  1. Continuing from here, as I thought about it more deeper. Yes, I know if Chromebooks would've sucks/such like that. But here's why my consideration regarding that. Clearly I'm really in a tight budget. Gotta say, the budget are around $150 USD. I could get a ThinkPad L380 Yoga but... Welp, I have to save for literally months to get that. I'll barely use it, like, really, perhaps like 2-3 times in a month. As I'm mostly living my life on office or my house (which I have a PC, specs as on my signature, for it), anyway. The point of getting the laptop/tab for me is simply when I do need things to do outside the home for light office work (I worked an assessment in Word using my phone and.. It sucks tbh). I could simply get an Android tablet for that but.. With the budget as above, I'd say I won't have a better experience with budget tablets, anyway. Welp, I want a 2-in-1 because I would love to have one lol, more like on how fun to use the 2-in-1 (because I never had it). Plus, it's darn portable if I have to say? I wanna experiment a bit with Linux and Chrome OS/Android-based software on it. Like using Chrome OS Flex or FydeOS. I found this, it's using N4100 that I quickly research should be better than of what I last post which is using a N3150. https://www.tokopedia.com/shoozay/lenovo-thinkpad-11e-n4100-4gb-ram-128gb-ssd-cam-hdmi-good-batery-mulus?extParam=whid%3D328576 Yet, I'll open for suggestions if it's indeed isn't worth it to get. Like, objectively speaking if it's still good to use even considering it's weakness in performance. Thanks in advance.
  2. Ah, I ever heard about that rubber coating on those laptops. Thanks for the insight. Yet, any chance of another 2-in-1 laptop models that I could find aside of ThinkPads? Preferably business laptop lineups as they would've be cheap and easier to find. EDIT: I'm thinking to get the L380 seemingly as it's seems good enough for my use. Thanks for the suggestions, y'all. Consider the case closed.
  3. All answers are considered, and welp none of you guys said it's good. I found this and could've the cheapest that I could find that's still got a decent punch. https://www.tokopedia.com/pandapc/lenovo-thinkpad-yoga-12-core-i5-12-5-touchscreen-laptop-2in1-ts-hd?extParam=whid%3D3821614 (i5-5300U), and yes, I did test an i5-5300U before and it's actually still a decent performer. Yet... I don't even know if the item's still available, so another 'cheapest' one. https://www.tokopedia.com/oceanla/lenovo-thinkpad-l380-yoga-2-in-1-intel-core-i5-gen-8-murah-ram-16gb-ram-8gb-ssd-128gb?extParam=whid%3D13738086 (i5-8250U)
  4. Okay, consider if I lower to 480p (I wouldn't mind tbh, my eyes are actually got used on that before lol), and objectively as for as simple when I need to do some typing while listening to music, does it still good enough? I have a PC anyway for much heavier workloads, so this one would be rarely used.
  5. In a nutshell, I'm eyeing onto those kind of laptops, being as long as it's got a screen, touchscreen, and I can do basic things on it (watching Netflix, YouTube, office work with Docs or MS Word, perhaps some little lightweight CAD either, or some really lightweight gaming like Papers, Please! lol). Sorted from the cheapest to the being the 'enough'. Perhaps will getting the 8 GB (as it's a bare minimum nowadays), perhaps 128 or 256 GB SSD (this is for only my secondary Windows device strictly for when I really need to do mobile work, and that's all). https://www.tokopedia.com/pandapc/lenovo-thinkpad-yoga-11e-touchscreen-laptop-2-in-1-quad-core-11e-celeron-4gb-ssd-128gb?extParam=whid%3D3821614 (N3150) https://www.tokopedia.com/pandapc/dell-latitude-3160-touchscreen-11-6-pentium-n3700-4-gb-ram-4gb-ssd-128gb?extParam=whid%3D3821614 (Celeron N3700) Just wondering though. Does Celeron N3150 still being a decent performer for basic use as stated above? Is the jump between N3150 to N3700 would be a benefit? Well, I won't expect much of it, but as long as it won't shutter so much when playing 1080p/720p YouTube video. Alternatively, I could get an Android tablet because we all know how efficient they is but.... I can't even find a 'decent' tablet with the price as the same as the ThinkPad. Thanks in advance.
