  1. That's very accurate. The bigger the monitor, the higher the resolution must be. I don't like 24"+ monitors so I always tend to forget about them. 22~23" is the sweet spot for my taste.
  2. Okay so many dorm mates and my suite mate have the Mamba. And I got myself the DeathAdder. I only got the DeathAdder because I tried the Mamba and it feels so amazing, it's got the perfect shape, for my taste at least. However, it's kind of heavier than the DeathAdder, probably because of the battery, but it has a cool dock to place it and it's got an amazing battery life. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the awesome rubberized sides the DeathAdder has (it's... different in a worse way) so there's that. If you have a laptop or like to use your mice on your bed or whatever, it's a great choice. If you don't need the flexibility to use it "anywhere", then I don't see a point to get it. I myself had to make this choice a couple of weeks ago and I understood that I will never use my mouse+keyboard to play any game anywhere but on my table. So I don't need an amazing wireless mouse to play games, therefore I have a $15 wireless mouse to use it when I need the wireless feature. There's also the price difference... I'd say the Mamba isn't worth it, unless you really would like/need the wireless feature. If it's gonna sit all day long on your table, no meaning IMO.
  3. In terms of power, your PSU is just fine. You might need to buy some other cables to power up your new video card when you get it but then you just do a quick research and find out if you'll need them or not. Just as a side note, I like to think like this: 4690k + 980 > 4790k + 970, for gaming, if money is an issue.
  4. Same thread posted a few days ago... you probably need at least a toaster.
  5. You gotta collect stamps, whatever that is. Maybe watch some videos ? That's as far as I can go in the website That's great. Thanks.
  6. I can't access it form work but... is it on Steam or you download it and it doesn't need any other program, just a serial key or something?
  7. I'd forget both and get the Enthoo Luxe. It's so pretty (And the $50 premium you're paying is pretty much justified by the LEDs, better top cover, PSU cover and included SSD bracket. I'm in love <3)
  8. I just have one question: Where's @I/O when you need him/her? Damn, this post has so much potential, imagine his/her presence here!!!
  9. No one has a G-Sync monitor. If anyone has one, it's useless because I don't think any game supports it just yet. But, a year from now, who knows. That's what I meant
  10. Sorry but I gotta say: That's pretty stupid and mean. Personal opinion? Seriously? What the actual fack.
  11. 128GB is not enough space. Trust me. I'd say get either MX100 or 840 Evo with 250 or 500GB space. I believe the 256 was suggested the most because RAID 0 for SSDs isn't really needed as it's fast enough already in the regular way and 128GB just isn't enough space for someone that has many games/programs in the SSD.
  12. Even though the R9 290x is better bang for the buck, I'd go with the 970 just because it's been just released meaning that it will probably support the newest technologias nVidia comes up with (and that, usually, are used in most game [i'm talking about you G-Sync, you delicious slut]). If you don't have a budget so the cheaper the better, AMD is the way to go.
  13. WTF! Someone copied my rig... Just a few comments on your selected parts. I think you're wasting some money here and there... Do you really need the 4790k? Maybe the 4690k is enough for what you need... then maybe not. Unless you're going to do some serious overclocking, I wouldn't drop $100 on a CPU cooler. The 212 EVO, for example, is way cheaper and capable of cooling a slightly overclocked CPU. Sabertooth MARK 1 - pretty! No need for this memory. Seriously, do yourself a favor and save $50 bucks and get a regular 1600/1866MHz memory. The premium you are paying here is not worth for regular usage, you won't even be able to notice the difference from a "regular-low-performance" memory. As people like to say "memory? get the cheapest one". The SSD is kind of the same case as the memory. I would rather get 256GB SSD with an MX100 or 840 EVO than only 128GB 850 Pro because you won't be able to tell the difference in performance. While gaming it's only gonna show up on loading screens and the every day use you'll see minimal improved performance, not worth the premium IMO. Get an aftermarket cooled 980. Gigabyte, ASUS, EVGA, MSI, whatever, just don't go with the reference cooler. Good luck.
  14. It won't hurt to wait for black friday but I don't think the latest parts released, like the ones you chose, will be on sale... they don't need to get rid of them yet.
  15. I don't think I get what you mean here... why would you drill any holes on your table? And, also, it's not a "traditional" stand, it looks like the monitor is flying. Just watch some videos so you can understand better ! Anyway, good luck with your purchase.
  16. Gigabyte, you're doing it right. Love to see many brands doing awesome stuff on the GPU cooling market.
  17. That's really good, but takes a lotta space. I like the one I sent your because you can't even know where the "clamp" is at. And, by the way, the clamp words really nice. My table is made of MDF and it holds it well.
  18. Even though you mentioned you might wanna add a third monitor to your current setup, I can't miss the opportunity to say that this is the best purchase I made in the recent years. Well built, really sturdy and does amazing things, you can't even imagine. It's really fantastic and, even though it might not be ideal for three monitors, I can see it being really useful and practical for two monitors. Not cheap, unfortunately.
  19. I even got one day of free veteran in Heroes & Generals. Fuck yeah!
  20. Just as a side note, the NH-D14 is SO FREAKING CHEAP right now on Amazon. It's a kick-ass CPU cooler and should be considered if you don't have high profile RAM modules and your case can accommodate it.
  21. If you care for the looks, get the Sabertooth. If you don't, the ASUS Z97-PRO has some cool features. If you still don't think you'll use all those features, get something cheaper like the ASUS Z97-A... Spending a lot on your mobo isn't the smartest move, unless you know why you need a more expensive one. Also, if you still need to buy the rest of the parts, saving some cash here could mean getting a better GPU, more SSD/HDD space, better memory, etc.
  22. I didn't say you said that. Inception. Fair enough, I feel the same when people buy razer headsets. But Astros actually have good build quality (from personal experience).
  23. Have you tried them? I mean, I know they're expensive and all but they are really pretty, have a few cosmetic features that are a positive point, have a decent mic and are very comfortable to my ears/head. Sure there are better stuff out there for the same price or cheaper but it's not total crap. Also it works on both console and PC.
  24. I'm on the mood to do that as well... but I wonder if it will have "new product problems" like many new products have... It's a MARK I but white, so it's not actually new... oh gosh, it's so hard.
