  1. Should I buy the model without ads or does sideloading the APK bypass the need to? I've watched a few videos and it seems the fire HD 10 is a good option but none of them seem to mention the integrated ads Looking at a set up similar to this as if it's much more complex the parents won't use it and it'll go to waste
  2. So C1 would be your opinion?
  3. Looking to upgrade my bedroom TV for the last few years I've had a 55" 1080 TV in the bed room and haven't really done much with it. I watch mostly YouTube and stream movies and TV shows occasionally. I've got a fairly capable PC with a 7600k and a 3070ti and am looking to get a xbox series x in the new year. I'm now looking to upgrade and I'm stuck at a cross roads between QLED or a cheap OLED both have amazing reviews both from good companies but just looking on other opinions. Samsung QE50QN90AAT neo QLED: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/samsung-qe50qn90a-50-inch-neo-qled-tv Only 1 port supports 120 @4K LG OLED48C1: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/lg-oled48c1-48-inch-oled-t All 4 ports can go to 120hz @4k There is another one if I don't want to sacrifice size but it's locked to 60 hz LG OLED55A16LA 55" Any advice or opinions would be hugely appreciated and thanks in advance
  4. How come you avoid google nest? Everything's through wifi apart from my computer, a few things drop out down stairs every now and again
  5. I've run a netgear X6 for a good few years now and recently started looking at changing to a mesh network just for a bit of better coverage. I'm looking at the gen 2 Google nest WiFi system will I notice much of a difference. Is it even worth it. Are there better options I know with alot of home networking it tends to be alot of "I've used so I reccomend" type deals so curious on others thoughts
  6. installed wrong psu cables when rebuilding nas and may have killed 14TB of storage luckily nothing important was on the drives question is are the drives dead dead?
  7. So i recently built a home server and after many weeks of distro hopping i finally chose unraid and opened it up so i can access community apps and started an ark server. now that all runs fine and is easy enough but the server settings seem very basic and i cant access or change anything is it possible to customise my ark game or do i have to play vanilla. i just want some quality of life mods and to up the settings a little to get higher levels. also id like to start a cluster server too but if thats not possible im happy sticking to one map any advice would be immensely appreciated as i currently want to slam my head into a wall
  8. So took my pc into a computer shop for a fresh install of Windows (long story short ran into trouble installing drivers went to Linux and didn't like the experiece and didn't have time to troubleshoot my driver issues as I already spent many hours on it to no luck) So pc shop marked my white case and I can't seem to get these marks off the case have scrubbed with isopropyl alcohol and no luck
  9. I also did update windows because at one point people were saying that was a solution
  10. Right so I recently done a fresh install of windows on my computer and now it will not let me install any Nvidia drivers due to either DCH or not being compatible with this version of windows. My GPU is showin as "Microsoft basic display adapter" in device manager and this GPU has worked previously in this computer if I go through Device manager directly and try to download the drivers automatically I get "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device" it does state that I am running a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080. if I try to update the drivers through C:\Windows\WinSxS it states " the best friver software for your device is already installed" I cant access the windows store to download GeForce experience to download it separately. I just get an error I really don't know what to do at this point because I feel like I'm chasing my tail. should I just download Linux or would that give me the same problems
  11. I hope this is the right thread to put this on but basically i have a Seagate 8TB HDD that i put a load of movies on but for whatever reason my TV has a weird 2TB limit meaning no HDD over 2TB can be detected and playstation also says it is unsupported. I can plug my PC to my TV but to me its not the best option i dont have wireless peripheries and frankly i hate how funny windows 10 is with switching display inputs. so i was wondering if there was a cheap device i could buy that would be a use as a medium between the external drive and the TV
  12. @Bananasplit_00Im not dissing them it was my experience with the case and it shouldnt have been shipped with a flaw in the first place and you specifically cut my quote to make me look like i said something i never with the vertical GPU mount i specifically said read it again "AND I MAY BE WRONG" the reviews i watched was well over a year ago sorry if i dont have an exact memory which is exactly why i said i may be wrong you are the exact reason why i stated that this was my personal opinion and that i knew someone would have to defend their own purchase its so predictable also if the case is flexing thats a real sign of poor quality
  13. yeah it wasnt too bad i did have to delid my CPU because of that case
  14. Probably the Evolv was the all round best case I had the none TG so the swinging side panels were great just to get into the back of the case it looked incredible But they all have separate reasons I loved all them cases: Anidees looked great and while it was a while ago I dont remember any problems while building in it Thermaltake core V1 was super light and small form factor making it great to move around NZXT was just a simple build experience with great cable management. Also another fault of the O11 is that all 4 of the super cheap feet it has have come off because they were just sticky pads and now it scratches my desk yay
  15. So before i start i want to make it clear i debated alot about writing this while i know alot of people on this site are awesome and open to other peoples opinions but their are people who will either feel the need to defend their purchase or people who will disagree because they've seen a few reviews and never even touched the case but the Lian Li O11 Dynamic sucks. im not a first time builder and have worked with plenty of different cases including the anidees AI crystal, thernaltake Core V1, NZXT H500i, Phanteks Evolv, and i have but am yet to build in the Node 804, i have also upgraded alot of terrible dell prebuilts ect. Now my personal opinion and experience of this case is that it is gorgeous it looks amazing and purely based on that my build is still in it. but as for the negatives the front panel's glue became loose and caused the front panel to fall off, this is also apparently a problem paul from paulshardware had now i didnt buy the case when it was just released but i apparently didnt get the refreshed one where they fixed that problem but i still dont believe that should have been an issue in the first place. the cable management is nothing special and a little bit of a pain to use. the second PSU mount seems like a useless expense and i may be wrong about this but im sure all the reviews i saw mentioned that it would include the vertical mount but apparently that is a paid extra (not a big issue for myself as i wouldnt have used it) ive had to remove 2 x 4tb of HDD storage as it was audle due to the front panel falling off and both of my front USB ports are really lose and usb connectors stick out around 1/4 inch. the mounting for the side pannels is really annoying as i have to remove the top to remove the back panel and i can never get the top panel to screw back in properly and it seems to stick up by a few milimeters. so yeah this was a lot more of a rant than i initially wanted it to be but this is the first case ive actually regretted buying as i always considered a case to be a box to put parts in and that includes the Thermaltake core V1 which had no cable management room what so ever