  6. This is the problem. An old school Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge-era i3 processor, with enough RAM (8 GB perhaps), and a SSD, could do the same job fine enough for all of the users. Heck, my office are still using Sandy Bridge-era components and I do a lot of engineering drafting job while opening loads of Chrome tabs, it simply still works decently. Assume if you even could go for the latest generation of hardware, Intel 12th gen Celeron would do the job really fine. Problem is with such setup that you thought about with only 1 server to 3 users, when that one server went down, all three people couldn't work, and in some critical times, it could potentially dangerous for business when some urgent things happens on one of the user. Yes, this is cool, but it doesn't offer the reliability that enterprise users actually prioritize. Not to meant to cut off your idea, but this kind of setup, if I thought, really unsuitable for office use, as the same of above I explained is the reason. Hence why, LMG staffs are using one PC per-person still. I'm an avid Linus viewer too, and every single one of those multi-user server PC he made, unfortunately, is basically only for gaming use. This won't be even cost effective at all. You could get two PCs for two staff for that price of that one extender.
  7. My work is using a PC for 'more heavier loadwork' (but, well, see the specs yourself), that one can remote onto it, perhaps with maximum of four users simultaneously, to draw 3D with SolidWorks. Question is, how in the heck they did it without any 3rd party program? I'm genuinely curious on this.
  8. Perhaps the problem lies on the GPU itself rather than on the CPU. Even if your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU, it shouldn't perform that bad. I have a (kind-of) similar setup like you and I can still run Cyberpunk 2077 on medium 1366x768, averaging 40-60 fps. And yes, my E3-1225 v2 bottlenecks that 1650 really hard. Rather, when playing a game, please check the GPU temps and see if your GPU fans are noisy or not. This would be more noticeable when you're running heavier games.
  9. Definitely yes, and artifacts like those could be fixed by placing the GPU on a oven, which is a common practice to hopefully solves the problem. Don't hope too much though, rather as well to put it on the trash bin if it doesn't work. Replacing any thermal paste/pads unfortunately won't solve anything as what's coming to death is the hardware itself. Although you can just simply get a decent secondhand GPU and, voila, you got a decent gaming machine.
  10. We need more details as of what did you do onto your computer (cleaning? repasting? or else?) as to more detailed answers either. As for cleaning and repasting, I assume the thermal paste either being too much, not spreading nicely, or it's not a good one.
  11. Just saw them, and seems it's what I'd pick either. Although OP could've go a little bit cheaper if he get a lower capacity SSD, as so far I game the SSD don't do much honestly.
  12. Could go for those Aliexpress RGB fans or some cheap (yet decent) ones from id cooling. Might be another consideration, I agree if stock cooler is enough but getting a decent (even cheap) cooler would've kind-of comforting a bit since the CPU will run on way lower temps and getting a little more headroom for the CPU to perform would've good for little future-proofing. @NF-A12x25I edited a bit of your part list (which actually we have the same near-exact component recommendations) with some of my own recommendation, plus RGB. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MxbHbK Welp, nvm. He just edited his post that he have a 1080 lol, so should be the same as yours.
  13. It's fine, CPU nowadays would've simply throttle if it tries to hurts itself, and it seems yours don't. Although, I would consider to change for a more decent cooler though if your workload would've be that high in your daily use (rendering or such). 70-80 degree would be the at least comfortable temps that I would go for.
  14. As above said, but you can always go for 500W for a little future proofing and some little efficiency improvement. Cheapest option (that I'm at-least comfortable to go with if budget is restricting you) would be something on C tier in this PSU tier list. https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
  15. That FX-9590 is (hugely) overkill for the task you want to do. Another PC with way more lower power usage would've be nicer for your bills, or even an old laptop could do the job fine. Otherwise, you actually only need the cooler and 8 GB of RAM should've suffice for the job you want to do. To put the context though why I recommend that, I assume you're in the US, and with that running 24/7, you'd pay $10 per month if you're using it as a server.
  16. It's an Acer Aspire 4253, AMD E-350 APU, 2-3 GB of RAM (I forgot exactly how much). It has a 1 TB HDD now (previously it's my family's NAS server for movies) but I plan to get a secondhand small-size (32/64 GB) SATA SSD for it simply because it's slow af, and got bad sector, and I don't plan to use it as a NAS anymore as I stream movies/series lately anyway. It doesn't have any screen (so I have to plug a monitor to it) and even removed the screen hinge either, and unfortunately no wireless module as I removed them. Well, I could try install Linux/else for using it as a some server, I could use it as a home automation (like Home Assistant) server, or even dedicated game server, but what else that could be fun to make use for it as I simply want to experiment on it rather to keep the thing scrapped? Thanks in advance.
