  1. Hi Everyone, I am trying to build an Unraid Box and I am having trouble with my SuperMicro Motheboard recognizing all my cores even it recognizes all the logical threads. I am running the following: CPU: E3-1230 V2 MOBO: MBD-X9SCM-F-B BIOS: 2.3 6/12/2018 IPMI: 3.52 2016-11-10 BIOS does not report proper Physical Count, see attached picture this a Quad Core Hyperthreaded part, I don't get how it reports the logical count correctly at 8 but the physical is way off.I tried to, restore factory defaults, reflash the BIOS via DOS flash drive and clear CMOS by pulling battery and have not had any success. The machine posts, picks up all six drives attached to it and does not exhibit anyother problems, using memory on tested memory listMEM-DR380L-SL01-EU16 Samsung M391B1G73BH0-CK0 Samsung K4B4G0846B-HCK0 - 2 RoHS Low ProfileI tried to follow this post https://forum.netgate.com/topic/114231/solved-quad-core-only-showing-single-core-after-supermicro-bios-upgrade/7 but the JPME2 pins on this series of board don't have any jumpers and the manual does not describe that it does anything, I have opened a ticket with SuperMicro in the meantime does anyone have any other ideas. Thanks, Jack
  2. I bought a Gaming X 1080ti last week for $714.00. I am keeping it in the plastic until the 2080 benchmark embargo drops which is Thursday the 14th. If the 2080 is much faster I will return the 1080ti and pre-order a 2080. I would buy the strix gtx 1080ti and just not open it until the benchmarks come out. You have 30 days at newegg or B&H as long as you don't remove the plastic cellophane.
  3. You need to run cmd as admin, You can do that by right clicking on the cmd icon in the start menu and clicking run as administrator. Or by pressing left ctrl+ left shift + enter when hovered over the cmd icon. Or you could use powershell with admin
  4. If it is a 2011-early 2013 MacBook Pro there were many lawsuits and is a recall for GPUs that kept failing see link below. Most of the issues only happened in the 15 inch model https://www.macrumors.com/2017/05/20/apple-ends-2011-macbook-pro-repair-program/ https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/
  5. No it will not bottlneck see videos below. 3200 speed RAM is a must with Ryzen to get the most out of the platform Like someone said above if you can afford in X370 board they are committing to that platform until 2020 and with Zen 2 it will work.
  6. Make sure you cleared CMOS. I find it hard to believe you killed an ssd that fast.
  7. Looks good, Just an FYI you can not do RAID 10 without at least 4 drives.
  8. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA42J6E91774 That should work according to this article I am not sure if you are in US or not http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3525376/compatibility-compaq-6300-geforce-gtx-1050.html
  9. A VMWare host sounds like a good option to host virtual machines You are going to need at least one Domain Controller running DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Services, Windows File Services which could be on Server 2012 R2 or Server 2016. You can make cifs shares which is what the Windows File Services allow you set setup for sharing files and some programs. Those things can all be hosted on a single VM. SCCM is Windows native way of installing programs remotely that has extra cost and would need its own server or VM. This is systems task not a networking task you do not need a CCNA for this.
  10. From what it says here it can not support the 75 W https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Hp-Compaq-Elite-8300-SFF-psu-graphics-upgrade/td-p/5743592
  11. Card will not fit in case. I worked at a company that had 100s of these PCs you need a case/form factor with full size PCI slots. The best card that would fit would be a GT1030 if that even. It also wont work since the PCIE slots are only rated for 25 W. This cards has no external power inputs. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Hp-Compaq-Elite-8300-SFF-psu-graphics-upgrade/td-p/5743592
  12. So what it sounds like to me is that you need a rule to allow your client to get to the remote server via SSH port 22. In the VPN solutions I have used Forti-Gates I build a rule on both sides of firewall allowing 192.168.xxx.xxx /16 access to 128.xxx.xxx.xxxx /32 via SSH port 22. Or just move your client to that same setup in the 128 space. Again is this website externally facing and you are just trying to get access to it via SSH.
  13. Are you truly using ports 1234 and 2345 or is that just for example. If you have configured your VPN correctly you should be able to access 128.0.0.10 and 128.0.0.20 on both sides of VPN. SSH uses port 22. Also for future reference if these servers are not externally facing your internal IPs should be in the 192.168.0.0 /16, 10.0.0.0 /8, or 172.16.0.0/12 ranges.
  14. Upgrade your CPU/Moterboard to Coffee-Lake, which would require DDR4 RAM as well. If you are only a 1080p gamer upgrade the GTX 750ti last Your RAM and storage is not balanced with your GPU and CPU. Your NVMe drive is limited by the Z97 chipset and you have to do some crazy workloads to use 32gb of RAM.
  15. Maybe get an NVME SSD and if you are playing at 1440p at greater than 60 Hz/FPS I would upgrade to an 1080ti
