  1. Has anyone solved this yet? I would like to keep my two 2411z 's as second and third screens and somehow use 144hz for racing, it is well known the HDMI port does not support high-resolution refresh rates for this monitor so an adapter is really the only option. I have a 1080 that only has one DVI-D with two DP and two HDMI, however, I am planning to get a 2080ti that is 3 x DP and 3 x HDMI with no DVI-D's
  2. There are no reviews by credible sources yet only amature ones by new youtubers that do not cover the most important features like the DAT, Let alone trust the ones that did. Sorry you seam to be offended by the notion that we want a promising product reviewed, should i expect no Zen review either? Just his promo video from the conference? Thanks for replying to the thread with irrelevant remarks.
  3. Honestly my idea and opinion is buy the 1440p, you can always play games in 1080p when you need to when you weigh in performance verse visuals.
  4. Anyone else waiting for this? I kind of feel like we need to know his opinion on the Dynamic Accuracy Technology and it's been long enough I just don't understand? Maybe I missed something and got it wrong? I just youtube linustechtips 2735 every now and then and nothing. Thanks
  5. Im glad you got decent advice to avoid the Rival and Deathadder as they are far too big and slow to be effective for what you want. Logitech g100s is one of the most popular mice around atm, Skadoodle and half of the other Cloud9 members all use this and he is near best AWP in world right now CSGO. They cost about 40 usd/euros but you can get one delivered off Ebay for 19 usd. Add a pair mouse feet so you can remove the weight from the shell taking it down to 69grams from 83. This will also make the Lift of Distance much better then without the extra feet as its slightly higher then most mice. I strongly advise you to buy the feet that give better LOD and so you can remove the dead weight from the shell otherwise the mouse will probably be too specific for general liking. 18.85 USD delivered http://www.ebay.com/itm/Logitech-G100s-Optical-Gaming-Mouse-Genuine-Free-Shipping-/331169861958?hash=item4d1b431146 Competition 0.6mm 1 pack 2 sets = 5.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hotline-Games-Logitech-G100-G100s-Mouse-Feet-2014-Edition-/111437478918?var=&hash=item5f8f3d4c91 remove 15g weight http://www.getdriver.com/how-to/2471/make-logitech-g100-mouse-lighter.html Its without a doubt probably the absolute best shell i have held imo, will be really nice for claw grip since its small and light, once you use a small light mouse you will never want to use a brick again (100gram deathadder/rival ect) Worst case if you dont like it, you have a really sick and reliable FPS mouse you can save as backup or sell to a friend for profit. Either way it was a good solution for me not wanting to spend 70-80 USD on a mouse i wasnt even sure i liked. I use a Zowie ZA13 now though, G100s only fault for me was the sensor position, which is a little further towards the middle then the WMO.
  6. Can i get some clarification on a few things, the term "Isopropyl" is universal or mostly American labeled on Alcohol? In France it all pretty much says Alcohol and a % Rubbing Alcohol is indeed the same thing or not exactly, also been reading on opinions between 70% and 90%? Both which are said to be fine just require different durations for evaporation? The 70% i have is slightly yellow and brand new the 90% is clear but probably 8+ years old. Should i go buy new 90-99% Alcohol just for ease? My fancy Gelid GC Extreme arrived yesterday and i'm ready for it hopefully. First time reapplying thermal paste is there anything too revolutionary to know? Most of the google and youtube guides are very fast and basic, could only find a video from Linus old channel in 2008, perhaps i missing the newer one?
  7. My brother used this 6 months before we bought a second PC, he reminded me he by mistake put extra paste on the h100i since it didnt look to be pasted, so i want to buy new paste and redo the heatsink just to see if thats possibly where the burning smell came from rendering a hour at 75 degrees. Is there any high end paste you can suggest or should i just buy whatever i can local? I want to just do the Xs and Os to cover everything. Local store says i have 2 years store warranty as well as whatever the manufacture has Bought some Gelid gc-extreme thermal paste and a power supply tester both from ebay vendors of 10-100k 99% positive rating. i guess thats all i can do for now I just know taking the PC into the store i bought the hardware from will probably cost more then 2-3 gold psu
  8. so I unplugged my pc to investigate the next day and do it right. I plugged in my old pc and bang it's psu most likely died, so now I have no idea what to do. at the moment I will probably just order a new psu a maybe test my main psu on the one I suspect blew up. So now I'm a iPad warrior with sad.
  9. Ok im convinced enough i need to do it properly, i will replace the PSU, probably redo thermal and everything and fill any extra fan slots in my PC, forgot to mention the case is a little Corsair 300R. Can i use this non gaming for a couple days / a week or is it best to just shut it off now and wait? Got a nice little i7 920 first gen and a saphire 270x to fall back on )) its French website but feel free to make suggestions so i dont run into same problem in future http://prodimex.ch/pGroupe.aspx?FAM=COMPOSANTS&ONG=BOITIERS&GRP=ALIMENTATIONS just click on the brand and it will filter that way
  10. Sorry i wasnt clear in my post, i opened up the case not more then 5 minutes later and can smell nothing at all from anywhere.
  11. If it is the PSU is it something i just leave and replace if it dies or is it a urgent replace now thing? The goal is to obviously protect the rest of my PC.
  12. Yes another burning smell when rendering thread! Most of them which i googled are a good 5+ years old so i thought i would get a quick thread here and see what people say. I had tried to render this video like a half a dozen times, it kept freezing at 60% or so, so i changed the preview on Sony Vegas to low quality, i restarted PC, i went from 60fps to 30 ect to get this going for about a hour. So i come back after 20 minutes and its almost done and i smell a very very light burning smell. Video has 30 seconds left so i just let it go. checked the last 30 seconds with HW info and all cores were 99% with temps 70-75, It idles at like 35 this summer fyi. Don't think it ever goes above 60 in my most intense CPU games. 4770k @ oc 4.2ghz / stock volts Asus Maximus VI 16gig Corsair Vengence 1600mhz 240gig SSD Kingston Asus Strix 970 h100i Corsair CX750M psu General google tells me it could be dirt/dust around the fans or cpu cooler? Could be the Thermal Paste burning? or even the PSU frying? How much or how little thought would you guys put into this? What should i look at for how long over next few days for peace of mind or an answer? When i opened the case a few minutes later i couldnt smell anything from anywhere specific, the whole thing in general was super light smell and not strong. Had the PC about 18 months minus the GPU, Has been OC only a few months. I got a whole series of videos planned to create over the next few weeks which will probably result in dozens of hours of rendering ahead. Thanks
  13. So im looking for a MSTAR device that i will be able to use to update my firmware on my Benq XL 2411Z. The original MSTAR device that was suggested is listed as out of stock/discontinued for the past few weeks so i cant even find the right link for the exact product they were suggesting buyers. Now the same website weeks later has more MSTAR devices, so so many that i have no idea whats what! The old device they had suggested was about 50/60 usd but it had 10 fold the amount of connectors as the cheap ones here. Now i see this specificly has sold two dozen products while the others have only sold a few here and there (look on the link it says transactions) So.. from a programmer/desginer/guru pov will i be able to update the firmware on my monitor with this cheap device that seams to be selling well. http://cart100.com/Product/35281244949/LCD_USB_LCD_programmer_programmer_progra/ This is the guide to updating firmware incase you need a more detailed decription of what i am trying to do. http://www.blurbusters.com/benq/diy-firmware-upgrade-for-benq-z-series/ All MSTAR Devices http://cart100.com/Search?SearchText=mstar&catId=0&catId=0 Original Blurbuster thread i made http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1181&p=8841#p8841