  17. What kind of server? I don't think it's a good idea to run a 'room heater' (it's 80W idle, and even 350W in full load) 24/7 if you don't want to hugely bloat your electrical bills. Also, we need to know the details of your existing RAM and CPU cooler brands/photo as to know what we expect to upgrade.
  18. For such purpose, all of those would be enough I think. Both Netgear and Linksys are good of what I heard (never tried those though), but I have few TP-Link devices for years and they don't disappoint me yet fortunately despite they're cheap.
  19. My work asked me to improve the efficiency of making drawing by me making a database of the drawing itself. For example, I have those template drawings, which every one of them being different types. And I want to make them for each type to (kind-of) look like this and I could just simply select the type, and fill the table, without doing much of moving the viewports everytime (this actually wastes so much time) I want to change the types. FYI, the same principle are actually already implemented, but somehow it's using Excel and it particularly doesn't look good and inconsistent (my main concern) to my other drawings as it's using bitmap, drawing screenshots instead of using vector as CAD does. Is this actually possible to do? I read about AutoCAD datalinks and databases but clearly I need to learn way deeper of what I know now. Or is there any good AutoCAD tutorial book/videos that I can learn deeper? EDIT. Or it could be like this either. Thanks in advance.
  20. PC specs as in signature and I don't too mind to play in low quality as long as it's got the fps. Lately I played: Ace Combat 7, finished the story for... 3 days. Feels darn short if I have to say. RDR2, finished the whole darn story. Ready or Not. Welp I played this while I just wanted to. The Sims 4.... Welp, have a family - motherlode - happy family - dead - repeat. Hitman. Finished the whole story. Wanted to continue to the trilogy later on but I have no space in my HDD. Call to Arms, Men of War, welp just random skirmishes. BeamNG, just crashin' around. RimWorld, welp as the same as The Sims 4. Welp, what I wanna play is what's revolve around those game above. Single player games only please (because I don't really have fun in frustration of a teammate ruining my multiplayer games), could be strategy, simulation, racing, third person RPG, etc. If the story's good and I can play it for long-enough days (as like RDR2), then poison me with that one. Thanks in advance.
  21. I did saw a fake 1050 Ti and it definitely will plague on 1060 onwards. Just tell the seller to use GPU-Z or be gone. If it's showing like so, forget about it.
  22. Patience is the key, bro. You don't rush to buy such things if it ended you gonna waste that money.... Again. Especially with secondhand items. If you wanna get it cheap, get it from a friend instead that you know how he'd use the thing. I got my 1650 and paid only 50% of the secondhand market price by so.
  23. Nope, evade such thing. Either it's indeed a damaged GPU (which isn't worth it to get anyway if you wanna use it long-term in reliability wise... You really don't want it randomly crash when you're using it), or it's a fake GPU, as driver that won't install is one of the main symptom of a fake GPU. You can simply ask the seller to use GPU-Z and it usually shows if it's a fake GPU or not.
  24. I personally tried 1500X + 1050 Ti (on my bro's computer) and it's kind-of a solid choice either. Although... I don't know if I 'would use' that extra power either, as my usage isn't exactly that demanding. But we'll see though, noted on your suggestion. I already have a CM T20 so.....
  25. I'm actually kind-of eyeballing the i3-12100F lately, heck of a CPU tbh. And yes, I can barely find any Alder Lake secondhand CPU unfortunately and... The brand new price on me... Simply too high. If I could take any brand new, my best bet would be on 10105F, but obviously I rather to take secondhand Ryzen tbh, considering the performance-price ratio. I'm open of all options as long as it's 'cheap' tbh. If I even could re-use my mobo and RAM and simply get i7-3770 or E3-1270 v2.. Why not? But I do know my current platform's ancient af for today's standards. So obviously I'd get something on 2018-2019 CPU era or above like Ryzen or 9-10th gen Intel. Considering my UMR salary (welp you definitely get what I mean) and obviously I wouldn't go too deep on Ryzen 5xxx either... But noted on your point on AMD mobos and your item recommendations though. Duly noted. Will either compare it with Intel's counterparts either.
