  1. Well, that's because converting a Chromebooks to another Linux distro or Windows isn't officially supported. Everything that Linus showed in this video is 100% supported and enabled by Google and the laptop manufacturers.
  2. What's the question here? Are you asking if they are similar in their quality?
  3. I still can't believe a company hasn't come to be re-celling old used OEM batteries with high quality cells. It's very expensive to get OEM batteries for even business class laptops that are 4-6 years old.
  4. It depends on what you mean by legitimate. If you mean an OEM Dell battery, almost certainly not. These batteries are Chinese knock-offs, but will still do the job of holding a charge, at least for 6-12 months. I find they fall off from there. Limit the max charge to 80-85% to increase the life of the cheaper cells.
  5. Yes, booting to another OS (ie. Linux portable on USB or something) and cloning it that way would also work, as that's the same thing you are describing. You just can't be using the drive has is cloning.
  6. It's not recommended to clone the OS drive while the drive is in use. You need a second PC in order to be able to do this appropriately. It may be easier just to reinstall Windows from scratch.
  7. Honest question: Why are you looking Atmos specifically? Are you looking to do a 7.1.4 setup or something similar Budget?
  8. Oh bro just really want to have the 3050 in his case.
  9. D-does.... it look like it's sagging? I'm confused.
  10. Why type of school are we talking about? High School? College? What year are you in?

    @soldier_ph That's a new record for me.

    Have another.
  12. I'm assuming this is due to some automatic OC on the newer CPUs? (PBO on AMD I think it's called?) I'm sure there's a way to limit or disable.
  13. Do you have any experience coding? What you are describing would be fairly simply to throw together in a few hours with some simple HTML and CSS without all the bloat of an external backend. Just simply serve on a NGINX container through a reverse proxy and you are golden.
  14. The only possible downside to undervolting is system instability, which you can fairly easly resolve. The benefits are lower temperatures and lower power draw. All around, undervolting is a pretty good thing. Disclaimer: I say this having no experience with 13th gen Intel chips specifically, and instead I'm speaking more broadly about the concept of undervolting. I've used throttlestop before works well.

  16. This is a ridiculous statement. In the US under 10% of new car sales are electric. If one has the means and desire to purchase electric, it's a good choice, but it's certainly not a necessity. Electric vehicles, their technology, and the surrounding infrastructure are, by comparison, still it's it's infancy. Yes, that's true, but it was also prior to entire suburban and metro infrastructure being built assuming you had a vehicle to transport you from A to B. You can't say "well cars worked in the 1920s prior to gas stations being on every corner so we deal with the sub-optimal infrastructure for electric!" because you can't live on sub-optimal infrastructure and live in the modern world. I need to know that my car is going to be able to take me where I need to go without worry and without question or hiccup because I can't accept anything less and be a functional adult in the US.
  17. stolen from this post on /r/PleX just an FYI for those of you who care, latest driver updates have increased the limit for concurrent encodes on most consumers card from 5 to 8. It previously was 3 last year. https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-and-decode-gpu-support-matrix-new
  18. It may help if you provide any information about your system. What fans are we talking about? How are they connected? Are you using a hub? What software? Detected by what? Are they spinning? Are they showing in BIOS? Are we talking about just case fans or CPU fan as well? What motherboard and which header(s) are they plugged into? Really, any information at all would be helpful.
  19. Whether a router has an app or not is not going to impact the ability of the manufacturing company from seeing information regarding your network. (by the way, you shouldn't be concerned that they can see your WiFi password, but rather having access to this information means that have access to all traffic running in your network) Routers are, by nature, connected to the internet. The difference between the companies is going to be their view/access into your network. You will only find this information by fully reading their privacy policy. As scary as Amazon is, they are still a US company and must follow US regulations, if that brings you any solace.
  20. While I agree, it's literally in the LTT Store care instructions: Personally, I wouldn't do it. Simply throw it in the tub, use a bit of Dawn and gently massage with soft sponge, dry flat. Regardless, I would contact support.
  21. This seems more akin to the UniFi issue from a month ago or so rather than the ANKER issues.
  22. I have never seen a 4 pin USB header, I'm almost certain you are mistaken about this. This cable looks like a simple 4-pin fan header extension.

    Wifi Card?

That's why keystone jacks are a thing. I wouldn't terminate to RJ-45 male if it can be avoided.

    Wifi Card?

Meh - For 500 ft of riser cable at Home Depot ,CAT6A is $20 more than CAT5E. I would just future proof and drop 6A, all else being equal.
