  1. So i noticed this on my 3080 from MSI, i put in my 980Ti and no issues. So it seems it is those 2 little capacitors touching
  2. I have narrowed it down to either the GPU or the PSU. I swapped out my 3080 withe my 980Ti and no crashes at all. Now i need to go get a PSU
  3. Hello, I am hoping someone here can help me. I just upgraded my system from a i5-8600k to a i7-12700k. I am using a DDR4 board with a 850w Gold EVGA PSU. I replaced the first board which was a MSI Mag Tomohawk with and ASUS TUFF (ALDO DDR4). With the MSI the computer would shut off when I tried to play COD or BF2042. With the ASUS board it does a system restart. I stress tested both configurations with AIDA 64, HEAVEN, and Cinebench R23. No issues while under those loads for 15-20 minutes each test. I even ran the CPU and GPU stress test simultaneously have a ~200W draw from the CPU and over ~350 from the GPU and still no shutoff. Other specs: 32GB G.SKILL RGB Ram 3 NVME SSD's 1 SSD NOCTUA NHD-15 CHORMAX BLACK 6 LianLi Uni Fans I7-12700k (currently not OC) MSI RTX 3080 (LHR) EVGA 850W Gold rated
  4. I guess 4 hours (gaming load) 6-8 on regular tasks. Yes those are great laptops but they lack discrete gpus
  5. I would rather but the SSD from amazon (cheaper for more space) and have my IT install it USA, no real preferance on weight as long as its not 10 lbs (5 kg) and i would prefer a better battery life
  6. I am stuck in trying to decide which one to go with. Price wise they are both comparable. I get a discount through work on the OMEN so instead of paying $1200 i can get it for around $900. 10. Hello Everyone, I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about my build, as i am looking to make some upgrades soon and I am always open to feedback! So here we go! Intel i5-3570k 3.4 Ghz (4 Cores) 16 GB of G.Skill Ram Gigabyte GTX 980Ti 6Gb Ram Windows 10 64 Bit 3 TB HDD (can only use 2Tb) 512 GB SSD (OS) 3 BenQ 24in 1MS Gaming Monitors (Currently running 2 because i moved and lacking space) Razer Blackwidow Chroma Keyboard Razer Deathadder Chroma Mouse Any idea on what you think I should upgrade first would be much appreciated. I am currently debating about either going with the Intel X series of KabbyLake or the AMD Threadripper. I have always gone with Intel. So it is really a hard debate for me!!! Can't wait to see what your thoughts are!
