  1. Motherboard: MSI z370 sli plus CPU: Intel core I7-8700K GPU: MSI 1080TI Gaming X Trio PSU: Cooler Master B700 ver.2 (700W) Memory: Corsair Vengance LED 3200MHz 16gb (2x8) ddr4 SSD: Crucial SSD MX200 500GB HDD: WD Blue 3.5" 1TB 7200rpm Hi, I made this PC about two years ago and didn't face any problems till recently. I've noticed that while playing any game (the game I play the most is League of Legends but it happens during any games) my PC will either drop frames noticeably for a few seconds, then get back to normal, or it will freeze both video and audio, making that buzzing crash sound, and after a second it will fix itself. This happens about 2 or 3 times a day. Also this weird freeze will happen sometimes when playing a youtube video and at least in one instance after the freeze the screen went black for a second to then come back to normal. I don't run any overclock. I'm starting to worry if it has something to do with the card itself, as the only two changes that I made recently to the PC, before this stuttering began, was to update the gpu drivers and also force the windows 10 may update through their installer. I've tried rolling back the drivers but it appears that wasn't causing it, or maybe I just didn't roll back far enough. Anyways, any help is very much appreciated Thanks (P.D: Also forgot to mention I recently installed Wallpaper engine, that's the only other thing I've changed recently in my PC)
  2. Hi, recently (less than 3 months ago) I built this pc and already I've gotten this crash about three times. It seems to happen only while gaming and only on games that stress the gpu a bit, like Witcher 3, PUBG, and Overwatch (80% of the time I play league and it has never happened at those times). I'm not constantly monitoring the temps but I know that at peak the GPU has reached about 80C, although it mostly stays at 70ish, and cpu doesn't go past low 60's. The crash sometimes makes the screen go black after a while and requires a manual restart and sometimes it just puts me back at the windows 10 home screen. I'm running windows 10 64 bit EVGA GTX 1080ti i7 8700k MSI Z370 SLI plus CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Cooler Master B700 ver.2 and a 240 AIO liquid cooler
  3. yea... windows detected my old r6950 and installed some drivers that messed with the nvidia drivers
  4. I just connected my old gpu to my motherboard for a sec to see if it worked, which it didn't, and now that I connected my 1080ti back I'm suddenly getting very low fps on games I was just playing yesterday. Like 60 fps on witcher 3 when I had 144 easily and 80 on overwatch. Help please!
  5. Is this motherboard ok, even if I don't plan on running SLI? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pjPzK8/msi-z370-sli-plus-atx-lga1151-motherboard-z370-sli-plus
  6. I'm going for 3000 MHz memory for my 8700k but should I go for single or dual channel? The single chanel one is about 20 dollars cheaper and I'm also kinda running out of budget so if the difference isn't too big I'd be willing to do it, but also, since I saw that ryzen performed considerably better on dual channel I'm scared it will be the same thing with these new processors
  7. Since Coffee Lake has yet to arrive at my region I'm looking for recommendations on my first build. What relatively cheap z370 motherboard would you recommend for an 8700K. Also any general advice/tips/comments about this build: Case: Corsair 460x CPU: i7 8700k Motherboard: ? Video Card: EVGA gtx 1080ti Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB 3000MHz) CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB SSD: Crucial MX200 500GB Cooler: Thermaltake Frio Extreme PSU: Cooler Master B700 ver.2 (700w) (I'm not buying this, I already have it) Monitor: MSI Optix G24C (1080p 144hz) I'm looking to mainly game and edit on premiere pro and after effects with some sporadic streaming. Here is a list with the local prices for this stuff as well as a currency converter: http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=CLP&To=USD
  8. I'm going for an EVGA 1080TI with a ryzen 7 1700, 2x8gb ram,1 7.2k hdd, and 1 ssd. Would a 700w power supply be enough or should I go for more, considering I'll try to get around 3.9~4 ghz with ryzen and a decent oc on the gpu.
  9. I don't think I'll be playing on higher resolutions than 1080 anytime soon, but I do want 144 hz.
  10. So about a month ago my 6~ year old pc broke down and I finally decided to go for a completely new build. At first I was going to buy a 1080 but decided to wait for vega 64. Now that I see that vega 64 doesn't really outperform the 1080 I'm really thinking about buying the card but the only thing stopping me is Volta. Should I wait? Will it be worth it? Please note that I currently don't have a pc. (not that I need it urgently but It would be nice to build it after such a long wait)
