Okay - just got my hands on a network-unlocked LG v20. Time to get hacky-hacky :3 First, Imma nuke it and throw on the latest TWRP for it. Then, it's either AOSP, AOSP Ex., or LineageOS. Shooting for either Android 8 or 9 (since it appears that LG took their sweet time pushing updates) in this case, so no Android 10 in this case. Definitely looking to ditch the Play Store if possible, but I do use some apps that require it for purchase verification. Might have to leave a minimal version of it on the system, along with 2-3 other app stores of my choice. Will probably be rooting it, since some of my preferred apps and functionalities require root. Definitely have more room for apps than the Nexus 7 2013, so might have more included apps :D With that, here's the plan so far...

  1. OEM Unlock the bootloader (wipes the phone)
  2. Flash the ROM
  3. Flash the SU package and BusyBox
  4. Add my preferred ROM apps (apps that should remain after a reset)
  5. Pickin app stores and user apps

Included Apps will probably include the following:

  • Google Cloud Print Google's killing this service :(
  • Google Play Services + Services for Instant Apps
  • Google Play Books
  • Android System WebView
  • Google Drive
  • Google Chrome Dev
  • Google Assistant
  • Google In Apps
  • Accessibility Suite
  • Google Calculator
  • Google Camera
  • Google Lens
  • Google Clock
  • Android Keyboard (AOSP) SUX
  • Google Contacts + Contacts Sync
  • GMail
  • Google Now Launcher
  • FM Radio (AOSP/ROM)
  • Gallery (AOSP/ROM)
  • Quick Remote (ROM)
  • Google Hangouts + Voice (screw Duo)
  • Hangouts Dialer
  • Aurora Store
  • AppBrain App Market
  • Terminal Emulator
  • Google Earth
  • ES File Explorer Pro
  • Voice Access
  • YouTube
  • SuperSU
  • Xposed Installer
