  1. If you only want to play these two games, you will probably only need a dual-core without hyperthreading. The GPU is absolute overkill, but I didn't want to go to the 750 ti for $10 less. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor ($57.88 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus H110M-A/M.2 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Avexir Core Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($40.99 @ Amazon) Storage: PNY CS1311 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ Best Buy) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Mini Video Card ($109.99 @ Newegg) Case: Rosewill SRM-01 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($19.49 @ Amazon) Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($46.99 @ Amazon) Total: $385.32 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-12-16 09:51 EST-0500
  2. Get a new set of genetics. <--Most permanent way Consider getting a towel to wipe your hands on, or cooling your room down.
  3. I suppose just any mouse will do. Really! Personally, I use the Logitech M570, but thats a trackball. Does pretty well in gaming. It'd just be your best bet if you want a solid mouse for many years.
  4. My ASUS Strix GTX 1070 reaches 2050 in its OC mode, I don't know if this is comparable or not. Similar temps.
  5. Or the IDE PCI adapter since we probably lack the super fast IDE standard on the motherboard!
  6. Like mentioned, please try new audio drivers. It could just be static, I've had audio drivers resolve the static sounds albeit constant hissing for static on both speakers. an RMA for a motherboard sounds really painful to me. no doubt to you too!
  7. That would be the most likely time for a problem to arise, the first month. Problems usually come in the first month OR after many, many years. I'd recommend trying a soundcard, then sticking up with either a refund or an RMA to hopefully get a good MOBO.
  8. This may seem very stupid, but try wearing the headphones backwards, Solved! No more buzzing in the right ear! More seriously: Do you have an analog or USB headphone set? Try another pair to test.
  9. Considering you are up in the price range, consider going up to the Sandisk Ultra 2 480GB going for $103. I've had mine for a year and its pretty nice, only issue you might have is that its not the fastest around, but its still very fast as an SSD. imo a better deal than a $70ish 240GB.
  10. What I think you have to do is this: (I might be wrong though, so google about it!) uninstall your GPU and take it out install intel iGPU drivers so that it runs nicely Reinstall the GPU and its drivers results?? I have not tried this personally, just heard about such a thing.
  11. I'm going to go out of strictly cooling: Which would you rather look at? A beautiful heatsink or a beautiful lack of one? That is really what it comes down to, Air and Water both perform about the same (for closed loops/AIOs) with Air being the quieter and more reliable of the two (reliability in terms of longevity, perhaps leaks but especially put in favor toward Air due to a lack of pump.) If you are looking for a great Cooler for a pretty good price look at the $40-60 range, these will allow you to get very nice heatsinks without risking high temperatures. The range also destroys AIOs at the pricepoint, here are some models to look for: Cryorig H5 Ultimate (R1 if its in the price point) $47 H5, R1 is $70, too expensive. Thermalright Macho Rev. B $55 Dark Rock Pro (expensive, $65) All of these should be able to give you a good OC and good temperatures, be sure to check reviews. If you want a cheap one, the Cryorig H7 is also a good choice.
  12. You need to try these games with your current setup as is. It should be able to do Overwatch but I don't know anything about Call of Duty. The key would be to find out if the current setup is not sufficient.
  13. Air Cooling beyond the stock cooler will be more than sufficient.
  14. I see a troll, I don't even need pictures to detect him. A video would be like watching paint dry.
  15. Because it uses microwaves, if any bird managed to get in (somehow) It'd be cooked like the microwave does! Anyone up for an early thanksgiving and fried eggs?
  16. I later noticed that a major difference is the fact that the article posted in this thread is Post-Papers being released, showing all the data inside the experiment. Same topic, more information released today.
  17. I'll chime in: say we look at the weather, notice how they capture the density of the clouds? that is in effect, a picture of EM waves outside of the visible spectrum. Same with X-rays you get at the doctor. those are just examples on my mind right now. I wonder how an electron microscope compares.
  18. While I guess you could be serious considering the internet, I'll call you out as a troll. The only convincing argument that the moon was cheese was in Wallace and Gromit : The grand day out
  19. We already have Ion thrusters, this is totally different in that it uses a conical shape which breaks physics to produce a higher output per watt than an ion thruster. This uses Microwaves bouncing around and works on the basis of one side having more surface area than the other, which is the physics breaking part.
  20. Sorry to burst your bubble but, Its a propulsion system... there is no time traveling here. kinda fitting for your avatar If a paper by NASA is not enough, idk what is. They are doing more research on it.
  21. please link me, I had checked by searching EM drive and it failed to display a result.
  22. Read the paper released by NASA here: http://arc.aiaa.org/doi/10.2514/1.B36120 lol, you also can't take action pictures of a drive that uses electromagnetic waves either.
  23. Do note that this is different from the posting on Nov. 7th, here it has been verified and a paper released very very recently, the main difference. http://www.sciencealert.com/it-s-official-nasa-s-peer-reviewed-em-drive-paper-has-finally-been-published NASA has tested the EM drive based on a conical shaped enclosure and demonstrated that the device has produced thrust with only an Electrical Current, then breaking Newton's third law of physics. It reliably produces a thrust which makes me and probably a lot of other people very excited for the future of space travel if it turns fruitful! This could be a great leap past the rocket as the main form of Space travel! It could fundamentally change a lot of which we know about physics. sorry mods, I had posted this in the wrong forum which was off-topic.
  24. It has 2 times more threads. pretty much an i7 for $240. I just wanted to go ATX. I think you might be able to get along with a slower GPU
