After looking through my network settings, I can confirm that doesn't even support WPS. I checked and I have WPA2 enabled. Will be on the lookout for any devices that stop working. Other than that, thanks guys!
  6. Well I just discovered that this device appears and disappears periodically. Not sure if this is useful, but still.
  7. I looked into this, however the mac address doesn't even show up in the DHCP connection list. I suppose I could try blacklisting it anyway... Also I don't have Comcast, I actually have FiOS. Don't even have a fire tablet lol.
  8. I should've clarified- I don't own any amazon smart products. I only have a google home and a chromecast...??.
  9. So recently I was looking at my network overview through file explorer, (Windows 10), and I found something very odd. A device under the 'Computers' category titled "csm_radar". Double clicking doesn't lead to any device webpage or anything, just a properties window (screenshot attached). Under manufacturer, it says Amazon, and for model it says AEORD. Other than that it only lists the mac address, everything else says unavailable. It is highly unlikely that anyone else would know my WiFi password. I am utterly perplexed as to what this might mean, any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Malwarebytes is a great free one if you don't trust defender by itself.
  11. an "eagles - super bowl champs" t-shirt (lol don't take this seriously- only said that cause of your pfp)
  12. this could either lead to something really cool or a complete disaster either way, I would be curious to see the result
  13. Don't know if this is something you're comfortable with, but here's what I did. I was able to find a GTX 980 for $300 right at the height of the GPU BS. However it was used, but I knew that I would have to take that risk if I wanted at least a semi-reasonable price. So basically here's my advice: try to find a used GTX 980 - 980 Ti you could probably find around $200-300 now and will offer even better performance than the RX 580 you mentioned. Even if you think this is terrible idea (it probably is, who am I to say after all) I would still recommend just going for it. Otherwise you'll end up waiting forever.
  14. Stop complaining Lol, i'm in the suburbs but i still pay somewhere around $115 a month for 100mpbs up/down
  15. Unfortunately this can potentially be a very tricky issue. Once I had the same situation as you described, but it was a combination of the graphics card and the power supply.
  16. oops, I guess I'm retarded Lol. yeah it won't work.
  17. Don't get me wrong, like I respect your opinion, but can you just explain why. Like we know it's just Linus being Linus and overall he means well.
  18. Something like this should do just fine: https://www.amazon.com/Highfine-Wireless-Extension-Bulkhead-Repeater/dp/B01GMBUS8O/ref=pd_sim_147_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01GMBUS8O&pd_rd_r=0ER83X2RB537JSXND6J8&pd_rd_w=8XTgy&pd_rd_wg=YSEze&psc=1&refRID=0ER83X2RB537JSXND6J8
  19. amazon has buyer protection, so just return soon and you'll be okay.
